But to entertain such prestigious guests, he needed gardens to match. He entrusted this task to André Le Nôtre. Our stroll will take us through the different areas of these gardens, beginning with the fountains and the Grand Canal. We will then continue through a more rustic and lesser-known section along the Ru de Gally. But the highlight will be the Petit Trianon’s gardens. Un peu avant de se jeter dans la Seine, et comme pour retarder sa disparition, l’Essonne se transforme en un entrelacs de marais et d’étangs, d’îles et de tourbières sur plusieurs kilomètres.
