Walk length 2 miles/3.2 km approx. Linear. A walk tracing some of the history of Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury from elegant squares to curious taverns, with a Bohemian twist. This short walk follows a history trail from Warren Street Underground down to Holborn underground, visiting places such as Fitzroy and Bloomsbury Square and the origins of the areas wealth to the sights of the more modern BT Tower, and finally some of the pubs and places frequented by people that gave the area its artistic and radical legacy plus many other other historical gems with a bit of Jack the Ripper thrown in!. Starting from Warren Street Underground the walk finishes near Holborn where we can go for optional drinks. Meet outside Warren Street Underground Station (Northern Line) from 2.45pm the walk to start at 3.00pm, the walk finishes close to Holborn Underground around 5.00pm. After our hot drink at 11.15 am, we will make or way to The Brixton Windmill {as image above} this windmill is one of the few left in London.
