[face to face] professional communication exercise
[face to face] professional communication exercise
Join this Professional Communication session — to sharpen the skills for architectural pitches, elevator pitches, interviews. This time we meet in the Monbijou park. 💡 How it works The event is split into two parts: 1. **Communication (10 minute rounds)** – One participant answers a round of design and behavioral questions. Each other participant gets to ask him one question. 2. **Feedback Round** – The group provides feedback on communication, structure, and clarity. Constructive criticism is encouraged. 💡You will be asked: * **Light design problems** (high-level reasoning, not code) * **Behavioral questions** (“Tell me about yourself”, “Describe a challenge you faced...”) No need to prepare anything in advance — just bring curiosity and an open mind. 💡Note: location is the entrance to Monbijou park

Sonic Journey
Sonic Journey
Join us for SonicJourney – an intimate evening of sound, story, and deep listening in Berlin. Multiple facilitators will weave a living soundscape with Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, voice, and various beautiful healing instruments from the sound healing world. You’re invited to lie down, soften, and let the vibrations support your nervous system, invite deep rest, and gently carry you wherever your inner journey wishes to take you. **What We’ll Do** We gather in a cozy studio in Friedrichshain for a 90-minute SonicJourney: a guided 1-hour sound journey / sound bath in Berlin, held within a gentle opening and closing. * **Arrival & Opening** We arrive, land in the space and in our bodies, and share a short introduction to SonicJourney and the theme of the evening. * **Sonic Journey** You lie down on your mat, get comfortable, and close your eyes. Three facilitators co-create a living soundscape using instruments from the sound healing (Klangheilung) world: Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, flute, voice, and subtle textures of silence. Rather than telling a story with words, we let sound carry the narrative. Each person receives their own version of the journey – images, emotions, and sensations may arise in their own way and timing, like a very personal Klangreise. * **Integration & Closing** We return slowly, with time to feel the body again, integrate in silence or share a few words, and close the space together so you can carry the experience back into your evening. **How It May Feel** Everyone’s journey is different, but participants often describe feeling: * Calmer, softer, and more connected to their body * Less mental noise, more inner space * Gently energized yet deeply grounded * More open to creativity, rest, and connection You don’t need to “do” anything right – your only job is to show up as you are and receive. **What's unique about SonicJourney** * Multi-voice sound field – Several facilitators play at once, creating layered textures and depth. * Story as sound – Instead of words, we let stories unfold through vibration, rhythm and silence. * Community at the core – This space is about being together, not just having an individual experience. * Rooted in sound healing – We use instruments chosen to support the nervous system and invite deep rest. **Who this is for:** SonicJourney is for you if: * You long for a pause from the pace and noises within. * You feel curious about sound healing, altered states, or deep relaxation. * You enjoy non-verbal, sensory experiences more than a lot of talking. No prior experience with yoga, meditation or music is needed. All backgrounds and levels are welcome. If you are pregnant, have sound sensitivity or have a medical condition, you’re invited to reach out beforehand so we can support you as best we can. * Comfortable, warm clothing and socks. * Optional: your own mat / blanket if you prefer (studio has mats and props). * Water bottle. * Any extra cushion or eye cover that supports your rest. **MEET THE HOST** **Dhiraj** **Dhiraj’s** journey from software developer to sound healer was inspired by his wife’s deep connection to yoga and spirituality. Through yoga, meditation, and sound healing, he discovered a profound sense of peace and a passion for helping others reconnect with themselves. Now, as a sound bath healer, Dhiraj creates warm, welcoming spaces where people can relax, reflect, and find inner calm. A proud member of Yogic Escape, he loves sharing the joy and balance he’s found, helping others on their own paths to self-discovery. **SARA** Sara is a certified sound and energy therapist based in Berlin. A longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation, she trained in sound healing with a focus on Tibetan bowls and gongs. "In 2023, I encountered sound healing and felt the profound potential of sound vibration and energy work—to unlock, to heal, and to reconnect deeply. I love shaping sound baths as spaces of complete surrender, where people can simply be—beyond roles and definitions—and gently come home to themselves, without judgment and in peace." **DICLE** Dicle is a Berlin-based dancer, yoga teacher, and Pilates/Barre instructor , and sound healer. Rooted in her dance background, her teaching is guided by creativity, mindfulness, and deep care for her students. She creates balancing, transformative sound baths with Tibetan singing bowls and complementary instruments—spaces where the body softens, the mind clears, and the nervous system can settle into parasympathetic rest. **FEDERICO** Federico is a Berlin-based sound healing practitioner and yoga teacher. After years of embodied practice and teaching, he trained in sound healing in 2025. His encounter with sound deeply transformed his way of perceiving life and practice, guiding him toward a more subtle, essential, and listening-based approach. His work creates spaces of stillness, regulation, and reconnection through vibration and presence. “Sound healing changed the way I listen—to my body, to others, and to life itself. Working with sound taught me that transformation does not always come through effort, but often through allowing. In my sessions, I offer a space where nothing needs to be fixed, where people can slow down, rest, and gently return to themselves.” **Important Notes for Participants** While SonicJourney is designed to be deeply soothing and restorative, we offer the following guidance so the experience can be safe and supportive for everyone: * If you are taking medication for anxiety, depression, sleep, blood pressure, or any condition affecting the nervous system, the depth of relaxation and altered state may feel more amplified. * If you live with epilepsy, strong sound sensitivity, PTSD, a history of trauma, or certain mental‑health conditions, the long, layered vibrations may evoke unexpected sensations, images or emotions. * If you are pregnant, especially in the first trimester, please only join if it feels right for you and after consulting your healthcare provider. * If you use hearing aids or cochlear implants, you may choose to adjust or remove them if the sound field feels too intense. If any of this relates to you — or if you’re simply unsure how your body may respond — we warmly encourage you to check in with a healthcare professional before attending. During the journey, you are always welcome to change position, sit up, rest, take a break, or step outside. Your comfort, choice and inner stability matter above all. *May the vibrations guide you, cleanse you, and remind you of the quiet healing already alive within your being.*

We’ll guide you through stripping, padding, fabric selection, and finishing techniques. No experience necessary, we provide all materials! **Limited spots! [Get your tickets directly from Studio Jojola. ](https://www.studiojojola.com/shop/p/introduction-to-upholstery-workshop-4gmpt)** #### Here's some further info on what to expect: #### **Do I need any experience?** Not at all! This workshop is designed for complete beginners. You’ll learn everything step-by-step. #### **Do I need to bring anything?** Nope — we provide the chair, fabric, tools, and all materials. Designs may vary slightly, but all are beginner-friendly and great for learning. #### **Is the chair really mine to take home?** Yes — the chair is yours to keep at the end of the workshop. #### **Can I attend just one of the two days?** The workshop is designed as a complete two-day experience — on the first day, we take the chair apart and prepare it; on the second, we reassemble and upholster it with your chosen fabric. After that, we can’t guarantee a refund but may be able to transfer your spot to someone else. #### **Will there be food?** We provide tea, coffee, and light snacks. #### **Is there an age requirement?** Yes — this workshop is for adults 18 and over. Due to the tools and materials involved, it's not suitable for children or teens. Participation of minors under the supervision of an adult may be considered on an individual basis. Please get in touch for more details. #### **Can I choose my fabric?** Yes! We’ll have a curated selection of upholstery fabrics to choose from on the day. If you have something special you'd like to use, feel free to bring it — just let us know in advance so we can confirm it's suitable.

Curious what we do? Check our [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/filmmakersandmovienerds/) ♥️ Would you like to meet some like-minded filmmakers? Start a project? Or do you need help with a movie you are currently working on? Are you new in the city and you'd like to meet people tinkering with movies? **Then you should join us!** We meet every Sunday. It’s important to us that we get to know each other in person. To create a community of connected people, work, learn and grow together. After that we get together loosely with some drinks and chats. And then we mostly go for dinner with a couple of us. **Important information**: *To sustain and grow this amazing community, we started a member contribution that is due every month. The money we collect is used solely for the purpose of the community. Of course you can come once or twice without contributing to check us out!*

Radical Empathy
Radical Empathy
**Radical Empathy – Navigating conflicts as a trans, non-binary, and inter person** with ***Neo Seefried*** & ***Béla Belissima*** for **LGBTQIA+** Free event with[ ](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/radical-empathy/w16-2026)**[registration](https://wearevillage.org/shop/radical-empathy/w22-2026)** In this workshop, activist and artist **Béla Belissima** invites participants into an empowering exploration of conflict dynamics. Together, we will examine how trans-feminine and queer lived experiences shape our navigation of resistance, confrontation, and self-assertion. Drawing from her background in political education and community communications, Béla offers insights into remaining agentic during conflicts without making our identities invisible. This session provides a dedicated space for reflection and the exchange of strategies that help us set boundaries while staying connected to ourselves and our communities. **About Radical Empathy** **Radical Empathy – Tools for Togetherness** builds on Radical Empathy – Queer Storytelling for Connection (2025) and further develops the format: from collective storytelling to collective practice. The workshop series strengthens queer solidarity in all its diversity and asks: How can we stay connected, especially when things get tough? Hosted by **Neo Seefried**, the series combines collective storytelling with somatic, communicative, and creative tools to remain capable of acting in queer contexts when faced with conflicts, emotions, and differences—without avoiding or escalating them, but rather with greater clarity, care, and relational competence. Each session has its own thematic focus (including grief & death, relationships, migration, HIV/AIDS, club culture & substances, trans/inter/non-binary) and is complemented by a guest who explores the respective topic in depth. At the center is the Resonance Circle: a space for shared stories, mindful listening, and resonance—empathy as a practice that we train together and carry into our daily lives.
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease. This walk is a simple reset. We meet in Berlin’s Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment. No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening. If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk. ✨ **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):** * A short arrival and orientation * A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation) * One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress * Optional reflection in pairs or small groups * A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life 🚶**Who this is for:** * Professionals, creatives, and people in transition. * People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance. * Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical. * Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation. 🔔 **Practical notes:** * Duration: 60-90 minutes * Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing * No prior experience needed * Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused 🧭 **Facilitator:** My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction. 🤔 **Why Chitta Walks?** Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense. Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world. The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. 🌿 **Possible effects:** A calmer nervous system. Clearer attention. A felt sense of being more present in your body. Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions. A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city. **Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**

Origami CATalogue at a cat café 🐈
Origami CATalogue at a cat café 🐈
For the first time in its almost two years of history, Origami Crafters in Berlin goes into a **cat café**! Actual cats will be around to witness our folding efforts.*🐈🐈‍⬛* And what could be more appropriate to fold there than **cats** themselves? We might also add **mice** to the folding menu, depending on your appetite (and so to say, our origami cats' appetite too). 😺🐭 We invite you to join us at the very centrally located **Katzentempel** (S+U Friedrichstrasse) to fold a feline cat-alogue while enjoying the company of real cats roaming around. What you can expect in our events: * **Mandatory donation (amount of your choice)** – this supports essential costs like the Meetup subscription and keeps our community thriving. 🌱 You can either submit a physical donation to the event host in person or make a digital donation [here](https://paypal.me/origamiberlin?locale.x=de_DE&country.x=DE) (and inform the host afterwards). * **Please order at least one drink/snack** to support Katzentempel for hosting us! * **In-person folding practice for all levels** – beginners and experienced folders are equally welcome. * **Origami paper + model instructions will be provided** (from the host’s collection, for reference only). Feel free to bring your own favorite sheets or tools! * **Photos may be taken** for memories & our archive (Meetup, Instagram, Telegram) – let the host know if you prefer not to appear. ⚠️ **RSVP Policy – Please Read** ⚠️ Our community has grown a lot since its birth in August 2024, which is amazing — but it also means we need to handle RSVPs more carefully: * Please cancel your spot or contact the host directly (via Meetup message function or our [Telegram channel](https://t.me/+T4URs80l2ig3NWNi)) if you can't make it last minute. * Members with **2 no-shows** (without notice) will be removed from the group unless a valid reason is provided. Thank you for helping us keep Origami Crafters Berlin respectful, reliable, and fun! 🙏 Get in touch if you have questions anytime and see you all at the folding tables very soon! ☕️

Screenwriting Focus Group | Filmmakers & Movie Nerds
**🎬 Screenwriters' Meetup Invitation 🎬** This meetup is for anyone passionate about storytelling—whether you’re a screenwriter, filmmaker, producer, or someone with a great idea looking for the right collaborators. Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your screenplay, this is the perfect space to create, collaborate, and refine your work. **When You Bring Your Screenplay, Think About Three Key Ingredients:** 1. **Your Main Character** – Who are they? What drives them? 2. **The Central Conflict** – What’s at stake? What’s standing in their way? 3. **The Theme** – What’s the deeper idea that motivates you to tell this story? If you’re struggling to find a theme, define your character, or establish a strong conflict—don’t worry. That’s exactly what this meetup is for. We’re here to help you uncover the core of your story and give you the tools to develop it further. Already have an elaborate story? Great! Reflect on these elements: * **Compelling Characters** – Are they layered, dynamic, and memorable? * **Inner Conflicts, Interpersonal Tensions, and Global Stakes** – Does your story operate on multiple levels? * **A Strong, Personal Theme** – Does your theme resonate with you and give your story purpose? If you can identify these elements, we can dive even deeper and give you focused, constructive feedback to help your screenplay reach its full potential. Bring your ideas, your drafts, and your passion. Let’s collaborate, challenge each other, and create stories that matter. We can’t wait to see you there!

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
**The Behavior Gap: Where Products Win or Lose** Teams today have more data than ever, and yet many still struggle to understand why customers adopt, engage with, or abandon their products. Teams sprint, ship faster, and chase more signals… all while metrics stall and confidence drops. The missing piece isn’t more data. It’s often the behavioral insight between the metrics, explaining why the numbers move in the first place. Dashboards can tell you what customers did, but understanding why they did it (and how to influence what they do next) requires a deeper blend of insights. This session is about closing that gap. Drawing from real-world experience designing and scaling products as [ZoCo Design](https://zocodesign.com/)’s CEO, [Lacey](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) will share how to cut through the noise and identify the insights that actually change behavior—moving people, and moving metrics. You’ll learn: * Why understanding customer behavior is a quant and qual challenge * How to spot the signals that actually predict behavior change * Where AI accelerates insight, and where it creates distraction * How to get meaningfully closer to customers, without adding more tools This talk reframes how to evaluate performance and identify what levers actually improve it, helping your team to make smarter bets with greater confidence. Every meaningful outcome is driven by behavior change. And when you know how to design for behavior, you stop guessing, and start building things that work. **About Our Speaker** [Lacey Picazo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) is the Founder and CEO of ZoCo, a healthcare product studio that turns complex, high-stakes ideas into products that drive real-world adoption. She partners with healthcare organizations to uncover critical care delivery insights, focus product strategy through behavior design, and build solutions that patients and providers actually use.
