Please be mindful of our policy: * **RSVP Policy:** Please RSVP for sessions exclusively through the Meetup app. WhatsApp is mainly for regular updates on attendance, timings and last-minute changes. Any requests made via WhatsApp might not be considered for session sign-ups. * **Late Backouts:** Backing out within 9 hours of the session is considered a late backout. You will be required to pay the session fee in full, even if a replacement is found. * **No-Shows:** If you fail to show up without notice, you must still pay for the session. * **Respect for the Organisers:** Our organisers finalise the list the night before or early morning. Last-minute changes mean they need to leave their work to arrange replacements. This affects not just the organisers but the overall experience of the players. * **Waitlist Responsibility:** If you're on the waitlist and no longer wish to attend, it’s your responsibility to remove your name. We assume that anyone on the waitlist still wants to join the session if a spot opens up. * **First-Come, First-Serve Basis:** We ensure fairness by adhering to a first-come, first-serve system. Please do not ask for special treatment or last-minute slots outside of this. **Note: Players may cancel without penalty up to 9 hours before the session. After this time, the session fee applies regardless of waitlist status. Please book and cancel responsibly to avoid disruptions for everyone involved.**

OM Chanting Circle
OM Chanting Circle
WHAT IS OM CHANTING? OM Chanting is a group practice, one of the techniques of Atma Kriya Yoga, that uses the transformational power of OM to activate the self-healing potential of the participants. BENEFITS OF OM CHANTING: • Activates self-healing • Transforms negativity into positive energy • Calms the mind • Helps to cultivate more joy, love and peace for the world • Purifies the environment through the OM vibration To preserve the energetic integrity of the circle, once chanting has started, participants arriving after the start time will be asked to sit on the outside of the circle. If you are running late, please let the OM Chanting Organiser know – if it is only a few minutes, they might be able to wait for you. WHAT IS BHAGAVAD GITA? If you are ready to know your true Self, exploring the Bhagavad Gita is key to unlocking answers for crucial questions every human being inevitably reflects on throughout one's life. The ancient yogic-vedic science revealed by Krishna on the battlefield more than 5000 years ago is just as relevant as it is today, for this battle represents everyone's personal journey of awakening. The timeless teachings found in the Bhagavad Gita transcends dogma, providing practical instruction on how to attain true happiness and peace for every being regardless of culture, class or belief. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The event is run on a voluntary contribution basis (recommended AED 25-50). IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING FINDING THE VENUE, PLEASE JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP: https://chat.whatsapp.com/HPu7ZPoaANWLsDIcKCSqbv

Bookends Book Club: The Forty Rules of Love
This beautifully layered novel moves between the present day and the 13th-century world of Rumi and Shams of Tabriz, exploring love, spirituality, transformation, and the courage to question the life we are living. We’ll discuss the characters, the “rules” that stayed with us, the book’s reflections on love and faith, and how its themes connect to our own lives. Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have. Happy writing!
