Shuffle/Cutting Shapes Class - Choreo
This is a **shuffle**/**cutting shapes** class for **beginner** and **intermediate** shufflers where we'll be learning a **choreo** and practise it to various speeds.
**Beginner shufflers** will get the chance to learn some basic steps and practice them stress-free in a short choreo.
**Intermediate shufflers** will learn to vary these basic steps with additional leg and arm movements, learn to combine them in new ways, keep practicing their foundations, and try to integrate the new combos into their freestyle.
If you're a complete beginner and wanna try some basic moves by yourself before the class, you can watch this video on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xOAJA598uk But you don't have to - don't worry and come just by!
**What you need to bring with you:**
**Shoes**: If you'd prefer not to shuffle in socks, please bring a pair of dedicated clean athletic shoes with white soles.
**Water**: because Shuffling is like an intense cardio workout :)
**Fee**: 10€ (in cash or paypal **after** the event) to cover the cost of the rent, because we're not doing it for profit.
Teacher: Ina
P.S. You're welcome to join our Telegram group where we share choreos, combos, music, etc. https://t.me/joinchat/73TM5UceauA5YmQy
P.P.S. Classes at Milastr. 4 take place every Friday! Two times a month they're done by me and two times - by Ella, who has a completely different teaching style. You're welcome to choose or learn with us both ☺️
Spieltreff in Kreuzberg (Nachbarschaftshaus Urban)
We play any kind of board and card games. Most of them are german or language neutral games.
It doesn't matter if you are casual or core player. The main thing is to meet and have fun.
Bring your own game or choose one of about 150 games we have on site. You want to play a certain game you don't own, ask Björn (spielfest-berlin@email.de) if he can bring it or ask in the comments.
Please RSVP if you like to come. It makes things way easier to organize, if we know how big the boardgame-enjoying-crowd gonna be.
If the front door is locked, call Björn 0049157 746 300 78 or someone named on the door sign.
Entrance is 3€ and can be paid on-site (prepay is not possible).
There will be snacks, tee, coffee and soft drinks for little money as well. Of course you can bring your own food/drinks as well.
No Animals allowed.
Try our discord channel to chat and find other players.

Crossroads: East and West
After the success and satisfaction of the first meeting of this group two weeks ago, I am glad to announce the second meetup.
For this second meeting, our initial topic of discussion will be about The History of the connection of philosophies, sciences and arts between the West and the East.
We'll start with short introductions from everyone attending.
The focus will be on historical, scientific and philosophical discussion rather than contemporary political debate

**Mandarin Learner Meetup in Berlin! *(Free resources below)***
**Learning Mandarin is like trying to tame a** 🐲**.**
It can feel frustrating, but you’re not alone. **[WeHanzi](wehanzi.com)** is here to support!
**[WeHanzi](wehanzi.com)** is an independently built iOS app created by Ben and Gina.
We've turned the entire learning experience into ***Comprehensible Input* through both simplified and traditional manga** with support for **Zhuyin**, **Pinyin**, **flashcards**, **audio**, **direct translation**, an integrated dictionary.
We also specifically design region-specific language to reflect real-life usage in both **mainland Chinese Mandarin** and **Taiwanese Mandarin**, allowing you to naturally compare and explore the differences between the two, so you don’t end up saying something that makes perfect sense in Beijing, but gets you funny looks in Taipei 😏.
Now, together with our good friend Matthias from **[Gemeinsam Chinesisch & Deutsch lernen](https://www.meetup.com/gemeinsam-mandarin-chinesisch-und-deutsch-lernen/events/308204343/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events),** we’re inviting you to our very first **in-person Mandarin Learner Meetup in Berlin** together!
All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced learners. Just come hang out, share your stories, laugh at our tone mistakes! As a community, we can learn from each other and turn Mandarin into a piece of cake! 🍰
**Come and join us!**

**📍ABOUT THE MEETING SPOT**
Please note that we will meet HERE, on the 3 wooden tree benches slightly left of the main entrance gate of Tempelhofer Feld:
We'll meet at the meeting spot first and then - depending on the weather - decide as a group to either walk around Tempelhofer Feld or go to a closeby restaurant to warm up and chat. So please be on time. Or if you are running late or can't find us, just give Matthias a call on 0176-21984345.
See you all soon,
Gina & Matthias

**Relax. Connect. Create. ☕**
After a full week of work, meetings, study sessions and life in fast-forward, it’s time to slow down. Join us this Saturday afternoon in Berlin for a relaxed coffee hang-out where this week's agenda is good company & warm drinks. You're also invited to bring some boardgames, drawing/coloring materials (I will bring an adult coloring book)
**What’s the plan?**
We’ll meet in a cosy spot, draw, chat about everything and nothing, swap stories and simply enjoy the moment. No pressure. No formalities. Just a bunch of friendly people sharing a Saturday coffee.
**Who’s welcome?**
Everyone! Whether you’re a Berliner born and raised, newly arrived in the city, from Germany or abroad, if you like meeting open-minded folks and spending some relaxed time—come join us.
**When & how?**
Saturday afternoon. Detailed time and place in our Telegram group.
➡️ Join us on Telegram: [https://t.me/berlinsaturdaycoffee](https://t.me/berlinsaturdaycoffee)
Hop in, say hello, and we’ll share the final details.
**Why join?**
* Because you deserve a break.
* Because you enjoy being creative.
* Because you enjoy boardgames
* Because meeting new people sparks fresh energy.
* Because coffee tastes even better when shared.
* Because Saturday afternoons were made for this.
Respect and Safety:
There is always at least one organizer present at every meetup. If you ever feel unsafe or bothered by someone’s behavior, you can reach out to an organizer privately. Your identity will remain confidential, your concern will be taken seriously, and no inappropriate behavior is tolerated — anyone making others feel uncomfortable will be removed from the group immediately.
We hope to see you there. Bring yourself, your smile, drawing materials, your stories—or just your comfy self.
Let’s make Saturday a little more laid-back, a little more social and a lot more nice.
See you soon!

Wild garlic pesto - Berliner Lauch
A four year running tradition: We meet near S Treptower Park, walk to Plänterwald and collect wild garlic to make our own Pesto.

Saturday Mornings @ East Market
Let's grab some coffee/food and share a morning chat! The East Market has an ample parking lot and outdoor and indoor seating.
Grab a cup of coffee from Winston's Coffee & Waffles or on your way to East Market and meet us on the second floor - table behind or east of the elevator.
Per what this group is about:
"Everyone is welcome! International transplants to Columbus who want to improve language skills, Columbus residents who enjoy talking to people from other countries, and those who would like to discuss international travel and culture, and who enjoy getting together for good conversations."
Meet us at "Avocado Latin Food"
Inspired by the successful events like "Pot Luck in the Park" and "Saturday Mornings @ East Market," this meetup promises a fun and engaging atmosphere where like-minded individuals can connect over a shared love for languages and cultures. Whether you're a language learner, ESL student, or simply passionate about exploring new cultures, this event is perfect for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a diverse and welcoming community. Come join us for an enlightening evening of language, culture, food, of course, and connections!
(Everyone will individually choose from the menu and pay for their own meal.)
Let's try a Friday Night Fish Fry!
We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM.
It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
Hofbräuhaus [ Thursday 6:00 ]
The aim of this group is to get together and practice our German. Doesn’t matter if are a beginner or a native speaker. The goal is to speak and improve our German. Everyone is welcome!
If the weather is good, look for us in the Biergarten.
Pro Tip: Get there before 6:00 for happy hour pricing.
Pot Luck in the Park!
Inspired by our successful events like "Saturday Mornings @ East Market" and other "Pot Luck in the Park" lunches, this gathering promises to be a blend of fun conversations, language exchange, and cultural insights, all while sharing wonderful foods with each other.
Please bring a dish to share and anything you would like to drink.
We will provide plates, plastic silverware and napkins.
So, come hungry and ready to chat!
Note: Since the weather is unpredictable in April, we have a couple of places in mind for the Pot Luck. We have reserved a room in the Dublin Library from 1-2:30 PM for the meal, if necessary. \* But if the weather is nice on April 12th, we are planning to meet in Bridge Park, possibly in the covered shelter area at 12:00 Noon. We will update the details closer to the date of the Pot Luck but wanted to get this out to everyone so that you can make plans for that day.
Morning people unite!! 🐤 ☕ + 💬 @ Crimson Cup Coffee Shop - Clintonville
Early-bird coffee and conversation at [Crimson Cup Coffee Shop - Clintonville](https://www.crimsoncup.com/about/location/clintonville)!
Conversacion en español (en persona)
While some are still meeting online, this is an in person event. Please note that we have attendees of all levels of speaking, including some native speakers. All are welcome!
Also, as we meet at the same time and place each week, many don’t RSVP on the app, so we will likely have more attendees than noted here.
Note: if you are asked to pay and upgrade the Meetup app, this is not necessary. You can ignore this and still attend our meetings.
