Disconnect & Connect in Nature
Iām putting together a small hike trip weekend in Hoorneboegse heide in Hilversum, the idea is to come with a few people who want to step out of their routine, spend time in nature, and meet others in a relaxed way.
This is not a tour or a structured retreat.
The idea is simple step out of your comfort and everyday life to reconnect with nature and with each other. We will
ā explore the beautiful nature
ā share a few moments together
ā and keep things easy and natural
There will be time together (walks and sunset).
Group size will be small (around 2- 4 people), to keep it comfortable and personal.
This Meetup is to connect people who are interested in real and human connection
If this resonates, feel free to join and Iāll share more details š

Cross-my-heart trek/ We walk 25 - max 75km for charity / North Dunes - Den Helde
For the first time ever, we, as Outdoors in Utrecht, will be undertaking a walkathon for a good cause
Stichting Hartekind is a non-profit charity organization (and the only one in NL) that provides funding for scientific medical research for heart diseases affecting children (0-15 years)
https://www.hartekind.nl/
We will be hiking the entirety of the north dunes reserve up until Den Helder to raise awareness about the organization & its actions, plus raise funding for the organization
If you want to participate, that's awesome! You can join for the full hike or part of it
Starting point is Castricum train station @ 8:00 in the morning
You can also join of course for part of the hike.
The route & its milestones are
* Start point --> Castricum train station
* Eggmond aan Zee (15km)
* Bergen aan Zee (10 km)
* Camperduin (10 km)
* Petten (10 km)
* Callantsoog (10 km)
* Julianadorp (10 km)
* End point --> Den Helder train station (10 km)
Aim is to be at Den Helder by 23:00 - 23:15 so anyone can take the last train back home to Utrecht/Amsterdam/other
Our pace will be 5-6 km/hour on average. You can pace yourselves with us but, in order to achieve the full route within a day, we can't slow down and do our normal amount of breaks
I recommend you stick with us, and when it gets rough you can drop out completely at a milestone point or continue at your own pace from there. I'll provide a full visual map closer to the event day
if you cannot join, but still want to support, you're more than welcome & appreciated to donate for the cause
Here is where you can donate
Please only donate an amount you feel comfortable with, and don't financially push yourself š

Note that this event will not be postponed, unless there's major weather warnings, or train traffic issues. Even if it rains, this event is happening
I hope you join me, even in spirit, in this cause of mine

Immersieve ervaringen: van verhaal tot beleving
*Please note: this meetup will be held in English.*
In this first meet up, you will be shown a set of immersive artistic and design research experiments.
Project Thuis conducts two years of artistic and design research into immersive experiences that place the body at the centre. The central question is: "How can immersive experiences in (semi-)public spaces contribute to a sense of connection, belonging, and 'feeling at home'?
To explore this, a multidisciplinary consortium consisting of [Fillip Studios,](https://www.fillipstudios.com/) [affect lab,](https://www.affectlab.org/) [Introdans,](https://introdans.nl/) [Utrecht University,](https://www.uu.nl/staff/SPonzanesi) and the [Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences,](https://civicinteractiondesign.com/) has embarked on a creative journey together.
Within the context of Project Thuis, this meetup will focus on artistic and design research forms applicable across various disciplines.
**Programme:**
16:00 - 16:15: Opening
16:15 - 17:15: Interactive session
17:15 - 17:30: The role of the maker in the future of immersive experiences
17:30 - 18:00: Networking and drinks (including presence of [CIIIC](https://us2.mailchimp.com/mctx/clicks?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ciiic.nl%2F&xid=f4ced03a90&uid=2313462&iid=e62065ab18&pool=cts&v=2&c=1780312609&h=0b99fb0b79b5fe3d2625a4891bea9d8bc6ef045db3b8ee6ffe56d6cfc6e501c4))
Within the context of Project Thuis, this meetup will focus on experiments that you, as a maker, can use to conduct artistic and design research across various disciplines.
*[This event marks the first in a series for Project Thuis (Home). Ontwerp Platform Arnhem has been invited to organise the meetups. We strongly endorse the importance of initiatives like this, and are highly committed to connecting designers with these themes and consortia](https://www.ciiic.nl/)***[.](https://www.ciiic.nl/)**

Wine Tasting - Newcomers Night
This is "***New Members Night***." If you are one of the many folks on the fence about coming to your first wine tasting with the *Hilliard Wine Club*, this is the night to come. There will be many other new people, so you won't be alone. And the regulars will be there to help make you feel welcome. We're a relaxed and warm group. We hope to see you.
**SIDE NOTE:** New members are welcome to ALL our Friday night wine tastings, but this night is a special overture to those who don't want to feel that they are the only new person in the room. Don't worry. You won't be. And don't hesitate to RSVP to other events.
**OLD MEMBERS NOTE**: Hey Old Members! You're not excluded from this event. We expect to see you there to help make the new members feel welcome.
**Sample 4 different wines** this Friday for $15 (*Cash or Venmo only please*). Glasses are provided. Bring a snack to share. Bring a bottle to share if you care to. See all the details below for the Hilliard Wine Club Wine Tasting. In Person. In Real Life. Actual Wine from glass bottles with corks and everything.
**Wine**: Tastings will be $15 for four samples as always. And you are welcome to bring a bottle of your favorite wine to share with others. Participation in the wine tastings is optional. But since youāre going, I will buy enough wine to cover you. If you bring your own wine and do not participate in the tasting you will only pay $10 to cover the door charge.
**Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby.
**Glasses**: ā¦will be provided. Please note that after the wine tasting, the glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please be gentle, our glasses are fragile. Uh, they are made of glass!
**Food**: You are welcome to bring a snack to share. It is not required. Most people do though. If no one brings anything, there will be nothing.
**Code of Conduct**: Though mostly understood, itās still worth mentioning. We donāt have rules per se, but we highly discourage the following topics of discussion because they are likely to incite anti-social responses - Sex, Politics, Religion. Please donāt mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions.
**Extra Wine**: After everyone has had their samples, we remove the pouring spouts and any remaining wine is poured freely to whomever wants it. I hate having leftover wine.
**Queen of Hearts**: The Queen of Hearts raffle is a fundraiser for the club and a Barnum and Bailey type extravaganza - minus the dancing ponies, clowns, and actual circus. Bring your ***cash*** as the Queen does not accept American Express or other plastic.
**After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, if you still havenāt had enough of us, it is typical for a group to get together and go to a local eatery for food and/or drinks or coffee.
Again, We look forward to meeting new members and reuniting with old friends.
Sincerely, ***Paul Uttermohlen***,
**Red 1 Realty**

CMG Gives Back: Serve Dinner at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, weāll help āCreate a better worldā by helping serve those in need. NOTE: Weāre switching it up this time and going with a DINNER shift on Mon, 7/6. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
FAITH MISSION ā GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces.
PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for DINNER from 4:30 to 6:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 4:20pm and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
LOCATION: Faith Mission ā Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking are available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details:
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain youāll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to those volunteering at this (or any of our previous or future) CMG Gives Back events!
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
