Social chess after work
Social chess after work
This is at Asia Square Tower 1 of Citigroup near Downtown MRT. We'll be at the outdoor lunch tables in the common area near Asia Square Tower 1. Look for people with chess boards. We are always on, have never missed a Wednesday (except for Covid). Rain, Hail or Shine we are on (under cover). Even public holidays. Please bring a tournament sized chess board/pieces if you have one, as there is always more people than boards. This Chess meetup is for all levels of play, open to everyone free of charge regardless of race, gender or age. I will always find you an evenly matched opponent. No one should feel intimidated or embarrassed to play. It's Social Chess! Look forward to seeing you at the social chess meetup where we'll play some games, go through a famous game and for those interested, have a drink afterwards. If you're new to chess, come along and we'll have fun going through how the game works Asia Square Building Management have kindly granted permission to use their tables for this Chess Meetup on the proviso that we are orderly and we return the tables to original configurations after use (taking care not to damage the edge of tables). We have been featured in the Straits Times. http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/after-work-chess-group-checks-all-the-right-boxes ( http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/after-work-chess-group-checks-all-the-right-boxes ) Cheers Brad
Introducing The Best Group 🎾
Introducing The Best Group 🎾
What if a tennis class became the easiest way to meet new people? **The Best Group** combines structured, level-based tennis group classes with an optional social matching experience. Here's how it works: 🎾 Join a tennis group class with players of a similar level 🤝 Having joined a class, you can choose to be matched with **three other people you've never met before** for dinner. The difference? **Everyone at the table will already have completed a tennis group class with The Best Group.** Instead of meeting complete strangers with nothing in common, everyone shares the same experience, making conversations feel far more natural from the very beginning. Think of it as a Timeleft-style social experience—but with a built-in shared connection before you ever sit down for dinner. **Join the waitlist for early access:** [https://thebestgroup.base44.app/](https://thebestgroup.base44.app/)

Tea & Flowers Gathering
Tea & Flowers Gathering
**The best conversations happen over something warm.** No agenda. No itinerary. Just a small group of flower lovers, a pot of tea, and a few fresh stems on the table. **Steep & Bloom** is the most relaxed event in the Her Flowers Collective week : a free, drop-in gathering where members come together, share what they've been noticing or creating, and simply enjoy each other's company before the weekend. We brings the flowers. The venue hosts the space. If you'd like to order a drink to support them, please do as it's a small way to keep beautiful spaces like this open for us to gather in. Everything else takes care of itself. **What to expect:** ☕ A warm café-style gathering — come as you are 🌸 Fresh stems on the table — because everything is better with flowers 💬 Unstructured conversation — let it go wherever it goes 👥 Familiar faces and new ones — the collective in its most natural form **Details:** * 📍 *[Café name & address will confirm after RSVP, Singapore]* * 🗓 *approx. 1 hour* * 🎟 Free to attend — drinks optional and encouraged to support our venue host *(This is one of three weekly activities that earns your Blooms & Socials fee back — show up to all three and Saturday's workshop is on us.)* *See what's coming next at* **[herflowers.sg/community](http://herflowers.sg/community) 🌺**
