Wiccan Apprentice circle is suitable for all Beginners & Seekers of the Spiritual path of Wicca & Witchcraft! Welcome to \`Wiccan Apprentice 2026 - Training & Practice Circles. If you are looking to join a coven, and/ or wish to learn & practice Wicca with other serious Witchy folks, in natural Woodland setting (yes come rain or shine!) then this monthly Circles are just perfect for you! By the time you've completed this training with full attendance, you'll be primed for initiation - if that's what you seek. Of course path to Initiation will require further training, personal developments and magical quests. Some of you may simply wish to learn the foundations of Wicca and move on to explore other magical paths. Each of our 9 sessions will have a teaching part, covering one of the key areas of Wicca (see contents below), and a practical ritual . One may begin the journey as a Witch but must grwo and develop as a Priest / priestess. Even that, after ome years, expands beyond Pagan/ magical communities and encompasses the living World as a whole. Underpinning all these is your own spirituality, your own connections to the divine Gods & Goddesses, and your moralitty, honour and integrity! You must strive to \`Know thyself' and work in accordance with the Gods & Goddesses within, and be guided by them and your genuine intuition in your actions. You must also maintain personal balance of power and grounding, keep your self magically safe from intrusions ..that can threaten to compromise your being. Also know that, you must be always confident and stronger than any forces you are trying to invoke.. maybe not in power but in Will. (If not, they will easily take control of you, your ego, your body and you are no longer \`you' - which goes back to the \`know thyself'!! There are a hundreds of angels, Fairies and Gods to call from. We have no need to call other forces. People are wiser working with transpersonal psychology when integrating their own shadows and projections. Here are some suggestions: * Be prepared for different types of Weather. When we are seated in one spot for long, it gets cold quickly.. So pls Wear warm / water proff clothing & coats; covering legs, ankles as it avoids insect bites in summer; * Bring a small ground sheet & optional cushion or mat to sit on. * Torch light .. essential for walking about the woods in the dark. Better to have a separate torch than the light on mobile phones.. If you **Food/ drinks** —— * bring some food & drinks to share. Vegetarian food is better. (bread, cheese, salads, dips, wine, soft drinks). It's okay if you can't bring any but pls avoid junk food. **Feasting, connecting & Magical thoughts** —- Circle will close after passing blessed Cakes & drink from the Altar. Then depending on time, we can be open for magical chats.. where you may share your experiences of what the ceremony has brought. **Tidying up & leaving no trace** -- We would really appreciate everyone packing their own tools and items , then tidy up the area, picking up rubbish into bags. I am proud to announce that we having our jam at the Temple Of Art & Music in Elephant & Castle!! Chord Flow: A structured improvisation session where players explore a shared chord progression and key, creating music organically in the moment. Lineup (on stage together): • 2 guitarists • 1 bass • 1 drummer • 1–2 singers • 1 additional instrument (sax, trumpet, percussion, etc.) How It Works: 1. A simple chord progression and its key are written on a whiteboard opposite the stage. 2. The group has 5 minutes on stage to explore the progression together. 3. Tempo, time signature, style, and chord changes are left open — the music’s direction is determined by the group. 4. When the timer starts, the music begins. Musicians respond to each other in real time, building the flow organically. 5. No planning or discussion — focus on listening, reacting, and creating a shared musical experience. 6. After 5 minutes, the group rotates and a new set of musicians begin. The Temple Of Art and Music is a live music venue and bar in Elephant & Castle so I encourage anyone attending to bring friends as it will be great fun for them even if they are not playing. The venue has a PA system, drum kit, mics and guitar/bass amps. There is no guarantee that there will be cymbals or drum accessories with the drum kit at the venue. Drummers please being your own if you can. Like all our other jams it will be a chance to jam with other musicians playing the music that you love in a gentle environment with no judgement and no pressure. This jam also uniquely gives the opportunity to play in front of a crowd! Exploring the musical archives with captivation at both a very young age and later as music radio presentator, club DJ & musicologist - I discovered only snippets of an estimated 97 million songs even though I went all the way back to the 17th century! If you love music, then you'll know it's not just entertainment but a spritual soulful experiene ("I hear my compositions as a single point of light, all I do is hold that point of light in my mind whilst I write it down" Wolfgang Mozart) So let's immense ourselves in our passion by enjoying music, singing, dancing with drinks in hand whilst broadening our music knowledge and exposure by discovering new material, artists and even genres at fun musically themed night out for passionate music lovers in the UK home of rock n roll - Camden of course! Contemporary or old - you must be passionate about music which means you will be prepared to talk about your favourite song(s) and or artist(s), influences and underlying reasons at ease. Are the lyrics poetic or a philosophical masterpiece like in some old hip-hop or is it about the sound of the vocals or hypnotic melodies? Did the song (or artist) play a pivotal role in shaping political change & influence in society (yes some musicians have even died for their artform) or the evolution of new music genres, sub cultures and underground music movements today? Was Lennon & McCartney the greatest ever singer song writer combo or have you heard better? Who are the best all time music producers & song writers - Max Martin, Billy Joel, George Martin, Quincy Jones, Bernie Taupin, Dr Dre, Carole King? Did PWL records destroy the British music scene or contribute to it? We can also touch on influential music producers, labels, DJs and radio stations as well. Butler, a highly decorated U.S. Marine raised in a Quaker (pacifist) tradition who later became a prominent critic of American militarism (there is a wonderful biography of Gen. Butler called "Gangsters of Capitalism") Butler's argument in *War Is a Racket* (1935): that many U.S. interventions were driven less by national defense than by corporate and financial interests, with Butler portraying himself as an enforcer for business and Wall Street. We can consider the moral ambiguity of his insider critique—whether complicity strengthens or undermines credibility and also consider some of the concrete reforms he proposed (e.g., “conscript” capital before soldiers, restrict the military to coastal defense, and have only those who fight decide on war). Butler’s life arc clearly changed from pacifist upbringing to warrior to antiwar crusader—and asks whether true understanding of peace requires firsthand knowledge of war, and what that implies about the cost of suffering. So do we need to suffer to understand suffering? Do we have to experience war to appreciate peace? As one more question: in the movie "A Few Good Men" Jack Nicholson's character says that "you have the luxury of not knowing what I know" so do most of us go through life oblivious to real violence and suffering?
