**About the Session: Morning Renewal**
Settle in for an hour of gentle Yoga Nidra and a morning-light visual meditation designed to help you soften the week behind you and begin again with clarity.
**This practice is designed to help you:**
• Rest your body fully and arrive centred for the day ahead.
• Calm and regulate your nervous system.
• Feel a sense of renewal, spaciousness, and inner steadiness.
**We’ll begin with Yoga Nidra, a guided practice where you simply lie down and allow your body to sink into deep rest.** Often described as the space between waking and dreaming, Yoga Nidra quiets the mind and releases physical tension. There is nothing to perform. You only need to follow my voice as I guide your awareness slowly through the body and breath.
**From there, I’ll lead you into a visual meditation inspired by the softness of early morning light.** Through imagery of warm dawn, gentle illumination, and a quiet inner garden, the practice invites you to release the residue of the week and reconnect with a sense of beginning again. This journey helps dissolve heaviness, clear the mind, and open space for whatever new energy wants to grow in your life.
**No prior experience is needed, just come as you are. Everyone is welcome!** The meditation session is continuously guided by my voice and if you have not tried meditation before - this is a great way to start.
**What to bring?**
* A yoga mat to lie on and a blanket. (If you have forgotten to bring one still come, I will have some extra mats in case 😊)
* A pillow or eye covering if you like extra comfort.
* Warm layers, please wear comfortable clothing (it can get very nippy in the park when lying still. Please rug up 🌿)
**Attending:**
* **If you haven’t RSVP’d and want to come last minute, you’re always welcome to join, the more the merrier! I will have a few mats on hand just in case.** 😊
**Starting set up:**
We’ll start the meditation session at 9am on Sunday.
Coming a little early helps you settle, get comfortable, and land in the space before we begin.
**Running late:**
Please know, if you’re running late, there’s no stress at all. Just join quietly whenever you arrive. You won’t be disrupting anything and your presence is welcome at any point during the session. 😊

**🎒 Bring:** Comfy shoes, water, optional camera or journal
**🧠 Mood:** Gentle, quiet, open to connection but no pressure to talk
8am Hatha Yoga - Breath & Grounding. Free session in Edinborough Gardens, Fitzro
**Hatha Yoga - Breath & Grounding**
**When & Where?**
🗓 **Saturday at 9:00am**

📍 **Edinburgh Gardens, Fitzroy North - behind the Rotunda on the grass**

🌧️ **Weather:**
Outdoor sessions may be cancelled if rain is likely. Please check the event page beforehand.
**About the Session: Hatha Yoga - Breath & Grounding**
This second session focuses on slow, grounding movements and breath-led stability.
It is completely beginner-friendly, with simple shapes and a calm pace that helps you connect inward.
**Breath & Grounding**
**One of the foundations of Hatha yoga is the understanding that breath shapes the state of the mind.**
When the breath is slow, the mind becomes quiet; when the breath is steady, the body feels supported.
**In this session, we focus on grounding - using breath and simple shapes to feel held by the earth beneath us.**
This practice teaches us that steadiness isn’t something we force. It’s something we allow.
We’ll move through slow, supportive postures that help the mind settle and the body drop into a steadier rhythm.
This class is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a soft reset for the nervous system.
We finish with a brief rest to integrate the breath and grounding theme.
**What to Bring**
• Yoga mat
• Warm layers
• Comfortable clothing
• Optional small cushion
(I will have a few extra Mats. please try to bring your own, but Mats available if needed 😊)

So grab a support buddy and come along to our luxe loungeroom hidden away in the 160-year-old bluestone cellars in East Melbourne's Tribeca precinct. We've got great cocktails, back-vintage wines, craft brews, amazing food, and good vibes in a chilled and supportive safe space.
RULES: This is a ticketed event due to limited seating capacity. Your ticket price is offset against any bar drinks and food ordered through the venue on the day (food available from 3PM). Please ensure each piece is less than 5 minutes for those wanting to read. Depending on attendance and number of readers, there may be multiple opportunities to read. No self-promotion allowed but networking after the event is OK.
GETTING THERE: We recommend you use public transport or rideshare. We are on the 12/109 tram line (stop 16, Wellington St), several Bus Routes (302, 303, 304, 305, 309, 318, 350, 905, 906, 907, 908) or a 5-10 minute walk from Jolimont and North Richmond train stations. Extended paid parking is available at Care Park at 162 Albert Street, East Melbourne or the Epworth Freemasons Car Park in Gotch Lane off Grey Street.

What is Human Intelligence?
Please join us this Sunday as we explore the question of Intelligence. This session will be moderated by Glenn. We will meet at the **CAPTAIN MELVILLE**, 34 Franklin St in Melbourne CBD, at 2.00pm for 2.15pm start sharp.
There is no pre-requisite preparation necessary, nor a philosophical background; all that is required is a curious mind. These discussions are both a Socrates Cafe style discussion and lively metaphysical dojo, in the spirit of learning and friendly debate, so please feel free to challenge assumptions and be prepared have your own assumptions challenged!
Find below some questions to consider, however these are free-ranging events and the below serve merely as a springboard towards a deeper discussion in waters unknown...
Some points and questions to consider before the event:
* What is intelligence?
* What are the differences between human, animal and artificial intelligence? Which differences matter?
* Is intelligence best thought of as a capacity, a process or or an outcome?
* Are IQ tests useful? If so, useful for what?
* Is intelligence distinguished from wisdom, creativity or rationality? Why?
* Intelligence is biologically costly. Why do you think we evolved it at all? What problems does it solve?
* Are humans intelligent because of individual brains or cumulative culture?
* In what sense is AI intelligent or not? If it can do intelligent things, should we say its intelligent?
* Is it just that intelligent people are rewarded in the market and society? Are there stupid people? How should they be treated?
Hope to see you there!

The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
