**About the Session:** *Grounded in the Forest.*
Settle in for an hour of deeply guided Yoga Nidra and a grounding forest-inspired visual meditation in the park.
**This practice is designed to help you:**
⢠Rest your body fully and arrive steady for the week ahead.
⢠Calm and regulate your nervous system.
⢠Feel a sense of rootedness, belonging, and quiet inner support.
**Weāll begin with Yoga Nidra,** a guided practice where you simply lie down and let your body drop into deep rest. Often called yogic sleep, it invites you into that soft, spacious place between waking and dreaming. There is nothing you need to do, just follow my voice as I guide your awareness gently through the body and breath.
**From there, Iāll lead you into a visual meditation inspired by the moss-covered forest floor.** Through imagery of soft earth, shifting canopy light, and a quiet ancient presence, this meditation helps you feel grounded, held, and restored. The journey is designed to ease tension downward, settle the mind, and reconnect you with a deep sense of inner steadiness.
**No prior experience is needed, just come as you are. Everyone is welcome!** The meditation session is continuously guided by my voice and if you have not tried meditation before - this is a great way to start.
**What to bring?**
* A yoga mat to lie on and a blanket. (If you have forgotten to bring one still come, I will have some extra mats in case š)
* A pillow or eye covering if you like extra comfort.
* Warm layers, please wear comfortable clothing (it can get very nippy in the park when lying still. Please rug up šæ)
**Attending:**
* **If you havenāt RSVPād and want to come last minute, youāre always welcome to join, the more the merrier! I will have a few mats on hand just in case.** š
**Starting set up:**
Weāll start the meditation session at 9am on Saturday.
Coming a little early helps you settle, get comfortable, and land in the space before we begin.
**Running late:**
Please know, if youāre running late, thereās no stress at all. Just join quietly whenever you arrive. You wonāt be disrupting anything and your presence is welcome at any point during the session. š
I am also running a Hatha yoga session before this starting at 8am, if you would like to come to that one as well please click attending one both event listings. šš

Dating for Neurodivergents ā Practical Strategies & Real Talk
## **Dating for Neurodivergents ā Practical Strategies & Real Talk**
**Hosted by:** Neurospicy in Bayside
**Presented by:** Honor Newman ā psychology background, mindset coach, and proudly neurodivergent
Dating can feel confusing or overwhelming when youāre neurodivergent. This workshop offers a supportive, low-pressure space to explore how to date in a way that feels safe, authentic and less stressful.
Honor will share her experiences of dating masked and unmasked, navigating apps with anxiety, and the common pitfalls that trip ND people up. Weāll cover building a profile that feels like you, moving from chatting to date one, communicating without spiralling, and attracting healthier matches. Safety, pacing, boundaries and reducing overwhelm are all part of the conversation.
The session is interactive with group discussion, reflective prompts and Q&A woven throughout.
***
### **FAQ**
**Is this a dating event?**
No. Itās a skills and insight workshop. Not for meeting a partner. Clear boundaries will be set.
**Who is it for?**
Anyone who identifies as neurodivergent or suspects they might be.
**What else is covered?**
Managing anxiety, avoiding info-dump roadblocks, meeting people offline, first-date basics, fashion tips, profile mistakes, trauma triggers, and more.
**Will it be overwhelming?**
We aim for a calm, supportive space with optional participation. Quiet listeners are very welcome.
**Can I ask personal questions?**
Yes. Thereās Q&A time and an anonymous option for anything sensitive.
**Does this workshop cover queer-specific dating?**
Some principles apply across orientations ā things like pacing, safety, boundaries, profile clarity and communication skills. But Honor isnāt a queer-dating specialist, so she wonāt speak on experiences or dynamics she doesnāt know firsthand. The focus stays on ND-friendly dating foundations that help in most contexts.
