Let's Be Honest Together
This event has a different topic each time and includes a variety of interactive exercises. It's an engaging and creative way to express ourselves, and connect with how others think, feel and deal with life. We will aim to provide a supportive and sate environment and open up about our lives freely.
A lot of times we don't talk about what we are really going through because we are worried of what people might think of us. This causes us to bottle things up, feel disconnected with the people around us or feel ashamed of ourselves.
Anything you share in the session is confidential and shall not be disclosed outside of the room.
Please only RSVP if you intend to come and change your RSVP to 'No' if you are not going to be able to attend.
• **PRICE:** 5 € to cover the room (Revolut/Cash/ Paypal). Please pay the fee after the workshop.
• **TIME:** We will start at 19:25 and finish at 20:55.
Please be on time, to respect other members in the group.
• **VENUE:** We are meeting at the Abbey Presbyterian Church - Parnell Square N, Rotunda, Dublin 1 (entrance on the side of Frederick St.). The room is on the first floor, at the back on your left.
• **NOTE:** Even though the event is held in a religious institution, the group and the event are entirely secular and the exercises are by no means related to spirituality or religion.

Tango Film Screening – Midsummer Night’s Tango
**THUR 2 – DUBLIN**
Location: Scot’s Hall, Clontarf
google maps [https://maps.app.goo.gl/uvSzH6BwTH7gwaAv5](https://maps.app.goo.gl/uvSzH6BwTH7gwaAv5)
A charming comedy, following an Argentine guitarist (Diego "DIPI" Kvitko - Our festival’s guest artist) and singer (Chino Laborde) who travel to Finland to investigate a surprising claim: that tango was born there. Through encounters with Finnish musicians and tango lovers, the film explores how this deeply Argentine music found a second home in the far north. What begins as a humorous cultural question becomes a touching journey about identity, nostalgia, and the universal language of tango.

The Literati Dublin
Hello Everyone!
Let's read something before coming to the event. It can be a few pages from a book, an article, a poem, an advertisement, a joke, a recipe, a quote, social media content - anything you find interesting. We meet and chat about it, as a starting point of conversation.
Please feel free to bring books :)
Accountability Circle for Professionals & Founders
If you’ve ever left a meetup thinking *‘Nice people, but nothing really happened’* — this space was created for you.
This is a **curated in-person meetup** for growth-minded professionals and founders who value **focus, depth, and action** over noise and small talk.
We meet **every 6 weeks** in a **private room inside a bar** — not in the middle of a loud crowd, not at shared tables, and not competing with background music.
This space is intentionally chosen so that:
* conversations can go deep
* you can actually hear and think
* your time feels **protected**, not diluted
This is not a “drop-by networking event.”
It’s a **deliberate environment for clarity, motivation, and execution**.
### **What makes this different**
People often say:
* “I hate loud bars where you can’t talk properly”
* “I don’t want to pitch or be pitched”
* “I don’t want to waste another evening with nice conversations and no outcome”
This meetup is designed to avoid exactly that.
Here, you:
* come with clear goals
* leave with concrete next steps
* meet people who are **already taking action**
### **Why this is paid (€9.99)**
The fee is not about exclusivity for its own sake.
It’s about **commitment and quality**.
Free meetups often lead to:
* last-minute no-shows
* people who just want to “see what it’s about”
* shallow networking without contribution
The small fee ensures:
* people show up intentionally
* everyone respects the space and each other
* the room stays focused and valuable
You’re not paying for access.
You’re paying for a **high-quality room and high-quality people**.
We have a presale https://buy.stripe.com/9B600ifW41lPbz43Re9R606 you can save 25% by getting your ticket before the event.
### **Who this is for**
✔ Professionals, founders, freelancers
✔ People actively working on something
✔ Those who prefer **investing time** over spending it
### **Curation & Selection**
To protect the group’s quality, **attendance is curated**.
I personally review applications.
**Quality over quantity — always.**

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for April is "Water"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
Arthouse Friday: THE DRAMA at the Drexel Theatre!
Join us as we get together for an Arthouse Movie Friday event to see the A24 dark comedy /romance / psychological-thriller, THE DRAMA! The film stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as a happily engaged couple whose relationship is challenged when one discovers unsettling truths about the other. Here are details, a trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: The film follows a happily engaged couple whose relationship is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails. The film comes from A24, is written/directed by Kristoffer Borgli stars Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Hailey Gates and Zoë Winters.
ZENDAYA-PATTINSON TRIFECTA CHALLENGE: Robert Pattinson and Zendaya will star in THREE movies together this year, including THE DRAMA, Christopher Nolan’s THE ODYSSEY this Summer and Denis Villeneuve’s DUNE: PART THREE at Christmas!
TRAILER: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zmKcUa4Xxk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zmKcUa4Xxk)
BUZZ & REVIEWS: Overall some solid early reviews but this one seems to be a bit polarizing! We’ll have to see for ourselves. Those in the “loved it” camp say is not the rom-com the trailers would have you to believe! Instead, a twisty darkly comedic drama that’s “anchored by two compelling performances,” “an original idea, great cast, and a movie that’s gonna have people talking at the end of it!”
PLAN: A slightly later showtime so we’ll go with dinner before the show this time. Here’s the plan: For dinner before the movie, meet at nearby BRASSICA between 5:45 and 6:00pm. Go through the line, and we’ll try to snag as many of the high-top tables as we can. For the movie, please purchase your ticket for the 7:30pm showing and we’ll meet in the lobby area between 7:00 and 7:15pm. I’ll be with the dinner group and will try to get there as close to 7pm as possible. Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater. When you purchase yours at counter, be sure to mention you’re with the Movie Group for admission and concession discounts.
Take care and look forward to seeing you there, Dan
Risky Business
...and speaking of breakthrough roles: who can forget the first time we saw Tom Cruise singing Bob Seeger in his underwear? Often considered an updated 1983 version of The Graduate, the movie sparkles with memorable lines and original music. I only regret that I was never told that "Princeton could use someone like Bob..."
See the movie first and join us for some "Cruisin'"
Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
**Connected Westerville Night of Networking** *April Edition: The Introduction Economy*
You've been to the networking events. You've done the small talk. Collected the cards. Forgotten the names. And walked out feeling like you just wasted two hours of your life.
The problem isn't you. It's the format.
Most networking events put you in a room and tell you to figure it out. So everyone defaults to elevator pitches and business talk, and nothing real gets built.
Here's the truth about networking that most people miss: Your network isn't just who you know. It's who thinks of you when they're talking to someone else.
*That's* The Introduction Economy. And it only works when relationships are real.
There's a reason people who come once keep coming back. It starts with seven minutes that feel nothing like networking.
Then we open it up. Free networking. More conversations. More momentum.
This is a room full of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and career builders in the Westerville and Columbus area. The mix is the magic.
You might never do business with everyone you meet tonight. But someone in this room will think of *you.* **By name**. So, the next time someone needs exactly what you do, you get the recommendation.
**April 14th. RSVP now.**
**When:** Tuesday\, April 14th \| 6:15 PM \-\- 8:00 PM **Where:** Vineyard Community Center \| 6000 Cooper Rd\, Westerville\, OH 43081

Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces.
PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details:
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1
week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to all of YOU for volunteering at this (and any of our previous) CMG Gives Back events!
Should be a good/fun/meaningful time together, Dan
