Metalheads Gathering - Metal Together
Metalheads Gathering - Metal Together
Join us, metalheads of Zurich and its surrounding areas, in our monthly Wednesday meetup for some afterwork drinks, chaotic socializing and listening to heavy music! **Where?** This meetup will be held at **[Norden Bar](https://www.norden-bar.ch/)** \- a Nordic\-themed bar which offers an assortment of beers\, mead & liquors from all over Scandinavia\, as well as several tabletop games and a giant log for Hammerschlagen\! **When?** The gathering will officially begin at \~7:00pm and normally goes until midnight. However, members often arrive slightly earlier and might stay until the following day! You are welcome to join at any point and leave whenever you please. **Attendance:** Attendance can vary, but the number of people at the gatherings is normally somewhere between 20 and 40 metalheads! The group is comprised by a balanced mixture of longstanding members, semi-regulars and curious visitors. **Chats:** Get invited to our chat-groups by introducing yourself at one of the meetups! We currently offer an "official" chat for announcements, updates on events & organizing concerts, a "fun" chat for casual discussions & informal events, and a meme chat for silly discussions and somewhat thematic memes. You can join neither, some or all! **FAQ:** "*How can I find the group?*" We normally reserve one of the larger tables at the bar and decorate it with a large black flag. If you still have trouble finding the group, feel free to approach the bartenders and they will point you our way. We also use name tags, so talk to anyone with a name tag visible and you are already part of the group! "What happens if I arrive late?" Nothing really. We will give you a warm welcome and introduce you to the others, no matter at which time you arrive 🙂 "*What can I expect from these meetups?*" Think of a common "after-work meet & drink", but in a themed bar, with lots of band-shirts and metal music playing in the background. Guests normally show up, grab a drink and join a clique for a conversation. "*Do I need to be a hardcore metal fan for this meetup?*" Not really. The theme of this meetup is indeed metal music and most members do have a liking for it, but plenty others are more casual listeners or more into rock/punk/goth. We welcome all!

ZUG 🌿 Remove Invasive Plants Together!
ZUG 🌿 Remove Invasive Plants Together!
🌿 **Help Restore Native Nature in Zug – Remove Invasive Plants Together!** 🛠 **What to Expect** Join us for a hands-on community action to protect local biodiversity in **Zug**! We’ll be working together **to remove invasive and non-indigenous plants** that threaten the native ecosystem. These species spread aggressively and outcompete the plants that local wildlife depends on. This time, we will focus on removing the **Butterfly Bush (Buddleja**). Although it provides nectar for adult butterflies, it is not a host plant for most native caterpillars. When invasive plants replace native vegetation, butterfly diversity declines and disrupt local ecosystems. Before we begin, **Stadt Zug Werkhof** will give a short introduction about the environmental impact of invasive plants and why removing them matters. Come get your hands dirty, meet friendly like-minded people, and make **a visible impact in our local community.** Together, we can help native plants 🌿— and butterflies 🦋— thrive again! 🗓 **Date & Time** **Saturday, March 7, 2026** **9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (CET)** You’re welcome to join or leave at any time — every bit of help truly makes a difference! 📍 **Meeting Point** Please meet at **Oberwil B. Zug, Klinik Zugersee – Bus Stop** in Zug. 🚌 **Public Transport - Bus stop: Oberwil B. Zug, Klinik Zugersee** **Bus 603 (from Zug)** **Bus 611 (from Zug)** **Bus 605 (from Walchwil)** Please use public transportation, as there is very limited public parking available at the meeting point and to ensure a smooth and stress-free start to the event. We recommend arriving a few minutes early so we can start on time. 🌍 **Language** This event is in both **English** and **German**. 👕 **What to Wear & Bring** Clothing: * Weather-appropriate, sturdy outdoor clothing * Strong, ankle-high shoes (some areas are steep, and the forest ground can be muddy or wet) Please bring: * Water * A hot drink * Snacks 🥪 We will provide a sandwich if you are staying through lunch. 🛠 Tools for plant removal will be provided by **Stadt Zug Werkhof to clear a** defined area to clear (we finish once it’s done!) ⚠️ **Important Information** * This event is not suitable for children. * Insurance coverage is the responsibility of each participant. By registering for the event, **you are committing to attend**, as everyone’s participation matters. If something unexpected comes up, please let us know **by Thursday, 5 March**, so we can plan accordingly. 🌧 **Weather Policy** If we need to cancel due to weather conditions, we will notify all participants **by 17:00 on Thursday, 5 March**. In case of cancellation, the alternative date is **Saturday, 14 March**. 🗓 **Datum & Zeit** **Samstag, 7.
