For our June meet-up, we will be welcoming Rik Hepworth, who will be delivering a talk on Azure Virtual Networks for developers Cloud was supposed to save us, but those dastardly networks followed us there! So many projects in the cloud now demand that we keep our traffic within the corporate network. But what does that mean for our applications, and how much do we need to understand as developers? Can’t we just leave it to the networking team? Let’s run through the fundamentals: stuff like DNS and address spaces, that are easy to mess up if you’re not paying attention. Let’s examine what’s meant by ‘hub and spoke’ or ‘split horizon DNS’. From Clontarf Rd cross over "The Wooden Bridge" and keep going on until the end, turn left when you see the beach car park and keep going to the left. We will set the nets beside the car park 😉 Please avoid to park at the beach because the car can get stuck on the sand. If you come by car park as soon as you find space and then walk. The idea is to have lunch at the beach and play beach volleyball.
