Come for another casual gathering and chat with peers in the software & technology community. Bring your smile and relax with a refreshing drink. **Concept** 🍻 It works simple: 1. feel free to arrive and leave at any time during the event 2. get yourself a drink at the bar or convenience store 3. say hi to someone in the group and chat away. **How to find us?** 👀 Bart/Stephen usually wear something that is easy to spot in a crowd. Often it's a bright coloured t-shirt or something orange themed. Have a look at past photos of meetups to recognise him. Moreover, we usually stand close to the bar. **Venue** 📍 **The Beer Bay** is an **outdoor kiosk/bar**, situated at the walkway between the Central Ferry Piers, at the ground level **entrance of Central Ferry Pier #4** (to Lamma Island). There's plenty of space to stand, and various places to get drinks. Usually lots of people in conversation, and an overall casual and relaxed atmosphere. In summer it can get hot and sweaty, and winter a bit cold, but drinks are refreshing and nothing beats that skyline! **Toilets** 🚻 There is a public toilet at the end of the piers near pier 2, or you could walk to the IFC shopping mall nearby. **Drinks** 🍺🍷🍹🥤 The Beer Bay serves refreshing alcoholic drinks, such as cold drafts, wine and plenty of mixers too. There are also non-alcoholic options from other stands and convenience stores around as well. See you on Friday June 29!

***July is National Picnic Month*** (along with National Hot Dog/Baked Beans/Ice Cream Month)! So let's do it up by joining a giant PICNIC celebrating America's 250th Birthday! Join us at Wyandotte Winery for an **America 250–Ohio Homecoming Picnic as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States in true Ohio style!** Throughout July 2026, communities across Ohio are gathering for food, fun, and friendship to honor our nation’s history and reflect on the contributions of Ohioans over the past 250 years. Open Shelter has teamed up again with Red White and Boom! Friday, July 3rd & we are looking for volunteers to run the event’s alcohol booths. Proceeds from sales go to the Open Shelter’s organization. There are two available shifts: 12-6p & 5-11p. There will be an ipad-like device to process transactions in addition to cash. Everything will be in bottles or cans, so transactions should be very easy. Must be 21+. There are multiple beverage stations along the Civic Center Bridge. The stations are covered and also have beverage trucks next to them, so volunteers can cool off in the trucks. As far as parking, it is suggested those who are coming from the east use the Columbus Commons Garage, and those from the west use the Belle Street Garage.
