FREE ENTRY! The all Electronic Music Open Mic (EMOM) returns to The (legendary) Dublin Castle, 94 Parkway, Camden, London. NW1 7AN Hosted by EMOM Founder Martin Christie. Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month this is an open stage night for London based electronic and experimental musicians. This night is aimed at giving local artists a supportive space in which to play live and experiment, and socialise with like minded people. Seeking all forms of electronic/experimental music including: ambient, soundtrack, dance, techno, noise, electropop, drone, glitch, experimental hip-hop, field recordings, electrojazz, chiptune, looping, synthwave, trance, live coding, sound design, etc. Get out of your home studio or bedroom, and come out to a fun, supportive night with other enthusiastic tech heads, dabblers and music fans. You don’t need to be an established artist with a full repertoire. This is for anyone who wants to try their hand at playing live in a safe, motivating environment. Phone apps, gadgets, drum machines, loop stations, groove boxes, DJ controllers, sequencers, samplers, modular synths, computers, digital boxes, loose change and a contact mic .. and everything in between…All welcome! Come out and meet other music makers, producers and creative types from all walks of music making. There should be plenty of time to talk gear, production techniques and a whole range of inspiring ideas. Event will run from roughly 7pm-11.00pm with wiggle room depending on interest. Slots are up to 15 minutes (including set-up and play). The pre-booked slots (6 in total) have all gone but we do have additional walk-in slots available on the night. First come first served, but we usually get a slot for everyone who wants one. There is a small main stage, full live-music speaker system, and a sound engineer that will handle mixing to the main PA. We will have a table for you to setup on, and another one to the side, for the next performer to prep/wrap their gear. Sorry - no acoustic guitars – unless they are being used to generate soundscapes or some other style of music in keeping with the night (e.g. through pedals, FX units etc.) FREE ENTRY! **Cosmic Souls,** **A very warm welcome to anyone who is considering booking this session.** **I am back in the stunning Beckenham Mansion; a place like no other and a magical location that is loved by so many.** A grand, old building with an adjoining park right around the corner from New Beckenham train station. Bring a friend or two and get ready to be bathed in the healing frequencies of the gong. This session will honour the lunar cycle. We will tune into the power of the Full Moon and focus on bringing healing to past versions of ourselves as we step into a bolder way of being. Our evening together will involve an overview of the full moon and how it may affect you; followed by a guided meditation. Once you are in a state of deep rest, you will be taken on a cosmic gong journey. There will be space at the end for snacks and to draw an oracle card (or two)! All you have to do is turn up with an open heart & mind, chill on your yoga mat and melt into the floor :-) The gong, with its mighty roar and gentle whisper, helps us to tap into our innate wisdom and stillness within. ## IMPORTANT BITS AND BOBS: **ARRIVAL:** **Please arrive 5 minutes before the session begins and avoid being late, as late-comers cannot be admitted. Session will start at 7:00 pm.** There is no reception desk in the mansion and once the session is in flow I can't admit anybody in. Therefore, please be punctual. **WALKING THROUGH THE PARK IN THE EVENING:** The mansion is located in the middle of the park. There are large fairly lights that light up the path leading from the main entrance at Beckenham Hill Road to the mansion. Currently, there aren't any additional streetlamps. If you are driving, you can drive all the way up to the mansion - please close the wooden gate behind you. I will provide the access code in the preparation email, sent before the event takes place. **EQUIPMENT: Please bring your own yoga mats blankets (sleeping bags). Dress extra warm in layers. This is an old Georgian mansion and it can get a bit chilly in the winter months, I can't stress this enough.** Please be punctual, we start at 7 pm sharp. I allow an additional 10 minutes for latecomers but after that, the doors will be closed. ## CONTRAINDICATIONS: Please be advised that by booking your ticket to this event, you are also in agreement that the session is safe for you and that you take full responsibility for your own health & well-being. Tharangini is a musical project led by Jairam Parameswaran. He is a highly qualified classical musision who has led a choir recently in Hong Kong. We are grateful to have him with us every wednesday. He aims to begin a project to run every week through April, May and June, every Wednesday evening. this will run as a fundraiser for the Spirirual work of he International Vedanta Society. please come along for a taster sessions before committing tp attend each week. during these three months we will be focussed on leaning Bhaja Govindam which was written by Adi Sankaracharya.

Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
