Communicative, collaborative and creative drawing sessions. Participants draw a central still-life that the group can create themselves until the music track finishes and then pass it to the person on their left. The drawings change hands 3 to 5 times and the end results are always inspiring. After the collaborative warm-up participants can work individually on printing techniques, Mono -printing, tetra-pack or gelli. -printing. Feel free to try out a process that you are unfamiliar with. There will always be somebody to offer advice if necessary Bring A4 paper, and favourite materials, pencils & brushes. You can also use some studio materials in exchange for a small contribution. A fun but informative approach with consistently creative results!

Hello challengers, For those of you that survived the winters of Berlin, I'm getting geared up for our next meetup! In this workshop, we’ll go beyond simply taking photos, we’ll train your eye to see color with intention and use it as a powerful storytelling tool. Instead of focusing on subjects alone, this challenge invites you to explore Berlin through a single lens: **color**. You’ll be split into small groups and assigned a specific color. Your mission is to hunt for it, frame it, and bring it to life through a series of images. By the end, each group will become the storyteller of their color across the city. Along the way, you’ll learn how to use color not just as an aesthetic, but as a way to guide attention, create emotion, and build stronger compositions. Learn to see, compose, and tell stories through color using contrast, simplicity, and creative interpretation. 🧠 **How the Challenge Works** * You’ll be split into groups of **2–3 people** * Each group is assigned **one color** * You’ll have **\~60 minutes** to explore and shoot * Your goal: capture a small series of images that represent your color in Berlin **A Social Experience** As much as this is a photography group, it’s about connection and community. Within your group, you’ll collaborate, explore, and share perspectives. This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. **The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception** Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory. For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy. She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization. In the last 12 years Condado has gone from one location in Columbus to 52 locations across 10 states, so we’re guessing there’s more to that growth than really good guac (though the guac probably helps). Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
