Prague PostgreSQL Meetup: February Edition
Prague PostgreSQL Meetup: February Edition
Czech Co-Learning Session 🇨🇿
Czech Co-Learning Session 🇨🇿
Learning Czech can be hard and demotivating, especially when studying alone. **This meetup is a shared study session where we come together to stay focused, motivated, and make progress — each in our own way.** This is a co-learning / co-studying session, not a class. There is no teacher, no lesson, and no study material provided. Everyone comes with their own resources and studies independently, in a shared environment. **How it works** • We all bring our own material: • textbooks • homework from a Czech course • Duolingo or other apps • reading practice • vocabulary review, etc. • We mainly work individually • We are free to: • ask questions • help each other • share tips and resources • No teacher, no formal structure, no pressure **Who is it for?** • Czech learners of all levels • Non-Czech speakers (expats, internationals) • Czech native speakers are welcome if they want to help, but this is not a language exchange ⏱ **Practical info** • Location: Cafedu 12, Škrétova 490, 120 00 Praha 2 (Metro A and C, Muzeum station) • Duration: 2 hours, or less or more, as you want • Day & time: Monday, 18:00 • Group size: small group for now • Free event — please support the café by ordering a drink ☕ If you’re learning Czech and lack motivation when studying alone, come join us — let’s find it together
Spanish Conversations for Beginners and Intermediates
Spanish Conversations for Beginners and Intermediates
Are you learning Spanish and feel that you need more conversation but are shy to speak? Here you will meet beginners and intermediate and we all will make mistakes in our Spanish communication so it will be just fun! Simply come and enjoy your conversation with the friendly broken Spanish talking group! Sometimes we will meet in some cozy cafĂŠ, sometimes we may go for a walk or some Spanish culture related event. For half of the Spanish here I used translator so if some of the Spanish words above sound weird to you, feel free to blame Google Translate :)

Reproducible dependency management in C++
Reproducible dependency management in C++
Reproducible dependency management in C++ without sacrificing development velocity by [Alex Vilchanski](https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-vilchanski-5a3083279/) Ever went back in your project in git history and painstakingly guessed, which versions of the five internally developed dependencies should you even check out to make it compile? Managing dependencies in C++ is still not trivial, especially if you want to build your product with both internal (company) and external dependencies and your goal is to enable fearless dependency management by the not-so-experienced team members. Oh, and you work in an industry that requires you to be able to make patches to old software in reasonable time. Or you just want to bisect that nasty bug, and oh, it's not a monorepo or a super-build project where one can just check out a single revision. Well, I may have something useful for you: a combination of CPM and Conan that should cover most of the teams' needs that usually arise when starting greenfield projects or ecosystems, which is currently the case for me at work. As you've probably heard, many problems are "people" problems, and therefore the presented ideas require fine-tuning and adjustment for your use-case. Since dependency management is an everlasting issue (especially in C++), I also hope to inspire some further discussion in the room and as it often happens, perhaps the audience can suggest further improvements.
FrontEnd Meetup in Ataccama - February
FrontEnd Meetup in Ataccama - February
**The Prague FrontEnd Meetup is back in 2026!** Join us on **the last** **Wednesday in February, 25th, at 5:00 PM** in the **Ataccama offices in Karlín** for another evening full of inspiration, great talks, and friendly networking. ✨ The lineup: Tomas Belada will be talking about OpenCode - a great open source AI agent. But the real power shows up once you sprinkle a bit of Greek mythology on top. In this talk, I’ll demo a plugin that turns OpenCode into a superpower, an end-to-end coding workflow. Pavel Kepka is experimenting with how the technology stack affects the LLMs - Pavel designed an experiment to evaluate the LLM's architecture decision based on the required technology stack. He'll share his findings and learnings with us at the upcoming Ataccama Meetup. Michal Kopecky will be talking about his MCP-FE library. Michal's annotation says this: Most AI agents are "blind" to your application's internal logic, often relying on messy DOM scraping or raw HTML snapshots. In this talk, I will demonstrate how to bridge React and LLMs natively using the Model Context Protocol. We’ll explore how to give agents direct access to clean component state—such as data grids, active filters, and selections—and enable them to execute actions within the browser. Join me to see how we can transform a simple chatbot into a truly context-aware co-pilot. As always, expect: Snacks & drinks Friendly community vibes Space to learn, share, and connect **RSVP here to save your spot**

137. [pro:]TEST! B. Foglová, T. Topol - AI fuckupy očima QA - Real story
**Anotace přednášky:** Naše povídání „AI Fuckupy očima QA“ mapuje cestu od prvotního nadšení z no-code nástrojů a N8N až po tvrdý náraz do reality. Ukážeme vám, co se stane, když se manažerské sny o rychlých úsporách potkají s technickými limity. Zjistili jsme (často draze), že Data Science není Full Stack a že i takzvaný „Judge Agent“ si umí vymýšlet stejně kreativně jako každý jiný agent pracující s daty. Prošli jsme si peklem okolo ROI, bezpečnosti i AI Actu, abychom nakonec našli funkční systém.
Ackee Meets: Mobile Development (iOS & Android)
Ackee Meets: Mobile Development (iOS & Android)
Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit - Barret Blake
Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit - Barret Blake
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** *Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit: From Intent to Implementation* Spec-driven development flips the traditional workflow on its head: instead of code being the source of truth, the specification becomes the backbone of design, collaboration, and delivery. In this session, we’ll explore how GitHub Spec-Kit enables teams to treat specifications as first-class artifacts—living documents that drive architecture, implementation, and verification. You’ll learn how Spec-Kit helps teams clearly express intent using structured, version-controlled specs that live alongside code. We’ll walk through a practical workflow that starts with defining system behavior and constraints, then progressively refines those specs into testable, automatable outcomes. Along the way, we’ll show how specs can reduce ambiguity, improve cross-functional collaboration, and make design decisions explicit before a single line of production code is written. This talk will cover: --What spec-driven development is (and what it isn’t) --How GitHub Spec-Kit fits into modern developer workflows --Using specs to align product, engineering, and AI-assisted development --Real-world examples of turning specs into implementations with confidence Whether you’re building greenfield systems, integrating AI into your stack, or trying to reduce costly rework, spec-driven development offers a scalable way to move faster without sacrificing clarity. Attendees will leave with concrete patterns and a clear mental model for adopting GitHub Spec-Kit in their own projects. **YouTube Link** TBA
