If you would like to bring your own then that is welcomed otherwise the coach will have sufficient quantity for each participant. • What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen and condition the whole body. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of a experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals. • Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Glories. We will be located between the big white circle and the grassy area. Just look out for me in my blue PB:Running top. • When is it? - Strength and conditioning classes take place on a Monday evening 7.30pm (Park Ciutadella),Tuesday evening at 6.30pm (Park Glories), and Wednesday evening at 7 pm (Park Barceloneta). • Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 28 years. For 14 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon. **This class is Free\! \| Esta clase es Gratuita\!** **No previous experience is required.** \| **No se requiere experiencia previa.** \- La descripción en español se encuentra en la parte inferior \- **This is a Beginner level Parkour class** however, Intermediate and Advanced traceurs are also welcome to join, as we adapt the exercises to the ablities of each individual. In broad terms Parkour is about overcoming obstacles, both physically and mentally. In this class you will learn and drill the fundamentals of Parkour. Each class will be a full body workout, using only your own weight. We will work on improving our strength, mobility, flexibility and endurance. We do this by running, jumping, climbing and balancing. The workouts take place in an urban environments: on flat ground with obstacles, walls, edges and railings. Wear multiple layers of clothes so you can adjust as you get warmer/cool off. Minimum age for this class is 18 years old. Instruction are in English and basic Spanish. Wear comfortable clothes and sports shoes, recommeded to bring water. \-\-\-\- En términos generales, el Parkour consiste en superar obstáculos, tanto física como mentalmente. **En esta clase aprenderás y practicarás los fundamentos del Parkour.** Cada clase será un entrenamiento de todo el cuerpo, utilizando sólo tu propio peso. Trabajaremos para mejorar nuestra fuerza, movilidad, flexibilidad y resistencia. Lo haremos corriendo, saltando, trepando y haciendo equilibrios. Los entrenamientos tienen lugar en un entorno urbano: en terreno llano con obstáculos, paredes, bordes y barandillas. Lleva varias capas de ropa para poder ajustarte a medida que entres en calor o te enfríes. La edad mínima para esta clase es de 18 años. Las clases se imparten en inglés y español básico. Acondicionamiento 2. **Nei Gong** 3\. Forma 108 \(encuadre largo\) para fortalecer elásticamente piernas y demás\. 4\. Aplicación y familiarización con la fuerza **Jin**. 5\. Meditación y Enfriamiento Nota: Es un arte marcial. Las clases duran 1h30, no son para fluir, se corrigen errores y son bastante exigentes, **tendrás que empujar** suavemente a tus compañer@s **y ser empujado**, para ganar una **comprensión profunda** de lo que sino sería solo teoria. So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels.
