Welcome to My Kind of Meeples. Feel free to RSVP and come along for some board gaming delights. We are moving back into our spiritual home of The Sun Of Camberwell! After a few weeks sofa surfing at another venue we are back at The Sun Of Camberwell. Please arrive from 6.30pm for chit chat and getting to know each other. If you are new, please introduce yourself to one of the hosts and they will look after you. At 7pm we start our first game of picking games for the night. Those who have brought games along offer up what they have, with a brief introduction and an idea of difficulty level. People are then free to join any game that they like, and we will make sure everybody has a game to play. If it's a game you do not know, it will always be taught beforehand or there will be a quick refresher if you have played it before. We play a lot of different sorts of games which last between 1 to 3 hours. We have a variety of games happening at once, and usually have at least one beginner-friendly game and one more advanced game running on any evening. The evening normally lasts until closing time (approx 11pm) and depending on the game you play, you might get more than one game a night. We do ask that, if you are able to, please purchase from the bar as the pub kindly accommodates us, so we like to give back. We look forward to having you at our group.

Hi everyone! (pre-pandemic information) If you like to play modern board, card and dice games, and to meet new people, then join us every Wednesday evening, for as long as you like between the hours of 6pm and 11pm (when the pub closes). Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't as there are plenty that live at the pub, and plenty more that regular members bring along. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can come along any time before closing (11pm), so if you don't arrive at 7pm (when attendees trickle in), don't worry! Everyone comes and goes whenever they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or last to leave. Please write in the comments what time you expect to arrive at the pub, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. We are a relaxed and friendly group, made up of both natives and foreigners, of locals and those living further afield, happy to welcome newbies and regulars. Events are free to attend, but it is respectable to the public venues we hold them at if you can buy at least one drink or some food while you are present. Whether you’re old or new to the club, we would love to have you join us! We are situated in the main bar area and have tables suitable for games taking 4-6 players. We encourage you to discuss any games you would like to play, or will be bringing in the chat. Please note we do not have a stock of games. We rely on members bringing their own games. 
Parking is available on some nearby streets. There is also some limited parking outside the venue. 
Attending members will be asked to pay £1 per Meetup (card/contactless only) to the club organisers. The fee helps pay for our Meetup subscription and venue memberships.

We'll be meeting to play games. Invitation open to all members and drop ins. No need to bring your own games as there are always options from other members but please do so if there's something you're interested in playing. Some longer games we've played recently include Eclipse, Dungeon Lord, Hansa Teutonica, Star Wars: Outer Rim and Inis. But we've also played medium/light games like Heat, Flamme Rouge, Fallout and Ride the Rails. Plus some short card games like Lords of Scotland and Skull King. Most people generally arrive by about 7:30. You can park at the pub for free if you validate at the bar and there may also be space on nearby streets. Join OverBoard to play the brilliant social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower in person at the incredible board game cafe Otter Chaos in Brixton. This session will be geared towards players that have more experience with the game (to give the opportunity to play more advanced scripts) but we will always find ways to accommodate you if you are new to the game. Please note that a gaming cover charge of \~£5 will be payable by each attendee to the venue so that we can make use of the space. We also encourage you to buy food and drink from the bar so we are supporting the business (I can highly recommend their pizzas!) ######## NEW LOCATION ####### We are going to be at The Forge on Bethel Rd this week and until further notice! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy.
