Why Chronic Stress Keeps You Feeling Stuck
### A Nervous-System-Led Insight & Integration Session
*(This is not a relaxation class)*
Many capable, high-functioning people feel stuck — not because they lack motivation or insight, but because their nervous system has been under ongoing pressure for too long.
When stress becomes chronic, the body prioritises protection over change.
Old patterns stay in place. Rest becomes shallow. Even positive intentions feel hard to sustain.
This session explores **why ongoing pressure and overload lock familiar patterns in place — even when you’re capable, motivated, and “doing all the right things.”**
***
## What this session is — and isn’t
**This is not a relaxation or meditation session.**
You won’t be asked to “just relax,” visualise positivity, or bypass what’s happening in your body.
**This *is* a guided, nervous-system-led session** designed to help you understand how stress affects identity, behaviour, and emotional patterns — and how regulation creates the conditions for real, sustainable change.
The experience combines practical insight with guided integration, so understanding can actually land in the body.
***
## What this session will focus on
✨ **Why chronic stress keeps you feeling stuck**
How ongoing pressure and overload reinforce familiar emotional and behavioural patterns — even when you know better.
✨ **How nervous system regulation supports real change**
Why feeling safer in your body improves clarity, rest, and your ability to move forward.
✨ **How to gently shift long-held patterns**
A simple, grounded framework — plus a guided hypnosis experience — to support calm identity integration.
***
## What you may notice after the session
✔ A greater sense of internal steadiness
✔ Reduced mental pressure or restlessness
✔ Clearer insight into what’s been holding you in place
✔ A calmer, more grounded sense of direction
✔ Practical understanding you can continue using
***
## This session may be helpful if you:
• Feel tense, mentally overloaded, or unable to fully switch off
• Notice recurring habits or emotional patterns that don’t shift
• Are capable and functioning, but feel internally misaligned
• Are going through a period of change or transition
• Are tired of surface-level strategies or “positive thinking” advice
No prior experience with hypnosis or nervous system work is required.
***
## Session format
• Gentle, structured teaching
• Guided nervous system regulation
• A focused hypnosis experience for integration
• Optional reflection at the end
There is **no pressure to share or speak**.
You’re welcome to attend quietly and take what you need.
***
## Practical details
🕰 Duration: approx. 60–75 minutes
👥 Small, intentional group (limited places)
💰 Investment: $39
(Includes guided session + integration support)
***
This session is designed to help you understand **why stress has been shaping your patterns** — and how change becomes possible when the nervous system finally feels safe enough to update.
You don’t need to do more.
You may need a different entry point.
Kids play & socialise. Parents have coffee and socialise
If your prep has Wednesdays off in Feb and you are struggling for ideas come along and just let them play for an hour or two to kick off the day and lower their energy levels.
I've got a prep myself!
Parents can hang out and socialise.
Robby Pizza Pasta is where the indoor playground is located so meet there would be easiest reference point. (Playground is also near Starbucks)
🍹🍽️ Make New Friends Over Conversation Games 🍽️🍹

For those who haven't played it before, Listen Up™ is a unique conversational board game that tests your listening skills and inspires deeper connections between participants.
There are 3 categories of questions you can get asked depending on the round!
(1) 🙃 Just for fun: all kinds of fun questions from if you were a candy or crayon what would you be to what's your fave smell in the world? 😋
(2) 😉 Share: Cause sharing is caring! Starting to get into the deeper questions like if you have a bad day would you prefer to be left alone or have someone cheer you up? 😉
(3) 😎 Listen Up!: Aha this is where all the deep questions are!
(Juz and Nicole will be coming straight from work and will likely be there early. If you want join us for a bite to eat, send a message and we'll keep an eye out for you.)

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬:
• Let's keep things respectful. Our group has a diverse range of members and we get along great! This is because we accept one another, avoid insensitive comments, try to keep swearing to a minimum, and steer clear of gossip and mindless venting.
• Please be punctual. Our hosts will check the Meetup page and post their location upon arrival before redirecting their attention to the people present. If you are late (more than 5 min), don’t expect to be able to reach them as they may not check their phone. Please allow enough time for travel and parking. (On that note, we don't organise carpooling because of various liability issues.)
• If you say you're going to come, then please actually come. Many of our events end up waitlisted so if you claim a spot and don't show up, then someone else might miss out. Attendees who don't show up (or cancel their RSVP within 12 hours of the event) will be flagged as "no-shows". Repeat "no-showers" will be banned from the group to make space for more reliable attendees.
• We want to keep all our members safe and healthy so if you are unwell, then please stay home. If you need to cancel within the 12 hour "no show" window, please send a courtesy message to the event host.
• Please don't come if you are just looking to hit people up for your own agenda. Our members are so much more than followers for your Instagram account, customers for your Herbalife business, or people for your Forex empire. In our community, we are about adding value to one another. If you are just coming with a self-serving agenda, then we aren't your crowd.
• And finally, this isn't a great group for people who like wallowing in life's problems. We choose positivity and gratitude, so bring some with you!

Freestyle + Potluck
**Potluck**: Bring Wine. Bring Food. Drink wine. Eat food. Sounds pretty easy, right? (Unless 5 people bring chili... please, no more chili!). Post what you're bringing in the comments below if you fear that you might bring exactly what someone else might bring.
**On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. There is NO formal wine tasting like on other weeks\. Door charge is $10 \(cash or Venmo only please\)\. We may have some left over wines to clear out\! Glasses are provided\. Take Care\. See you there\.
**Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby. I am told that the Chase parking lot is safe after hours.
**Glasses**: …will be provided. Please note that after the wine tasting, the EMPTY glasses need to be returned to the boxes at the service table. Please do not make me hunt down your empty glass. Please be gentle, our glasses are fragile. Uh, they are made of glass!
**Code of Conduct**: Though mostly understood, it’s still worth mentioning. We don’t have rules per se, but we highly discourage the following topics of discussion because they are likely to incite anti-social responses - Sex, Politics, Religion. Please don’t mistake this as an attempt to limit your free speech rights but rather a guide to a place and time for appropriate discussions.
**After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, if you still haven’t had enough of us, it is typical for a group to get together and go to a local eatery for food and/or drinks or coffee.
Again, We look forward to meeting new members and reuniting with old friends.
Sincerely, ***Paul Uttermohlen***,
**Red 1 Realty**
