By default, AI generates very complex code that is not reusable, and it lacks design integrity. The cost of ownership of this code could exceed by multiples the cost of human-generated code. Instead of gains, developers experience strains trying to understand what the AI has generated. Companies now transition from AI euphoria to AI spaghetti. Throttling back token spending does not address the underlying complexity. In this dense session Juval explains what AI is doing wrong, and what businesses are doing wrong trying to leverage AI. Juval will then discuss the crucial role of the architect in unleashing the productivity gains of AI, using the best practices of software engineering. Roles are shifting, tools are evolving, expectations are rising, and many people are asking what their skills will be worth in the future.»* **This evening is not a classic Last Thursday Talk.** UX Schweiz and Syndicom invite the community to **a workshop and open exchange** for people working in UX, design, research, strategy, communication and related creative fields. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure.
