Join us for a cosy and playful afternoon at Zoku, in a light-filled rooftop space with views over the city. We’ll be crafting crepe paper poppies — playful, hands-on, and easier than you think. It’s the kind of activity that pulls you in before you realise it. Expect good energy, new connections, a bit of laughter, and the kind of creative flow that makes time pass quickly. Take home your paper poppies and the feeling of a well-spent afternoon. **Les Amis** is a women-only community of friendly souls. Measuring Greenness, today & tomorrow
Measuring Greenness, today & tomorrow
Hello all! To kickstart our Meetup group here I suggest to have a morning meet&greet for those of us available. I would like to invite you to our office in Bredgade, Copenhagen, and spend 20 minutes on our approach to measuring software greenness and introduce a research project we are part of, led by Aalborg University and Roskilde University: [GREENSQL](https://vbn.aau.dk/en/projects/green-digitalization-starts-in-the-database/). If you find this interesting, I will work on having the researchers come by our Meetup and give a status on current progress. That leaves about 40 minutes for discussion and general networking. If we have a lot of attendees (fingers crossed) I may have to change the location - please suggest alternative locations if you have one. All the best, Rasmus

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
In April, we'll read [Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60869516-into-the-wild) Synopsis: **Krakauer’s page-turning bestseller explores a famed missing person mystery while unraveling the larger riddles it holds: the profound pull of the American wilderness on our imagination; the allure of high-risk activities to young men of a certain cast of mind; the complex, charged bond between fathers and sons.** **"Terrifying... Eloquent... A heart-rending drama of human yearning." —New York Times** In April 1992 a young man from a well-to-do family hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley. He had given $25,000 in savings to charity, abandoned his car and most of his possessions, burned all the cash in his wallet, and invented a new life for himself. Four months later, his decomposed body was found by a moose hunter. How Christopher Johnson McCandless came to die is the unforgettable story of Into the Wild. Immediately after graduating from college in 1991, McCandless had roamed through the West and Southwest on a vision quest like those made by his heroes Jack London and John Muir. In the Mojave Desert he abandoned his car, stripped it of its license plates, and burned all of his cash. He would give himself a new name, Alexander Supertramp, and, unencumbered by money and belongings, he would be free to wallow in the raw, unfiltered experiences that nature presented. Craving a blank spot on the map, McCandless simply threw the maps away. Leaving behind his desperate parents and sister, he vanished into the wild. Jon Krakauer constructs a clarifying prism through which he reassembles the disquieting facts of McCandless's short life. Admitting an interst that borders on obsession, he searches for the clues to the drives and desires that propelled McCandless. When McCandless's innocent mistakes turn out to be irreversible and fatal, he becomes the stuff of tabloid headlines and is dismissed for his naiveté, pretensions, and hubris. He is said to have had a death wish but wanting to die is a very different thing from being compelled to look over the edge. Krakauer brings McCandless's uncompromising pilgrimage out of the shadows, and the peril, adversity, and renunciation sought by this enigmatic young man are illuminated with a rare understanding--and not an ounce of sentimentality. Mesmerizing, heartbreaking, Into the Wild is a tour de force. The power and luminosity of Jon Krakauer's stoytelling blaze through every page.

This session sits exactly in that tension. We’ll take a real Figma design and use Cursor to turn it into a working website - not as a demo, but as a hands-on session where you’ll work through it yourself. Where it’s smooth, you’ll feel it. Where it’s messy, you’ll understand why. ## You'll need: • A laptop (fully charged) • Cursor installed • A Cursor account (free/hobby is fine) • A Figma account (free is fine) *If you arrive without setup, you won’t get much out of the session.* ## **Light Pre-Work:** **👉 There will be light pre-work shared ahead of time with everyone registered in Luma - keep an eye on your e-mail closer to the workshop.** Find all information here: [https://luma.com/ph7xqr4m](https://luma.com/ph7xqr4m) ## **About the speaker** > Justin Waugh (he/him) loves good UX and doesn't like to give in easily. When he's not running front-end & UX workshops, he leads development and design teams as a UX Strategist within the UN or writes about good UX. With over 30 years of hybrid design/developer experience, he's always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and human behaviour. With an MA from Hyper Island under his belt, Justin specializes in user-centric design, effective IT leadership, and innovative UX strategies and has a sharpened sense of how to think about users, systems, and the subtle art of making technology feel human. > In sessions, Justin brings his trademark mix of practical insight and creative curiosity. Expect an honest look at what makes interfaces work and why they often don’t. His sessions are known for being hands-on, combining design thinking with real-world technical grounding. **Host:** l x l - learning experience lab **Co-Host:** IxDF - Interaction Design Foundation, Copenhagen **Location:** Station, Howitzvej 30, 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark 🎟 **Places are limited. CPH Collage - 88
CPH Collage - 88
Artwork by one of the most Iconic Female Collage Artist Martha Rosler - Her work is still current today https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Rosler The meetup lasts 2 full hours with optional overtime Before starting, you can find our table and leave your things so Lou can grab a drink at the café. Once we are all seated, we introduce ourselves and start cutting and pasting.
 • 1s hour- the first round of collage is called freestyle to help us warm up. No restrictions, start finding images to cut out and paste.
 • 2nd hour - for the second round, someone proposes some simple "trigger instructions".
In the end, we show our collages and appreciate the diversity of styles.
 • After the session, we have the option to extend it a bit to get a drink or some food we can bring or order food so we can hang out a bit more. (Mellemrummet is very relaxing regarding bringing your own food from home or other venues; there is a poke place right in front.) Everyone is free to do fewer or more collages as wished, the triggers and frameworks are only a reference. We dedicate some time to appreciating techniques, shapes, colours, and textures to learn and get inspired by each other. Alongside, we chat and relax.
These sessions are not a class but rather a community gathering. We try to nurture a friendly atmosphere and take care of each other. --
Logistics:
• Bring your tools - paper, scrapbook, scissors, cutter, glue, tape, magazines, books, etc. Have it at your side on the day.
• Buy your favourite drink and introduce yourself to the rest of the people, we are kind of an international mix of all ages
