I am excited to announce the launch of a series of healthy Persian cooking classes with Zohal. With her background as a street-food trader, she has developed a deep passion for sharing the joy of food. We will be hosting accessible yet delicious cooking workshops in her kitchen. During the class, participants will have the opportunity to cook alongside her and share tips. At the end of the session, guests will be served a delicious meal, allowing everyone to relax and socialise. -**Starter** Ashak is an Afghan dish made of dumplings filled with chives and leeks, served in a tomato sauce topped with yoghurt and dried mint. -**Vegetarian dish** Sabzi -**Main** Qabli palov, also known as ‘Qabuli pulao’, is a traditional Afghan rice dish known for its rich flavours and aromatic spices. -**Dessert** Freshly made baklava served with ice cream. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily.
