Meaningful Conversations: Reducing Suffering
Meaningful Conversations: Reducing Suffering
**A Gentle Space for Inner Freedom (A special Meaningful Conversations event)** Viktor Frankl wrote that even in the most difficult circumstances, one inner freedom remains: the freedom to choose how to react to any given situation. This event begins in that space. Pain and challenging situations are part of being human. Life brings loss, sadness, the feeling of injustice, the sense of not being good enough, change, uncertainty, and limitation — often without explanation and without choice. This gathering is an invitation to pause, to step out of inner struggle for a moment, and to meet life as it is — with dignity and clarity. Through shared reflections and gentle guidance, the event opens a space where psychological clarity and spiritual depth can be practically experienced rather than just explained. A calm, respectful space to stop, listen, and reconnect with what remains steady and free, even when life is not. **This event is especially for you if you’re new to Dieter Langenecker’s work —** **Or if you’d like to reconnect with it.** It also offers a natural entry point into **the monthly Meaningful Conversations**, A gentle, ongoing space for staying connected to what truly matters And to live with greater depth and contentment. Tanja Odermatt & Dieter Langenecker PS: A contribution of € 15,- for room rent, coffee/tea, and cookies will be collected. **Watch this short video:** https://youtu.be/In8dqdxpCF4

Fun Workout + Brunch
Fun Workout + Brunch
-Indoor Functional Training (All Levels) followed by Brunch!- Come for the sweat, stay for the nourish & chill! Once a month, on the first Saturday of the month, we combine our awesome, fun workout with some brunching! In the winter, we are graciously hosted by Superbude Wien Prater. After our fun functional training, we'll drift over to Café Brenner (also part of Superbude), find a spot to chill and enjoy the awesome location a bit longer. A nice chance to connect with the other lovely people that worked out with us and eat a little. They have all day breakfast!!! There is no obligation to stay after the workout, but of course, you are very welcome to! As always at My Pace, we'll bring our unique blend of playful and mindful elements to give you your fundamentally different functional training! If this is your first My Pace workout, expect HIIT, strength training with your own bodyweight and absolutely no seriousness! A reminder for those nervous about their fitness level: Everything we do, we do with all fitness levels in mind; so the exercises are always adjustable to your level and you’re always strongly encouraged to take it at your own pace! Infobox: • We meet and train in the event location of the Superbude Hotel called Transponder (if you are standing in front of the main entrance of the hotel, before going in, look to your right and we'll be the next door down) • You can always get in touch with Jason at +436802355041 (SMS or WhatsApp work best) or email us at office@mypace.at if you have any questions or need assistance (German or English) • We highly recommend bringing a water bottle! Plus it's kind of disrespectful to everyone else joining! • By participating in any My Pace workout, you confirm having read and understood the General Terms and Conditions as set out at https://www.mypace.at/legal-stuff and agree to be bound by them.
Tango Immersion Weekend: Musicality edition · Workshop 1: You and the music
Tango Immersion Weekend: Musicality edition · Workshop 1: You and the music
Musicality begins before dancing with a partner. **In this workshop we explore how rhythm and musical structure can be felt directly in the body.** Through playful exercises and movement exploration, you'll develop tools to respond to music more naturally. This session will be co-taught with Thomas Franz-Riegler, multi-instrumentalist musician bringing perspectives from embodied rhythm, improvisation and creative play. **Suitable for both roles and all levels.** **No partner required.** Zentrum Exist, Sechshauser Str. 36-38, 1150 Wien \*\*\*\*\* **About this Tango Immersion Weekend** If your tango feels like counting steps instead of interacting with the music and your dance partner, this [Tango Immersion Weekend](https://www.jessicagerdel.com/tangoimmersion) is for you. We'll focus on the foundations that allow you to translate what you hear into what you dance, in a practical, embodied way. Instead of starting from the usual Tango-Vals-Milonga approach for this topic, we'll explore something often overlooked: the different styles within Tango Argentino itself. Have you noticed each orchestra invites a different quality of movement, timing and presence? That's why we don't dance to every tango the same way, and why simply copying steps rarely works. Across this [Tango Immersion Weekend](https://www.jessicagerdel.com/tangoimmersion/#program): * Our **Tango Essentials Lab** for all levels will help you ground perception, timing, weight transfers and presence, because musicality depends on fundamentals and embodiment (well, what doesn't?). * **4 workshops** that combine individual and partner work invite you to explore how different Tango styles can live in your body. * Our **Focused Práctica** supports you to integrate discoveries and receive feedback (yes, it's literally a space to practice, no Milonga dynamic). * Our **Milonga Itinerante** is back! Now longer, at a new wonderful location, and on a monthly basis. Join a welcoming space where learning meets what really matters: social dancing and tango friendship time. This will be a special edition! Get ready to play! The first person who discovers what makes this one special gets a prize. **If you've been waiting for your dance to feel less mechanical and more like a conversation with the music, this is the right moment.** Join us to learn how to listen, choose and respond to musical impulses so your tango becomes adaptable, playful and alive. As usual in Jessica's classes, you're welcome to join with or without a dance partner and to dance both roles. **You can register for the full weekend (and get free access to the Milonga) or single workshops, Práctica and/or Milonga, as you feel called.** **You're welcome alone, with a dance partner, or friends.** Per workshop €25 Full Weekend (5 workshops + Practice session + Milonga) €140 Participants of 2 or more workshops get free entry to the Milonga Partial scholarships are available for young students and people with low income. Use the coupon code U30 at checkout [on the website](jessicagerdel.com/tangoimmersion) or reach out to Jessica. Spread the word and get ready to dance it all! Social Book Club - Science Fiction Circle 🪐
Social Book Club - Science Fiction Circle 🪐
Heyho and welcome to our cozy Science Fiction Circle which is part of the Social Book Club! We meet every month to discuss one book (or short story). This time we read the hard science fiction novel **"Echopraxia" (2014)** by the Canadian author **Peter Watts**, sequel of the book "Blindsight", which we already discussed in November. It's not necessary to have read the first part, but it helps to understand some concepts that are not explained in the second. Anyway please read at least "Echopraxia" before the book club, to follow the discussion. We meet at IKEA Westbahnhof at JOE&JOE'S in the 5th floor. Drinks and some food can be bought there.
Tango Immersion Weekend: Tango Argentino Essentials Lab
Tango Immersion Weekend: Tango Argentino Essentials Lab
Join us today for a guided session to prepare your body for musical tango. In this workshop we'll work with posture, axis, weight transfer, timing and coordination: the physical foundations that make musical choices possible in the dance. **Suitable for both roles and all levels.** A great way to arrive, warm up and ground your movement before the rest of the [Tango Immersion](https://www.jessicagerdel.com/tangoimmersion) Weekend's workshops. **No partner required.** Zentrum Exist, Sechshauser Str. SELBST.BEWUSST.AUFTRETEN - Present Yourself with Confidence
Do you love working on your personal growth to bring out the very best in yourself? Is your German level at B1 or higher? Then you are more than welcome to join my upcoming workshop! In a small and supportive group, we will track down the obstacles that still prevent you from shining. You will learn to set clear boundaries and defend yourself with confidence in challenging situations against intrusive or demeaning behavior. This workshop is held in German. But if necessary, some important information can be given in English, too. **Registration/ Anmeldung** in Meet-Up oder direkt im Nachbarschaftszentrum 15, **+43 1 512 36 61 3500** **nbz15@wiener.hilfswerk.at**

Run+B-fast
Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows, Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us! Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast! Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45. We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier. Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup. Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz

Projects that are over budget, delayed, or that fail to scale past the POC phase are very common. In many of these scenarios, choosing the right approach can be as critical as the solution itself. Should you build a tailored machine learning model, leverage the power of large language models (LLMs), or integrate with AI copilots? Each option has unique strengths, trade-offs, and resource requirements, and the key to success lies in aligning your choice with your business goals and technical constraints. In this talk, we will go beyond the basic concepts and definitions to provide a practical guide that allows attendees to navigate these decisions through real-world case studies. We will examine scenarios in which different AI paradigms were chosen, discuss the factors that influenced those decisions, and outline the process for evaluating needs, constraints, and outcomes. From assessing data availability and team expertise to balancing cost and scalability, you'll gain insights into the critical considerations that guide the selection process. By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear process for determining whether machine learning, LLMs, or copilots are best suited to your AI challenges and understand the resources and strategies needed to bring your chosen solution to life. This talk is ideal for decision-makers, technical leads, and innovators seeking to demystify AI implementation and maximize the impact of their investments.

Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
Men's Group meetup
Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group. 2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up. 4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.
