Talk 1: Day to Day AI - AI, Agile and Productivity

Description:
Scaling an AI-powered application from 50 MVP users to 50,000 for a high-stakes go-live is a daunting challenge—especially when you only have one shot to get it right. In this talk, we’ll share our firsthand experience navigating the technical, operational, and security hurdles of scaling under pressure
Topics:
Scaling the Application: handling a 1,000x increase in users—from architecture and performance to real-time monitoring and optimization.
DevOps:
How we automated, tested, and deployed at scale while minimizing risk and ensuring reliability.
Security:
Security for AI application developed with AI tools.

Talk 3: Production Ready AI: Your Client Wants AI, Now What?
Description:
Every client is asking for AI now, but what do you actually do when that first request lands? This talk walks through a real project where a client asked for "automated data entry" and what we actually built: an AI pipeline that turns product images into structured listings using vision models. I'll cover how to scope AI work, what went right, what didn't (the 90% to 100% accuracy trap), and why designing for human in the loop beats promising full automation. Practical advice for web devs taking on their first AI project.
About Samuel Ng
Co-Founder of POPBO Net, a Hong Kong IT consultancy. 15 years building web and ecommerce products, now focused on running hands on AI enablement workshops and building AI agents that automate real business workflows.

BYOBook: non-fiction books presentations and discussion
This is a regular Bring-Your-Own-Book session, where participants share and present to the group non-fiction books they have read.
New members are welcome to attend to listen to and discuss the presentations of others.
Usually a meeting takes around 2.5-3 hours. During this time we discuss 2 different books, roughly 1 hour per book.
Any non-fiction material: a book, documentary, or lecture or a part of it - anything with a title and an author and that contains some coherent ideas. Each presentation includes a summary of a book (15-40 min) and discussion (accordingly).
The meeting will be either in a park or in a coffee shop, on HK side. The exact place to be confirmed with the attendees **by WhatsApp only**. I will / have sent the link to the WhatsApp group, please use the link.
Introvert friendly.
We have people from different countries, so while books can be in any language, the language of the meeting is English.
There is a fee of 20 HKD for the first timers to help funding the Meetup membership needed to run the group.
Do not hit "Attend" if you are not going to attend.
If you RSVPed, but there is anything preventing you from going to the meeting, remember to tell the host as soon as possible and/or update the RSVP - before the RSVP is closed, to give other people a chance to take your spot.
But if you plan to attend, do hit "Attend", please :)))
No-shows are all silently noted with much disapproval and will be removed from the group.

**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.

Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
**Connected Westerville Night of Networking** *April Edition: The Introduction Economy*
You've been to the networking events. You've done the small talk. Collected the cards. Forgotten the names. And walked out feeling like you just wasted two hours of your life.
The problem isn't you. It's the format.
Most networking events put you in a room and tell you to figure it out. So everyone defaults to elevator pitches and business talk, and nothing real gets built.
Here's the truth about networking that most people miss: Your network isn't just who you know. It's who thinks of you when they're talking to someone else.
*That's* The Introduction Economy. And it only works when relationships are real.
There's a reason people who come once keep coming back. It starts with seven minutes that feel nothing like networking.
Then we open it up. Free networking. More conversations. More momentum.
This is a room full of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and career builders in the Westerville and Columbus area. The mix is the magic.
You might never do business with everyone you meet tonight. But someone in this room will think of *you.* **By name**. So, the next time someone needs exactly what you do, you get the recommendation.
**April 14th. RSVP now.**
**When:** Tuesday\, April 14th \| 6:15 PM \-\- 8:00 PM **Where:** Vineyard Community Center \| 6000 Cooper Rd\, Westerville\, OH 43081
