Join the House for it's Litha celebration! We'll gather around 3pm and our ceremony will begin no later than 3:30 to allow for some setup time and folks to arrive, since Rock Creek Park can be a little difficult to navigate to and within. This year, to celebrate the solstice, we'll be using some flower metaphors, specifically sunflowers, naturally. In addition to that celebration, Litha is also when we have traditionally held our Initiations into the House and, newly, rededications for existing House members. After the ceremony, we'll have a feast! Well, usually more like a pot luck snack. We would love for you to bring something to share. It doesn't have to be homemade (though homemade is great!); you can just stop at the store on your way and grab something if that's easier for you. Join as as we sit in circle to embrace the heart opening qualities and spirit of grandmother cacao. Following this, we will each have the opportunity both give and receive healing energies with one another. Participants are welcome to opt in or out of any portion. Healing practices might include, amongst other things, healing hands (optionally without touch), quantum healing, reiki, spot energy, cranial sacral, etc. This will conclude with an opportunity to open up our hearts one more time by sharing our insights with one another. This Summer Check-in is a follow up to the manifestation seminar Papa Bones Moon led on New Year’s Eve, as we gather as an accountability tribe to give each person space to talk the group through their personal manifestation boards and share how their journey has progressed over the past three months. As a little background... after discussing different ways to express manifestation during the NYE manifestation seminar... everyone then created a board using an eclectic combination of mind mapping, circles of life, the chakras, and 2026 bingo cards; aided by a pull from the Work Your Light Oracle Deck supported by a variety of colorful stickers and other print media different people brought. And although this event is primarily focused on NYE attendees... this is an opportunity for newcomers to discover if creating a manifestation board might be something that could add focus and direction to help turn desires into reality for their lives as well, since it's never to late to start manifesting the change we want to bring about in our lives. The session will feature an array of instruments, including crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, gentle chimes, gongs, and other vibrational instruments, each chosen for their unique resonant qualities. Spot Energy Chakra Healing with Sharon Sirkis Do you have a nagging ache or pain or wish you felt more present and grounded? Come experience a fast, effective, and different way of healing through the use of chakra symbology. A couple attendees during this event will have the opportunity to volunteer to get on the table for a healing/insight. Sharon will also be adding some new techniques to this month’s session. FACILITATOR BIO: Sharon Sirkis graduated from the University of MD in 1979 with a BS in Nursing. She is also a Reiki Master, a certified Chakra Energy Healing Practitioner, an accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher, a Black Belt in kenpo karate, and a singer and firekeeper for Native American sweat lodge ceremony. Sharon was led to study and assist with numerous classes in Chakra Energy Healing since 1998. She has also studied extensively at T’ai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts (now MUIH), with Rosalyn Bruyere, world renowned energy healer. Sharon sees healing as a big puzzle, and she finds that Spot Energy Chakra Healings including dialogue and insights are a much quicker and more effective piece of the puzzle. She agrees that healers are actually conduits for the energy that supports the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself, although she considers herself to be an active contributor. Sharon believes her background has helped make her an extremely strong and grounded healer, and also one who connects easily with clients because of her sense of humor and down-to-earth manner.
