Welcome to our weekly physical or virtual Club Polyglotte meeting. * As usual, a minimum consumption of one drink or something small to eat is obligatory at Restaurant Quai Steffen at 13, Place de la gare at the Luxembourg railway station. * We start our get together at 19:00 h and finish at 22:00 h. As on every Tuesday, participate at one of the following language tables: 1. English 2. French 3. Luxemburgish 4. German 5. Spanish 6. Italian or languages like Mandarin, Russian, Romanian or Arabic, if needed. Dieser Vortrag zeigt anhand umfassender Benchmarks von DuckDB, Polars und Pandas mit Datensätzen von wenigen Gigabyte bis zu mehreren Terabyte, wie Ausführungsmodelle, Dateiorganisation und Speicherverwaltung die Performance beeinflussen. DuckDB liefert konstant niedrigen Speicherverbrauch, Polars erreicht durch Parallelisierung hohe Geschwindigkeiten – doch sobald mehrere Engines „schnell genug" sind, zählt Flexibilität. Viele der Muster erfreuen sich heute großer Beliebtheit und es sind eine Menge von Patterns dazugekommen, nicht nur auf Design-, sondern auch auf Architektur- und Organisationsebene. Join us for a beautiful hike along Nat’Our Route 6, one of the premium trails of the NaturWanderPark Delux in the Luxembourg–Germany border region. This scenic route takes us through peaceful forests, rolling hills, and protected natural areas in the Our valley. A large part of the trail runs through a nature conservation area, offering quiet landscapes, diverse wildlife, and lovely viewpoints over the surrounding countryside. The route combines forest paths, natural trails, and open sections that make this hike both relaxing and rewarding. This event will be on Saturday **28/03/2026.** **What we will do together** **1.** Cycle from Luxembourg gare **(front of Police station)** to Remerschen Youth Hostel (about 32km). **2.** Have a meal at the Youth hostel **(warm dining area inside the Youth Hostel).** Those who wish to do a shorter ride can take the **bus** from Remerschen back to Lux gare. **3.** Cycle from Remerschen to Wasserbilling gare (about 36km). If we maintain an average speed of about 18km/hour and have a total stop time of 90 minutes (including 1 hour meal at the youth hostel), we can finish the ride in 5 hours. **Getting home from the finishing point (Wasserbillig gare)** There are trains from Wasserbillig to Luxembourg Gare every 30 minutes. Also, there are buses going from Wasserbillig to other directions. **What to bring** 1\. Your bike in tip top condition\. 2\. Energy snacks\. 3\. Lots of fluids to stay hydrated\. 4. **Packed food** for the meal at the Youth hostel. **ALTERNATIVELY,** you can **order food** at Remerschen Youth hostel, if we get there before 14:00h. They close the kitchen at 2pm. To **guarantee our access** to the hostel even if their dining area is booked for a private event, I called them, and they said that I should email them to book space for our cycling group. We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
