Let's have apéro together at Paname on Saturday 21 March!
Let's meet for pre-dinner drinks and nibbles at Paname! I've booked a table for 8 of us from 17:00, and we can keep the table for about two hours. Paname has a great drinks menu along with nice food options for anyone feeling peckish.
To be sure of headcount, I am again asking for a PayPal fee to hold your place. The money is simply a deposit to secure your spot and fight against no-shows. I will reimburse you when you arrive and we will all pay our own way at the end as usual. If you ghost us, we reserve the right to buy snacks with your money! Thank you for understanding and let me know if PayPal is an issue for you!
See you soon :)

Join in play-read at Casino in the city center.
No drama or stage experience is required.
Open for anyone with an interest in reading out loud in a friendly environment.
The participants are expected to bring their own reading materials.

Culinary exchange workshop
Love food and meeting new people? Join us for a **Culinary Exchange Workshop** — a fun, hands-on cooking event where everyone brings a taste of their own culture to the table.
**How it works:**
* 👩🍳 Each participant submits one or more recipes — starter, main course, dessert, or even a drink.
* 🗳️ We vote together to create our dream menu: one dish per category.
* 🧺 We then organize who brings which ingredients, so everything’s ready for the big day.
* 🏆 The 3–4 chosen chefs lead the group in preparing their winning dishes, guiding others through the recipe without cooking themselves.
* 🍷 Finally, we cook, laugh, and share a delicious meal together in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Whether you’re a passionate cook or just curious to learn, this is the perfect opportunity to **discover new flavors, share your culinary traditions, and make new friends** from around the world.

Festival des Migrations (9.5km, no loop)
Hello Friends!
This weekend, the annual "Festival des Migrations" takes place at Luxexpo.
While it was next to impossible to capture in a photo the extent of the mass migration that we had last week in Mondorf, I still found it the most suitable picture for this event :)
We will start from Dommeldange, follow some known and some unknown paths, make a short stop at the well-known wooden hut, and then straight to Kirchberg, breaking out of the woods near the Luxexpo bus station.
There will be a few stops to drink some water, and you can of course munch on something, but we won't do a long lunch break this time, because we aim to get some food at the end.
I highly recommend the "Pisco Sour" from Peru, and there are many other interesting beverages.
You should preferably use public transport!
While we may initially disperse quickly after getting to the event, usually there is a table or two in the food court area, that is occupied by someone all the time.
With constant coming and going, once conquered, this space remains ours!
Remember: Food brings us back together all the time!
(like on every Christmas market)
**Meeting Point:**
We will meet at the Dommeldange train station.
You will find parking there, but I recommend using public transport.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/cx94RBaDRdA8YyQn8
**Public Transport:**
Train RB 3609 will leave Gare Centrale at 09:53 from platform 3cd.
Buses 10, 11, and several others will stop at "Eich, Klinick"
**Disclaimer:**
The hike is at your own risk, and please make sure to wear proper shoes and bring some water for yourself!
Looking forward to hiking with you!
Jens.
March book selection: A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara
Long book warning!
A finalist for the Man Booker and the National Book Award, the 951-page A Little Life may or may not be life changing. There is only one way to find out, and that's to start reading.
*Goodreads summary*
When four classmates from a small Massachusetts college move to New York to make their way, they're broke, adrift, and buoyed only by their friendship and ambition. There is kind, handsome Willem, an aspiring actor; JB, a quick-witted, sometimes cruel Brooklyn-born painter seeking entry to the art world; Malcolm, a frustrated architect at a prominent firm; and withdrawn, brilliant, enigmatic Jude, who serves as their center of gravity.
Over the decades, their relationships deepen and darken, tinged by addiction, success, and pride. Yet their greatest challenge, each comes to realize, is Jude himself, by midlife a terrifyingly talented litigator yet an increasingly broken man, his mind and body scarred by an unspeakable childhood, and haunted by what he fears is a degree of trauma that he’ll not only be unable to overcome—but that will define his life forever.
