These classes are for students who have some previous training experience and already know the basics of the art, have good cardiovascular endurance and body conditioning in order to be able to take hits. **For ages 17 and above.** Rumba, often nicknamed the “dance of love”, is derived from the Afro-Caribbean ballroom dance “Son” popular in the 1930s. Its slower, smooth and continuous hip actions, known as the ‘Cuban movement’, give it a romantic and sensual feel. The Bachata is a dance from the Caribbean and Dominican Republic, and it began as a very basic dance.
