We are hosting **Marc Grabanski** 🤩 - don’t miss it! Join us for an evening of focused tech talks, real-world frontend knowledge, and good people. We’ll hear from experienced engineering leaders on modern web practices, then we’ll go live for an online Q&A with Marc Grabanski. You’ll be able to ask him questions in real time. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate with fellow frontend enthusiasts! This meetup is organized by **[Enpitech](https://enpitech.dev/)**, a frontend-focused team helping startups build reliable, production-grade web products. This special event wouldn't be possible without the generous support of **UVeye**, our gracious hosts. **Agenda:** **18:00** \- Doors open \- Mingling \+ Food **18:30** \- Opening Remarks **18:40** - **Idan Cohen -** Principal Software Architect at UVeye. **Stack-Fluid: Making Backend Feel Like Frontend** As frontenders, we demand visibility and control over our application state. Why accept anything less on the server? If you're sick of diving into the murky backend, this talk is for you. We'll see how Event Sourcing is used to build backend state cleanly, just like in the UI. Learn to expose clear visualization that surfaces process and bugs instantly instead of fishing for logs, and discover the tooling to achieve a developer experience that finally makes infrastructure invisible **19:15 - Gil Fink** \- CEO & Senior Consultant at SparXys **Mastering Task Management in JavaScript** In modern web development, efficient task management is crucial for ensuring smooth user experiences. We’ll discuss how to defer non-urgent tasks, improve responsiveness, and optimize performance by leveraging the browser’s built-in scheduling capabilities. Join us to learn how to elevate your JavaScript performance game and create more responsive web applications. **19:45 -** 15 minutes Break. **20:00 - LIVE! Dec 2025 Node.js Monthly Meetup
## Details 18:00 - Mingling 🎉, SWAG 🎁, pizza 🍕, and beers 🍻 18:30 - 19:45 Lecturers 19:45 - IntelliJ Licenses + Node.TLV 20025 ticket 🎉 (more details in [https://www.nodetlv.com/)](https://www.nodetlv.com/)) ## Full Agenda From: Tal Doron : [Hebrew] **Querying for Evil: Using BigQuery to Find Threats in the SMB realm** This session dives into our practical approach for transforming massive volumes of cloud productivity logs into actionable security intelligence. We'll demonstrate how we leverage Google BigQuery as a highly-scalable data warehouse to store, process, and analyze this data at speed. You'll see how we execute complex, high-performance queries that uncover subtle anomalies, hunt for advanced threats, and provide critical detections to secure our customers. From [Anatol Zakrividoroga](https://www.linkedin.com/in/anatol-zak/overlay/about-this-profile/): [English] **Full-Stack Type Safety Without the Boilerplate: Meet tRPC** Keeping your frontend and backend in sync is hard — especially when API contracts drift, types get out of date, and your IDE stops being helpful. tRPC solves that by letting your backend define procedures that your frontend can call directly, with full TypeScript inference from end to end. In this talk, we’ll explore how tRPC eliminates unnecessary schemas and code generation while still delivering robust, type-safe communication between client and server. You’ll see how to set up a fully type-safe full-stack workflow, catch breaking changes before they hit production, and dramatically reduce the overhead of maintaining APIs. From: [‫Sagi Carmel](https://www.linkedin.com/in/sagicarmel/overlay/about-this-profile/): [Hebrew] **Promise you will learn something new about promises** Most of the time we are using Promises without reeeally understanding it's practical use v.s. what it was before. We will learn in a very interactive lesson the pure basic. Register via Luma -> [https://luma.com/b5bga495](https://luma.com/b5bga495) Kindly be informed that attendance at the meetup is on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Philosophy Group Meeting -- Hebrew
Philosophy Group Meeting -- Hebrew
Join us in the search for the true, the good and the beautiful. Each meet is in one of two formats: a shared reading and open discussion of philosophical texts, or a continuing series of lectures based on the reading of a fascinating book of philosophy. Both formats are in Hebrew, with some reading of English texts, assisted whenever needed. We meet weekly Friday on 80 Rokach Boulevard, Tel Aviv, at the gardens of the Council for a Beautiful Israel. Welcome anyone interested in understanding life more deeply, regardless of age or prior knowledge. The love of wisdom is enough. Please join our WhatsApp group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JeAa2uRNTlF0rdrVTLzUC0?mode=wwt Note: there's always enough sitting room, but some of it is on the grass or a mat on the floor. If you want to guarantee yourself a chair, please bring one with you. Sapere Aude! (Kant's Motto: Dare to Think!)

Contra dance with Big Scioty on Jan 3 - First Congregational Church
Contra dance with Big Scioty on Jan 3 - First Congregational Church
**Caller: Gaye Fifer** **Band: Hot Coffee Breakdown** **Big Scioty Contra Dance** **temporarily returning to our long ago location for Jan-March - First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot. For more information contact me or check out our website: [www.bigscioty.com](http://www.bigscioty.com/) Please bring your own refillable water bottle. Snacks to share are always welcome!

International transplants to Columbus who want to improve language skills, Columbus residents who want to discuss international travel and culture, and anyone who enjoys getting together for good conversations."
Conversacion en español (en persona)
Conversacion en español (en persona)
While some are still meeting online, this is an in person event. Please note that we have attendees of all levels of speaking, including some native speakers. All are welcome! Also, as we meet at the same time and place each week, many don’t RSVP on the app, so we will likely have more attendees than noted here. Note: if you are asked to pay and upgrade the Meetup app, this is not necessary. You can ignore this and still attend our meetings.
COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
COUNT RMH Housewarmer Volunteering (Ronald McDonald House)
Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
