Pop-up tour: Understand Denmark
Pop-up tour: Understand Denmark
Ever wondered *why Denmark works the way it does*? You may already live here — but understanding Denmark is something else entirely. On this **2-hour pop-up walking tour**, we go beyond the usual history and sights to explore the ideas, values, and systems that shape Danish society today. This is not a traditional sightseeing tour — it’s a conversation about how Denmark actually functions. We’ll walk through central Copenhagen and use the city as our classroom. Along the way, we’ll talk about topics like: * Why Danes trust each other (and their government) * How the welfare state really works * Why people are willing to pay high taxes * The role of monarchy in a modern democracy * Danish culture, social norms, and everyday life * And yes — what’s going on with Greenland, and our relationship to the United States This tour is designed for **curious, thoughtful people** who want to understand the country they are living in — not just observe it. After the tour you are welcome to join for an informal dinner with the other participants and the guide. The price of the tour is 125 DKK which can be paid on the tour in cash or MobilePay. Your guide is Jens Frahm-Rasmussen who, before becoming a guide, worked 10 years in Human resources in the City hall of Copenhagen, the Ministry of Integration, and Copenhagen University.

Coffee Talk
Coffee Talk
Fulfillment. Joy. – Do you know what it is? Do you feel it now? Many of us are living lives that have “just sort of happened”. We had a dream, a vision (maybe we still do) for what we wanted our lives to look like. Somewhere along the way, life took over and something else ended up happening. We made decisions, took a turn down a path, and now our life isn’t what we thought it would be. Or we’re living someone else’s life. Maybe it’s what our parent’s wanted for us. What we believe our partner or a potential partner might want. Or maybe it’s what we believe we need to do and have to be happy. I was one of these people. My life checked all the boxes for what I thought I needed in order to be happy. And still, I wasn’t. Join me for a coffee talk on what it means to live a Life By Design. Where your choices are deliberate and based on your authentic, true self. What you have to let go off to achieve this (hint: the notion that vulnerability is a weakness and feelings of fear and guilt) and who you will become in the process.

Climbing @ Beta Østerbro / Vibenhus
**Hi everyone** I’m David, and I’d love to start a social bouldering club for anyone who wants to climb, hang out, and meet new people! I’ve been climbing for about 1.5 years, so I’m still in my learning phase, but I’m more than happy to help beginners get started and share the basics with anyone who’s new. I will arrange a meetup climbing event every 2nd week or once a month, at different climbing gyms around the city. This is going to be the first event on a week day. So the time is a bit different than the weekend. **Climbing at Beta Østerbro / Vibenhus @ 17.30** The focus is on: • Climbing and challenging ourselves • Being social and building a fun community • Training together – all levels welcome There will be a warm up and cool down, focusing on climbing and mobility. If you want to join in on that, otherwise drop in when ever. If you’re interested in joining, just drop a comment. Looking forward to climbing with you all!

Store Heddinge - Stevns Klint, 10 KM
Store Heddinge - Stevns Klint, 10 KM
Let's go on a beautiful, easy day hike along one of the most dramatic and historically fascinating coastlines in all of Denmark, Stevns Klint. No big elevation, no rush, just white chalk cliffs, 65-million-year-old fossils, a medieval church teetering on the edge of a cliff, and the Baltic Sea stretching out in front of us the whole way. It's the kind of walk where you stop every ten minutes just to stare... Meeting point: Store Heddinge Station at 10:30. From there, we’ll walk to Stevns Klint (about 5 km), explore the area, and return via the same route , around 10 km total. Easy peasy... Humanist Program
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid.
