Cuddling as Collective Care – all genders
Cuddling as Collective Care – all genders
**Cuddling as Collective Care – all genders** for **LGBTQIA+** **[Book a Ticket](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/regenerative-touch/w11-2026)** **Member: 15 €** **Regular: 30 €** This Cuddle Puddle offers a safe, consent-based space for people of all genders within the LGBTQIA+ community to experience non-sexual touch, communal connection and rest. Guided exercises support emotional wellbeing, boundaries, and self-awareness. **Cuddle Puddles** are structured, guided spaces where people can experience the benefits of non-sexual touch — such as reduced stress, nervous system regulation, and a deeper sense of belonging. Touch, when consensual and caring, can support emotional resilience and mental health. This **Cuddle Puddle** is open to all genders within the LGBTQIA+ community, creating a space where diverse identities can meet beyond gendered expectations. A non-gender-restricted setting allows for broader empathy, mutual understanding, and connection, while honoring individual boundaries, choice, and safety at all times. **General Information** • This format is for all queer people (LGBTQIA+) interested in experiencing touch in a safe(r) setting. • This is a clothes-on format. • Bring a sheet and towel to cover cushions, mats, or massage tables. • This event will be in English • This event is also available at a reduced member price – but not part of the three-free-monthly-events benefit.

A Women’s Circle & Watercolour Workshop
A Women’s Circle & Watercolour Workshop
## **What Does Equality Look Like?** *A Women’s Circle & Watercolour Workshop* In this intimate two-hour women’s circle, we will gather to create, reflect, and connect through watercolour painting inspired by vintage feminist posters and historic movements such as the Women's March and International Women's Day. We’ll begin by exploring powerful imagery and messages from past feminist struggles. Together, we’ll reflect on the fights that came before us, the freedoms we’ve inherited, and the work that still remains. Through guided prompts and open conversation, you’ll be invited to share: * Your personal relationship with feminism * The women and movements that shaped you * What equality means in your life today * Your hopes for the future Then, using watercolours, you’ll create your own vision of *Future Feminism* — whether that’s a symbolic poster, a soft imagined landscape of equality, powerful words layered in colour, or an abstract expression of freedom. This workshop is not about artistic perfection. It is about expression, connection, memory, and possibility. Let's meet and create together! Meaningful conversation and art as a way to resist, fight and create! **When:** Tuesday 13.03 from 6 to 8 PM **Where:** Friedrichshain, Berlin (You will receive the exact address by e-mail) **Price:** 25€ / 20€ for regular students Paypal & Bank Transfer **Material:** You will need a watercolour set + watercolour paper + brushes. Fimlscreening in Babylon Berlin „Nanoplastics. Threat to Life“ EN/DE
EN: **Film Screening at Babylon Berlin** **“Nanoplastics – Threat to Life”** March 7 \| 2:00–6:30 PM This documentary explores one of the most urgent environmental and public health issues of our time: micro- and nanoplastics — invisible, yet already present in our environment and even in our bodies. Nanoplastics affect our health, ecosystems, and climate processes. The film brings together current scientific findings and highlights what makes nanoplastics particularly dangerous: their ability to accumulate electrostatic charge — a largely overlooked factor with far-reaching consequences. 🧬 What impact does this have on our health? 🌍 What does this mean for our future? A global environmental problem that urgently requires societal responses. 🎬 Language: English with German subtitles A discussion and Q&A session will follow the screening. 🎟 Free admission 📩 Please register in advance 📍 Address: Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 30, 10178 Berlin (Mitte, opposite the Volksbühne) Link to the free tickets at Babylon Berlin: https://babylonberlin.eu/film/9776-nanoplastik-die-unsichtbare-lebensgefahr?highlight=WyJuYW5vcGxhc3RpayJd DE: Filmvorführung im Babylon Berlin „Nanoplastik – Die unsichtbare Lebensgefahr“ (Nanoplastics.

SOLD OUT- Adventures in Ecological Horticulture
w Rebecca McMackin
SOLD OUT- Adventures in Ecological Horticulture w Rebecca McMackin
Free at Bexley Library Adventures in Ecological Horticulture with Rebecca McMackin Wednesday, March 18 1:00pm - 2:30pm Gone are the days when a garden could be ornamental alone. We now recognize the impact that our land care practices have on the ecosystems around us, and can see the importance of encouraging biodiversity. Thankfully, we do not need to sacrifice beauty when we invite butterflies and songbirds into our gardens. Rebecca McMackin has cultivated gorgeous landscapes in the toughest environments possible: urban parks, school playgrounds, and the sidewalks of New York City. She will take lessons from her work at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Brooklyn Museum, and decades of research to share how those of us who are fortunate enough to care for land, can do it beautifully and ecologically. Rebecca McMackin is an ecologically obsessed horticulturist and garden designer. She writes, lectures, and teaches on ecological landscape management and pollination ecology, as well as designs the rare public garden. She is currently Lead Horticulturist for the American Horticultural Society, an Associate with the Harvard Divinity School’s Thinking with Plants and Fungi Initiative, and Consulting Arboretum Curator for Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY. Rebecca spent a decade as Director of Horticulture of Brooklyn Bridge Park, where she managed 85 acres of diverse parkland organically. Their research into cultivating urban biodiversity and ethical management strategies has influenced thousands of people and entire urban parks systems to adopt similar approaches. She has been published by and featured in the New York Times, Gardens Illustrated, on NPR and PBS. Her garden for the Brooklyn Museum recently won the PPA’s Award of Excellence and her TED Talk has been viewed over a million times. She holds M.Sc. from Columbia University and University of Victoria in landscape design and biology and recently completed the Loeb Fellowship at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. This program is presented in partnership with Rooted in Bexley and generously funded by the Bexley Community Foundation and Bexley Community Author Series Fund.

Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid.
