Come and join us for an evening of Buddhist meditation with like-minded people. The doors open at 7:00 PM, and meditation begins promptly at 7:15 PM. The meditation will last between 30 to 40 minutes, followed by tea and biscuits for anyone who would like to stay and chat. On some evenings, there will also be a short Dharma talk to provide some Buddhist context. The meditation space is down at the canal. To get there, you can take the stairs down. After gaining confidence in deep water, swimmers continue their journey with training to build their skill and stamina in the four basic strokes. We start with 100 metres front and back stroke and 12 metres front and back crawl. Students also practice underwater swimming for 3 metres, which is another essential water safety skill. As you progress, obtaining the ‘A’ diploma is a great way to measure the improvement in your swimming skills, strength and fitness.
