* Explore the creative world of book arts through a series of focused evening workshops led by artist and printmaker Raquel Amat.
* These sessions introduce a range of traditional and contemporary bookbinding techniques, showing how folding, stitching, structure, and materials come together to create unique handmade books.

The Book Club in London
This isn’t a typical book club. It’s a space to explore real questions about life, meaning, and the Bible—together.
Bring your questions, your doubts, or just your curiosity.
You don’t need to believe anything to belong here. Make up your own mind.
Most people have thoughts about the Bible… But rarely get the chance to explore it honestly.
Here, you can ask:
• What do I actually believe?
• Does any of this still matter today?
• Is there more to this than I thought?
What to expect:
We meet for two hours at a time. Our reading list includes books from the Bible — as well as some of the books that didn’t make it into most Bibles. The Bible has shaped culture, law, art and ethics for centuries, yet many people are personally unfamiliar with it.
Each evening is structured but informal. The group chooses the book or books to read, and discussion takes place in small groups. No lectures. No pressure. No need to prepare anything in advance. The aim is thoughtful, respectful conversation.
Plenty of people feel they know quite a bit about the Bible, yet struggle to read it. This is a space to explore it thoughtfully and honestly — in good company.
This club is for:

• Christians with questions
• Anyone who wants to make up their own mind

It’s also a chance to find a bit of community along the way.

7.00pm - When you arrive your name will be checked off the guest list, the host will direct everyone to the reserved area and explain how the event will work.
7.30pm – Event starts, you will be introduced to each other in a nice relaxed environment in the semi private reserved area.
10 pm - Event ends, all guests are welcome to stay and enjoy chatting with each other.

Sketchbook: Barbican
Let's sketch The Barbican, a brutalist masterpiece full of loads of twisty turns and a magnificent church. Let's meet outside the Barbican tube station at 1pm.
Completely free of charge, no need to sign up, bring a friend! Feel free to drop in for the whole two hours or just short while if you'd prefer. Look for the tall ginger fella sketching away as the central meetup spot, but feel free to roam as far and wide as you like and sketch anything you damn well please!
Please bring your own sketchbooks and pens/pencils.
The plan will be to meet at 1pm, sketch for a couple of hours and meet back and chat at 3pm. There are plenty of places around to grab coffee or a bite to eat, hopefully the weather is good so we'll be able to sit outside but if not we could consider ducking into a cafe.
