On the other side of river Elbe, you see the fortress Königsstein, out of the forest rises the mighty Falkenstein. The deeply cut passage between the rocks is completely covered with sand and looks like a piece of desert and is a unique photo opportunity. * **Schmilka:** This traditional village is often described as the most beautiful village in Saxony. * **Bad Schandau:** Hike, feel good, come back - that is the motto under which Bad Schandau welcomes its guests. Beautifully situated on the Elbe, Bad Schandau is the most centrally located holiday resort in Saxon Switzerland.
