Connect with others, exchange ideas, and gain insights you can register right away - don’t miss out!
Agenda:
* **18:30 "Eventual Consistency: The Troublesome Trade-Off Behind Distributed Systems"** **by Andrius Ragelis**
"No matter the architecture, data can become stale - and sometimes lead to costly issues.
Fast, available, distributed - and occasionally wrong (for a moment).
Let’s explore why these inconsistencies happen, how they manifest in real systems, and how to design around them effectively."
* **19:10** "**From Hype to a Workflow: Integrating AI into the Everyday Work of Development**" **by Vidmantas Varnas**
"Artificial Intelligence is becoming a core part of modern software development, yet many teams still lack practical ways to use it day to day. The key is finding where it truly adds value. From code and documentation to planning, debugging, and knowledge sharing-along with the common challenges and pitfalls."
* **20:00 Bytes & Bites**
The opportunity to become a student or a lecturer in disguise as you mingle, snack and connect with fellow tech enthusiasts is all yours. Don't worry about grades - here, laughter and nods are the ultimate measures of success!

*Customize the IDE: Building Extensions for Visual Studio Code*
Visual Studio Code is one of the most widely used development environments today, and much of its flexibility comes from its extension ecosystem. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs.
In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling.
The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options.
