Was hält mich lange gesund?

Berlin Sprachcafé. Learn and practise German easily (A1-A2)
The Language Café is primarily aimed at people who are struggling with their mental health which can make it hard to go to regular courses. We want to create a safe space for everyone to learn and practise without pressure. Everyone is welcome! Please try to be on time so we can all get started together :)
We mainly practise on a beginner/lower intermediate level and adapt to everyone's prior level of German.
The Language Café will focus on teaching you the most important words and phrases and basic grammar in German. The content of the course is adapted to real life. (everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other.
The Sprachcafé is for free.
\*If you cannot make it please cancel your participation so someone else from the waiting list can join, thank you!\*

**Confessionals: Writing Through Shame and Fear of Being Seen by Djibril Sall**
**[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/writing-circle/w08-2026/)**
For **LGBTQIA+**
This writing workshop is an invitation to work with confession as a practice of release—something that you do for yourself and not under an authority. Together, we’ll use writing to move through shame and the fear of being seen, transforming what has been held tightly or silently into something you can shape, hold, and let go of. This is a space for experimentation, care, and risk, where confession becomes a tool for self-recognition rather than self-erasure.
**Words and stories reside within all of us, waiting to be discovered.**
Our monthly Open Writing Circle invites people with all levels of writing experience to explore their creativity and imagination.
In each session, one of Berlin’s many exceptional writers, poets, artists, or curators will create a vibrant and collective learning experience.
Whether you’re interested in fiction, memoir, non-fiction, or poetry, this supportive space encourages you to uncover the words within you. We’ll draw upon techniques used in writing workshops to unleash your innate talent in a collaborative environment that will allow for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights.
This workshop aims to create an affirming, playful and empowering space for queer people to explore, express and celebrate their identities as well as to provide a platform for the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community to be shared, heard and valued.
**Biba Oskar Nass** (they/them), a trans boy and wordsmith, writes prose and poetry as a freelance artist. In their work, they address queer history and remembrance. Biba Oskar Nass is also a workshop host and co-publishes the queer literary magazine Transcodiert, among other texts.
**General information**
**Level**: No previous experience is necessary.
**Language**: while the group is primarily conducted in English, you are welcome to write in any language you feel comfortable with.

### 🐻 How it Works
This evening features a blend of **curated stories** (selected in advance) and our signature **Open Stage**.
On stage, everyday people from Berlin share true, personal stories, told live and without notes. No acting. No fiction. Just real experiences, shared in a warm, cozy atmosphere.
You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to be “into storytelling.”
**Just come, listen, and be part of the room.**
**🔥 What to expect**
• 8 short, true stories (about 5–7 minutes each)
• Live music throughout the night
• A relaxed, welcoming audience
• Laughter, honesty, and moments of quiet connection
**We start as strangers — and often leave feeling a little closer.**
**Want to tell a story?** Put your name in the hat! We’ll draw names randomly throughout the night. If you’re a newcomer, don’t worry—we love first-time voices and offer supportive coaching to help you find your hook.
**Audience Question:** *Who is a woman you’ll never forget, and how did she change the way you see the world?*
## **Our Mission**
## *THE BEAR* **has grown into one of Berlin’s most beloved live storytelling events: a place where strangers become a community through the simple act of listening.**

Was erwartet Dich?
\- erste heilsame Schritte gehen
Was wird passieren?
Let's get creative in Berlin! Intuitiv malend seinen Farbimpulsen folgen.

RSVP on Luma: [https://luma.com/70bh22dl?utm_source=Meetup](https://luma.com/70bh22dl?utm_source=Meetup)
Silent Reading / Creating Club is a gathering for people who enjoy focusing together in public.
Bring a book, a notebook, a sketchpad, knitting needles, whatever you’d like to spend a quiet hour doing. All projects and all participants are welcome.
This year is about creating more, quietly, consistently, and imperfectly. We're fostering an environment that supports that. If you’re building something of your own, you’re especially welcome here.
We’re building a community of readers and creators who value depth, presence, and shared silence. The magic isn’t just in the quiet hour — it’s in the people who return and make it feel like a familiar room.
(Please RSVP “yes” only if you can make it, so we can save a seat for you and others on the waitlist.)
This quiet ritual unfolds at **W66 Café**.
There’s no entrance fee, but please order at least one item from the café and don’t bring outside drinks 🙂

• If using technology, please avoid meetings or audio (headphones please!)
• Arrive before 11:00 if possible to minimize disruptions
Silent Reading Club
Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better!
It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading.
The usual agenda:
- Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes)
- Silent reading (~1 hour)
- Discussion (~30-40 minutes)
- Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like!
You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you!
No registration needed – the event is donation based. All funds support the Offenes Wohnzimmer.
Women’s Book Club: The Left Hand of Darkness - Ursula K. LeGuin
This week we are discussing **The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. LeGuin**
We look forward to seeing you!
Please remember to cancel your participation in good time if you are not coming. This will give someone else enough time to read the book and come to the meeting.
If you have book suggestions, would like to vote on our next reads, or join us for additional activities, please ask someone at the meeting to add you to our WhatsApp group.

**Neukolln's favorite (by popular vote) comedy club East-West Comedy presents the new, topical show all about love & dating f\*ckups! In Berlin, you don't know who to hate the most: emotionally dead weirdos you meet online, people who refuse to pay the asking price for your feet pictures on OnlyFans, or the smug, preachy couples they form when they find each other. Is there any actual hope? Nah. But there are funny stories to tell to your closest friends (or to a room full of drunk strangers for money). 4 experienced comedians from USA, UK, Europe, Asia and more, will possibly kill your last remnants of hope - but promise you'll have helluva fun in the process.**

In person peer-led support group for survivors of complex trauma
**Complex Trauma Support Group**
Our group is intended for survivors of complex trauma. If you are here, it’s likely that so much of who you are and what you have experienced in this life is actually invisible to most people––to family, society, coworkers, and the people who are around you.
We are a peer-led group of survivors creating opportunities for ourselves and others to share our experiences, share support, and build relationships in kind community together. Survivor experiences might include: child sexual abuse, incest, child trafficking, and other experiences of people living with traumatic dissociation and complex PTSD.
**What to expect at your first meeting:**
Currently, we are offering a bi-monthly in person group at 2:00pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. The only criterion for joining the group is that you are a survivor of trauma wishing to have more kindness in your own life and share kindness with others, and that you agree to practice to group’s relational agreements available for view here: https://www.kindgroups.com/agreements. Joining the group is free of charge.
We ask that new people connect with us for 30 minutes on the phone or on zoom before coming to their first group, so that we can determine together that we are a good fit.
Our meetings last approximately 90 minutes. Participants are never required to share. You’re also welcome to choose a pseudonym and you will never be asked for private information. You are welcome to leave at any time.
The kindness that survivors can share when among others who have survived similar childhood experiences is something we rarely get to experience. Time spent with others who understand even a little bit more about us is a relief. Our hope is to help ourselves and others experience that we are not alone. We wish for our efforts to be a cause of kindness in our own lives and the lives of each other.
You can read more about the groups at www.kindgroups.com.

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
