**More information?** Aber gerne 😌 Continue reading if you want to learn more:
This weekly drawing course is designed **for beginners** and **for everyone who is looking for a systematic refreshment** of their skills.
We take a unique and holistic approach to developping your drawing skills, taking into consideration the interconnectedness of body, mind, and soul. This class is also suitable as an after-work activity to clear your mind and body!
**Why draw?** I like to consider drawing the skeleton or grammar of visual art. It is a precise way to decipher what we see: Drawing asks us to really understand the logic of what we see, to develop a calm hand, a precise gaze, and a logical understanding of shapes and shades.
**Sequence of each session:**
1. We will start by a full-body warm-up exercise...
2. ...followed by a concentration meditation where we practice the skill of guiding our hand to do what our minds want.
3. We then come to the main part of the lesson: Practicing the depiction of particular objects, beings, and settings, while diving into different techniques of applying pencil to paper (*hatching, lines, smudging, creating surfaces*).
Everything we see can be drawn using different approaches. I will teach you all of them, so you can understand which approach fits your individuality best (*grid, eye measurement and angles, measuring with hand and pencil, becoming what you see, drawing as writing*).
4. We will close by sharing our learnings (debrief).
**What to bring:**
🤸♀️ Clothes that allow you to move freely (don't shy away from showing up in sports gear!)
📒 Highly recommended: Bring either an A4 sketchbook, or an A4 sketchpad plus A4 folder to store your drawings in.
✍️ A pencil!
Can't wait to see you there!
Your drawing instructor,
Alice

eigene Instrumente, falls vorhanden
eine Kleinigkeit zu essen (Kekse, Kuchen o. ä.)
Für Getränke ist gesorgt
Und wie immer gilt: Teilnahme auf Spendenbasis
Um die Planung zu erleichtern, melde Dich bitte an unter:

We'll decide together where to go; there's so much to see: the shipping canal, Reuterplatz, churches, Art Nouveau buildings, postmodern architecture, graffiti, and colorful facades, you name it.
The event also provides an opportunity to exchange ideas with others and learn from each other.

New Year's Eve Hike - 14 km from S-Bahn Nikolassee to Drachenberg (5.5 km/h)
The New Year's Eve on Drachenberg last year was so much fun that I am offering this event again this year! We will meet outside the east entrance to Nikolassee S-Bahn station on Alemannenstraße (make sure you don't get the entrances mixed up!) and follow the route through Schlachtensee, Krumme Lanke, Grunewaldsee and Hundekehlefenn. After crossing the railway tracks and the AVUS at the Grunewald S-Bahn station, we will walk through the forest to reach the summit of the Drachenberg. Ideally, we will arrive at the top of the hill at midnight, just in time to see the fireworks lighting up the Berlin sky. At 0.45am, we will start our return journey to Heerstraße S-Bahn station. From there, it's just a five-minute train ride to Savigny Platz station and Schwarzes Café, where I've reserved a table. The café staff are prepared to serve us food and drink until at least 3 am.
While we will have spectacular views on Drachenberg, please also prepare for unpleasant wind and cold. For this part of the event, it would be useful to bring extra coats, windproof jackets, and hot drinks. Sekt and the like is also welcome!
If you need to contact other participants during the hike (for example, to find out where to meet us if you are running late), use the WhatsApp group. (A few hours before the hike, I will privately share the link with all participants to prevent bots from hijacking the group.) For all other purposes, especially socialising and posting photos, please use the Telegram subgroup 'Event Chat & Photos': https://t.me/addlist/KAOk2PA4BDE0ZTY8 .
The hike will take place if at least 6 people sign up. As long as there are more than 6 people, you can sign up and cancel as many times as you like. If there are 6 or less people, please avoid cancelling, as this might make the other participants feel insecure about whether the hike will take place (or whether there is something wrong with the hike and they should cancel as well --> [Matthew effect - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_effect)). If there are less than 6 participants, the hike will also take place unless the majority of the participants are in favor of canceling the hike.

New Year in Romania: Castles, Bisons and Wild Road Trip
Are you tired of the usual expensive and boring New Year's Eve parties? Join us for a unique adventure to start 2026! 🎆
I'm **Francesco**, a biologist and explorer. I have organized a **7-day trip to Romania** (Dec 30 - Jan 6) that combines an authentic Urban NYE with a wild Road Trip into the heart of Transylvania.
**🗺️ THE PLAN**
**PART 1: The Urban Warm-up (Dec 30 - Jan 1)** 📍 **Timișoara:** We will explore the "Little Vienna" of Romania.
* No tourist traps: we’ll hunt for **hidden Jazz Clubs**, drink fresh unpasteurized beer at the factory, and explore the communist history.
* **NYE Night:** We celebrate in the main square with the locals and fireworks, then move to a cool pub to welcome the new year.
**PART 2: Into the Wild Road Trip (Jan 1 - Jan 5)** We pick up our car and head to the mountains! 🚗
* 🦬 **Wildlife:** We’ll track **European Bisons** in the snow at the Hațeg Reserve.
* 🏰 **Gothic Vibes:** Visit **Corvin Castle** (one of the spookiest and most beautiful castles in Europe).
* ❄️ **Snow & Trekking:** Base in **Sibiu** (Medieval city) + a day of accessible winter hiking in **Păltiniș**.
* 🧊 **The Ice Hotel:** Driving the legendary **Transfăgărășan Road** up to the frozen Bâlea Waterfall to see the famous Hotel of Ice.
**👀 WHO IS THIS FOR?** I'm looking for 2-3 chill, open-minded travel buddies (20-40s). If you prefer nature, good conversations, and a snowy adventure over a chaotic disco, you are the perfect fit!
**💰 COSTS & LOGISTICS** I have already arranged the logistics (Car Rental + Itinerary).
* **Style:** Low-cost but smart (Hostels/Guesthouses).
* **Budget:** We share the costs (Fuel/Food) and there is a fixed fee that covers the **Car Rental and Accommodation** for the whole week.

CMG Gives Back: Food Distribution at CHAMPION FOOD PANTRY!
Start the New Year off right! Join us as we get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event to distribute food at the Champion Food Pantry! We’ve created a great little community of Movie Group friends! Rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “Create a better world” by helping serve people in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
CHAMPION FOOD PANTRY: The Champion Food Pantry provides needed food to neighbors experiencing food insecurity. For this event, we’ll be volunteering to help with Food Distribution during client pick up times. Our group will receive on-the-spot training from some of their seasoned regular volunteers.
PLAN FOR CHAMPION FOOD PANTRY: Please arrive by 2:45pm. Our volunteer time will be from 3:00 to 6:00pm.
LOCATION & PARKING: The Champion Food Pantry is located at 1460 S. Champion Ave in Columbus. Parking is located in the lot on Frebis across from the pantry. Please enter through the door marked "Volunteers enter here” on Frebis Ave. A map has been uploaded to the photos.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing the majority of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. No shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will mak you ineligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve.

THANK YOU: This CMG Gives Back event provides an opportunity for YOU to get involved in helping others in our community! But the benefits go well beyond the help we give to others. Volunteering can provide a wide range of personal benefits, including positive effects on mental and physical health, reduced stress/depression/anxiety, increased happiness and improved purpose, life-satisfaction and personal well-being! Plus, the opportunity to get involved, connect with others and help those in need.
PARTNER AGENCY: This event is hosted by Lutheran Social Services (LSS), which serves thousands of people in need each day in 27 Ohio counties by addressing the four core societal issues of food, shelter, safety and healing. LSS offers food through the LSS Food Pantries, housing and supportive services through LSS Faith Mission and LSS Faith Mission of Fairfield County homeless shelters, domestic violence services through LSS CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence, senior living and health care, affordable housing communities, and other services that uplift families and strengthen communities.
Thanks for your help and look forward to seeing you there, Dan
