Hand Dancing Classes at Prince George's Community College
This PGCC Hand Dance class is taught by the "7" Step Hand Dance Academy. The "7" Step Hand Dance Academy is a non-profit organization, dedicated to teaching, preserving, and promoting the African American art form of D.C. Hand Dancing. If you have ever wanted to learn how to hand dance, come join us. Not only will have fun learning how to hand dance, but you will make new friends in the process!
This is a 8-week course. The dates for the session are 1/17/2026 - 3/7/2026.
* **Beginner** Class: 10am - 11:30am
* **Intermediate** Class: 11:30am - 1:00pm
Remember to wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can turn or slide in, otherwise, you can bring socks to wear over your shoes. NO PARTNER is required.

Weâre excited to share that the Embassy of India is hosting a vibrant Holi Festival celebration at Dupont Circle Park â and weâre looking forward to attending this colorful event together as a group!

In collaboration with the Embassy of India, this celebration will honor Indiaâs most colorful holiday with:

Friday Bouldering at Bouldering Project - DC

The first 25 climbers who come in through the doors get in for free, after that you'll pay $15 for a day pass. Rental shoes and chalk bag is provided free of charge.
If this is your first time using Bouldering Project-DC facility consider taking the Intro to BP that starts 7:15PM and includes a tour of the facility.

Please join us for our fun and friendly monthly VSDC Vegan Potluck in NW DC, near (but not at) Hip City Veg on 7th St, on Sunday, March 8th. It will start at 12 pm and go until 3 pm. There is no charge to attend the event but you will be expected to bring vegan food or drink to share.
***\*\*Note: you must provide your 1st and last name plus your contact email to receive the specific location. If you do not, then you will not be provided the location and allowed to this event - NO EXCEPTIONS.\*\****
**Items to bring to the potluck:**

Hike Turkey Run Park (Easy/Moderate) â Pho Lunch
ike Turkey Run Park- Pho Lunch, VA Sunday March 8
With winter weather receding, this is a great way to fight cabin fever and head back outside with views of the Potomac. This is a 3 to 4 mile loop hike along the Potomac River just below the American Legion bridge off the GW parkway. The trail is mostly easy and flat, but there are some slightly rocky areas. Be aware that this time of year where segments along the river can be muddy and there are some rocky areas we must maneuver around.
Bring a mascot! The park is dog-friendly, but must be on a leash.

Join the **Columbus Vegan Meetup** for a night of great food and even better high notes! Weâre heading to **Basil Thai Cafe** for a feast, followed by karaoke right at the bar.

Pot Luck at the Office!
Inspired by our successful events like "Saturday Mornings @ East Market" and other "Pot Luck in the Park" lunches, this gathering promises to be a blend of fun conversations, language exchange, and cultural insights, all while sharing wonderful foods with each other.
Please bring a dish to share and anything you would like to drink.
We will provide plates, plastic silverware and napkins.
