Being in Intimacy and the Unknown: Circling Closed Group (6 weeks)
Being in Intimacy and the Unknown: Circling Closed Group (6 weeks)
When we slow down and bring our attention to the present moment and try to stay curious about what’s actually happening, so much begins to reveal itself. Things that usually go unnoticed come into awareness - whether that’s sensation, impulse, feeling, thought, image, or desire. In a recent circle, a participant described the practice as “intimate”, and that feels true for me also. It invites moving closer to and revealing one’s inner world - first to ourselves and then to others if we choose to. Circling is a practice I know well, through many years of practising and leading groups, as well as through my one-to-one NARM work with clients which underpins my practice. I want to support people coming together to practice Circling, being with ourselves and others in what’s actually happening, meeting ourselves and each other where we already are and building capacity to be with and respond to whatever happens next, the unknown… Inspired by being in intimacy and the unknown I'm offering a closed group starting in the new year and I’d love for you to join. A closed container where we journey together over 6 weeks, allowing for more trust and depth to unfold between us. Wednesday evening for 6 weeks 9th March to 13th April, £195. Please book through eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/robyn-wilford-29457876735 If you have any questions please email me: robyncontact365@gmail.com There is a beauty and power in the practice of circling and it is not for everyone. The practice may touch on some uncomfortable places, states, sensations or emotions. Circling invites a level of self responsibility and a willingness to set appropriate boundaries. Rather than a safe space think brave space, where we inquire and explore connection together. More about Circling and Terms of Service: Circling is a practice that involves looking at and being intimate with the structures of one’s personal reality, which includes how we make sense of experience, individually and collectively. We find these practices to consistently deliver deeply meaningful experiences, and believe a few clarifications now will likely make this more accessible to you. Because Circling is unique, carrying over assumptions from other practices can lead to misunderstandings about who we are, what we do, and how you are invited to engage. It is our intention to make it as clear as we can what Circling is and isn’t. Responsibility We see you as a free agent capable of honest self-assessment and responsible choice This is an invitation to take responsibility for: \- yourself and your experience \- choices you’re making about what you’re accepting as true and significant \- how you’re participating in and helping to sustain your situation \- the beliefs and choices you’re bringing to the situation \(wittingly or unwittingly\) that are informing your experience\. We refer generally to the willingness to take responsibility in these terms as “owning your experience.” Not Psychotherapy Circling as we practice it leads to transformational growth, but we do this through surrender, self-leadership, and interconnection rather than aiming for healing outcomes directly (like many modalities do). While honouring a wide variety of wisdom and psychological discernments from many schools of thought, we do not follow a therapeutic model of diagnosis and treatment. Our method is educational. Our emphasis is connection. We are guides in a journey of presence, connection, and aliveness. We do not prescribe choices or actions. We do not see you as being in a therapeutic relationship with me. We work in the present moment, assuming wholeness that can include greater wholeness, exploring connection, staying mindful to notice the cost of reality choices and labels that too easily lead to misunderstanding or pathologizing. We bring a fresh set of eyes to what is happening, with the aim of understanding how updating our beliefs about what is happening can update our reality. Circling is a practice of connection and meditation \- Focus on the present moment\. \- Maintain a non\-goal orientation that is encapsulated in the principle of “being with the other in their world\." Is this Right for You? Our workshops can be intense. People encounter places, states, emotions, beliefs, and sensations in themselves and others that are sometimes unfamiliar. We explore the unknown, the volatile, the ambiguous, as well as welcome emotions many deem as “negative” or “inappropriate” such as feelings of inadequacy, anger, sexuality, and joy. We refer to the willingness to feel difficult and uncomfortable truths as the “commitment to connection,” which of course includes a willingness to set appropriate boundaries, and speak a desire for space, distance, and non-contact. By attending our events you take responsibility for choosing to leave the practice or participate in any given moment—which might include getting intimate with these kinds of experiences. We will often explore multiple sides of seeming opposites at once, such as independence and interdependence, chaos and order, agreement and disagreement. We believe this can reveal an underlying unity of the immediacy of experience. If the above description of our workshops sounds potentially overwhelming or destabilizing for you, if you have mental illness or significant emotional challenges that you feel may be exacerbated by this type of transformational environment, or if you are not sure that you can be self-directed in taking care of your needs during the event, then we advise you not to enrol. By registering you acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by these Terms of Service.
Monday Evening Chanting Circle - with Gayatri in Elephant & Castle
Monday Evening Chanting Circle - with Gayatri in Elephant & Castle
**Monday Evening Chanting Circle \| 6:30–8:00pm** Start the week by unwinding your body and mind through voice and sound. This weekly chanting class is a relaxed, welcoming space to come together after work and reset through simple, shared vocal practice. We use a mix of: * Sanskrit mantras * Rainbow songs * Shamanic chants * Gentle voicework Chanting is a form of meditation that works through rhythm, breath, and repetition. You don’t need any musical experience and you don’t need to sing “well.” The voice is used as a natural tool for grounding and release, not performance. Practising regularly can help: * Settle the nervous system after a busy day * Quiet mental over-activity * Release tension held in the body * Improve breathing and vocal ease Chanting in a group makes the practice easier and more enjoyable. The shared sound helps people relax more quickly and feel supported, even if they’re new to using their voice. Over time, regular group chanting can build a sense of stability, clarity, and connection. Each session includes time to arrive, chant together, and rest in stillness at the end, so you leave feeling calmer and more centred than when you arrived. Come as you are. No experience needed. === FOR THE BEST PRICE GO TO https://www.tickettailor.com/events/rebirthandawaken CASH on the night - please message Gayatri 07505014729 to reserve place. Note that if you can't come that you need to send a text message 24 hrs in advance or payment will still need to be made Om Shanti, Gayatri
Silencing Separation
Silencing Separation
Spirit has called for a Magical Activism Land Tantra field and silent prayer to assist the transition of one of the deepest roots of our collective separation consciousness. This online, by donation field is a prayer and service offering to reach our Mother Gaia, our collective ascension and our bodies. For 8 days we will hold continuous silence, by taking turns to listen to the silence and transmit this energy into the field. This particular scar tissue of separation cannot be healed; rather, our holding of the great silence, causes it to dissolve back into the periodic womb energy. This is the wound that causes us to be deaf in hearing our true selves, and means others can command us. It is the wound where the light is cut from, entering the body and deeply disrupting the flow of potential. As the astrological wheel turns towards the fire horse, the guides say this is best moment to dissolve the root layer of separation from our bodies. The field is already shining with pure light and waiting for our silence. This ends, like all things end… in silence. Those called will be asked to hold a silent prayer for 1 hour 11 mins per day, at the same time, over 8 eight days. You will be given guidance on how to do this easily and beautifully. If we get 24 slots booked, we will open up double slots and, if we don’t fill them, the guides say it is possible to do the ceremony in fewer days, but this is by far the most potent and effective way to do this ceremony. Every day of this process there will be live teachings, light chambers, or transmissions from the guides that ensure this service work is fully received and encoded into you personally, so that the lost voice of the self is replaced with the golden sound merging into the deep peace of the body. This field will clear Akashic, energetic, emotional and ancestral tissues of separation, not through a big emotional process, but through the volume of presence that we send into the past, into our bodies and into Her-Story. The emptiness of unspeakable separation layers we carry are ready to be received into the Eternal Vastness; they are ready to be soothed into the silence of the womb. Whilst the layer we are called to hold space for is intense, our role is to stay with the glory of the silence that is interconnected, rather than separated, so it is actually a profoundly beautiful practise and experience. You will be holding this hug of a field around the land ceremonies that are happening in Sinai and be given instructions on how you can be in ceremony with your own lands. The daily live sessions that will include channeled teachings, techniques, light chambers, new Earth codes and community are optional. If you can’t make them, you will still be infused with the blessing of the oneness field our silent prayer creates. Being able to hold the silence every day is essential, this is your commitment to the process, so please make sure you are able to commit to this very important service… Do not worry if you do not know how, the guides say that in this field your intention, plus what they teach, will make it possible. Silencing Separation - a collective liberation is by donation. Donate whatever feels right in your heart once the process ends. So much endless quiet love to you all, Kahreela x JOIN: [https://www.starlight-temple.com/event-details/silencing-separation](https://www.starlight-temple.com/event-details/silencing-separation)

LondonJamSessions x TAM MIC DROP (20 Second Chain) #33
LondonJamSessions x TAM MIC DROP (20 Second Chain) #33
I am proud to announce that we having our jam at the Temple Of Art & Music in Elephant & Castle!! 20 Second Chain: A structured improvisation format where a musical “chain” unfolds organically, with each player responding to and building on what came before. Lineup (on stage together): - 2 guitarists - 1 bass - 1 drummer - 1–2 singers - 1 additional instrument (sax, trumpet, percussion, etc.) How It Works: 1. All musicians on stage are assigned a number, which determines the playing order. 2. Playing order, a key (and available chords) is written on a whiteboard opposite the stage. 3. Number 1 begins alone with a simple idea for 20 seconds — leave space for others to build. 4. Every 20 seconds, the next numbered musician joins one at a time, layering something that complements what’s already happening. 5. Once everyone has entered and the full band is playing, the group improvises for 5 minutes, developing the groove — complexity and solos can grow naturally. 6. No on-stage planning — listen and respond in real time. 7. After the timer ends, the group rotates and a new chain begins. The Temple Of Art and Music is a live music venue and bar in Elephant & Castle so I encourage anyone attending to bring friends as it will be great fun for them even if they are not playing. The venue has a PA system, drum kit, mics and guitar/bass amps. There is no guarantee that there will be cymbals or drum accessories with the drum kit at the venue. Drummers please being your own if you can. Like all our other jams it will be a chance to jam with other musicians playing the music that you love in a gentle environment with no judgement and no pressure. This jam also uniquely gives the opportunity to play in front of a crowd! Tickets are **£10 online** message us let us know what instrument you play and we will confirm if there is space and send you the Eventbrite link for the jam. Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information about this jam and London Jam Sessions. At London Jam Sessions we have an active community on WhatsApp where we all discuss the upcoming jams and future events. Using Philosophy to Cope with Current Events
Using Philosophy to Cope with Current Events
So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels. Hope to see you on March 28th!

Contra dance March 21 (First Unitarian Universalist Church) note new time!
# **Band and caller TBA** Beginner lesson at 1:30, regular dancing begins at 2:00 pm NOTE THAT WE ARE TEMPORARILY DANCING IN THE AFTERNOON INSTEAD OF EVENING. Dance with us in the afternoon then you can still go out in the evening! **Sponsor: All Soles Contra and Square Dancing, First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd., Columbus OH 43214** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 1:30 - 2:00, followed by dancing 2:00 - 430. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot. Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
