Ladies Only: Goal Focus & Accountability Session đŻđđ
đŻGoal Focus & Flow is a casual, women only event created for deep focus, intentional progress, and genuine connection.đ
Bring whatever youâre currently working on, studying, planning, writing, researching, job searching, creative projects, or personal goals and spend focused time working independently while surrounded by other women doing the same. The energy is calm, supportive, and rooted in mutual growth.
At the end of the session, weâll do a brief, optional share where participants can talk about what they worked on and what they learned. Sharing insights helps reinforce learning, spark ideas for others, and turn individual progress into collective knowledge.
This space is intentionally designed to help women:
đŻ Stay accountable to their goals
â
Learn from one another in an organic, low-pressure way
đ§ Retain what theyâre working on by reflecting and sharing
đŻââď¸ Build friendships while growing side by side
The shared focus and reflection create a natural sense of connection, allowing friendships to form through growth rather than small talk.
Location note:
For womenâs safety and comfort, the venue will not be shared publicly. The exact location will be shared privately in the group chat with confirmed attendees. Join the group chat here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/H533SlZi8h70XjkN6iSEws
Come as you are. Work at your own pace. Leave with clarity, momentum, and the feeling that youâre not growing alone.

PLEASE RSVP if you are coming - we have to make a reservation. Please do not RSVP and then not come.
However usually there are more people than the number that RSVP. So don't think there will be too few people.

La Chandeleur!
All, it is that time of year. Ground Hog day in the US, Badger Day in Germany and Candlemas to Catholics...La Chadeleur in France celebrated countrywide with Crepes. Come read the weather guides and make your own crepes.
Sweet crepes obviously, maybe a few galettes. I will provide sweet and savory crepe batter. Please let us know what you will be bringing either as a filling for the crepes or a beverage of choice. Cidre bouche is the traditional drink of choice.
And if you can flip your crepe one handed while holding a coin you are in for a year of good fortune!

¡ How to Talk to Girls at Parties ¡ by John Cameron Mitchell @ Duncan Library
Our second Oddball Adventure follows a teenage boyâs unexpected experience over the course of two days in the London borough of Croydon. Heâs a fan of punk music, and after a good old head-banging session at a local club, he and his two buddies wander around until they happen upon a house where a party is in progress. They knock, and to their surprise theyâre invited inside where strange characters are dancing to strange music. Despite the weird atmosphere, the protagonist is attracted to a girl whoâs never heard of punk rock and wants to learn about it. The pair run off into the night for an escapade of cosmic proportions.

Contra dance with Big Scioty on Feb. 7 - First Congregational Church
**Caller: Dan Kappus**
**Band: Trillium**
**Big Scioty Contra Dance**
**temporarily returning to our long ago location for Jan-March - First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad St., Columbus 43215**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like youâve seen in period films such as âPride and Prejudiceâ, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. Thatâs English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like âswing your partnerâ and âdo-si-do,â like youâve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alĂĄ âRiverdance.â Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THATâs Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.

Please bring your own refillable water bottle. Snacks to share are always welcome!

Astra Rooftop
Hello everyone!
For our first dinner together, weâre keeping things low-key and casual. Take a look at the menu and let us know what you think we want this to be easy, relaxed, and enjoyable for everyone.
Quick housekeeping note: many restaurants require most of the party to be present before seating. No-shows impact the entire group, so if someone repeatedly commits and doesnât show more than once, weâll have to remove you from future dinners to keep things fair and smooth for everyone.
Looking forward to a great night and even better conversations đ˝ď¸â¨
