Our free-of-charge meet-up in the Black Sheep Pub on Capel Street. This is a casual meet up for people who want to play boardgames. Lots of people bring plenty of games and rules will always be explained so don't worry if you're new to the hobby and you don't have anything to bring along or think you won't know how to play. The meet-up runs for the whole day but late comers always welcome, you just may have to wait a little for a game to open up but games will be starting and ending throughout the day. **IMPORTANT!** **The meet up is free of charge but we do ask that people support the bar by buying food and/or drink. The bar is very accommodating to us and it's important that we support them in return. Jugger is a fast paced but easy to pick up sport that is great for beginners. Its like a combination of tag rugby and fencing and is a great way to meet new people and then hit them with a padded stick. Its light contact and the only gear you need to bring is clothing you are comfortable running around in and some water.

Total distance 80km. 🚴‍♀️Mostly flat, but with a couple of steep climbs, notably the climb from the coast up to Ardgillian House. Join us for a cycle to the lovely fishing village o**f Skerries** with its coastal views right up to the Mourne mountains, and on to **Ardgillian Castle**, an 18th-century mansion nearby. On the way, we stop briefly to view **lusk round tower** built in the 10th century, and it's adjoining belfry, built four hundred years later. Here is our plan for the day. 1️⃣We meet at 845 am at the seafront on Clontarf Road at the sails sculpture 2️⃣ We cycle out through Malahide then Lusk mostly quiet backroads to Skerries, and on to Ardgillian House 3️⃣Coffee stop at the fishing harbour in Sherries, or Ardgillian House 4️⃣ Then it is back through man o war, swords, and Malahide. Please wear a helmet and bring a tube, etc in case you get a puncture. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
