When women gather and dance from within, is something magical✨After more than 20 years of practice as a professional, accompanying women of all ages, body types, nationalities etc, I can assure you that Oriental Dance is one of the best tools for women to combine introspection, connecting with your body and emotions with having fun, expressing yourself and connect with other dancing sisters 👯‍♀️ This a regular course with weekly classes on Fridays so you can tap deeper into the secrets of the most feminine dance! No previous knowlegde needed, it is for you if you are about to try, just come😉 If you’ve learnt oriental dance before, ask me about other levels, we have up to advanced level😉 The most characteristic movements are of pelvic area, our energy center of creativity and sensuality, that has greater capacity of storytelling that you’ve imagined. We will break down from where the movements come from, because yes, there is a technical part so that you get the right tools to start, know the muscles you need to use to make it simplier than it seems. You will see that oriental dance is much more than hip movements, you will also learn torso movements, graceful arms and hands etc It can be energizing , flowing, sensual, flirty, fun and much more! Long story short, as a byproduct you will gain elegance and sensuality in all your moves and expressive body language. Los Arty Sunday han vuelto! Y para el primero del 2026 vamos a la exposición de Helen Levit! El plan es ver la exhibición y luego, si te apetece, tomar algo por la zona. Helen Levitt (1913-2009) comenzó a fotografiar su Nueva York natal a finales de la década de 1930, con imágenes que reflejaban la vida en los barrios más pobres, y sobre todo los niños y sus juegos en las calles. Lo hizo con un infalible instinto para reflejar, más allá de las escenas infantiles, todo lo que la vida cotidiana contiene de emoción, enigma o humor. Su obra obtuvo pronto el reconocimiento que merecía y ya en 1943 el MOMA de Nueva York organizó su primera exposición individual. A lo largo de su carrera prestaría también gran atención al medio cinematográfico. Artista socialmente comprometida, Levitt fue una de las primeras mujeres en abrirse camino profesionalmente en la fotografía. 🌟 Encuentro para personas autistas adultas (diagnóstico tardío 30+) y parejas Barcelona – Biblioteca Pública Fort Pienc ¿Has pasado años sintiendo que no entendias las normas sociales? ¿Que entiendes las reglas… pero te gustaría que vinieran con subtítulos? ¿Te diagnosticaron ya siendo adulto/a y de repente muchas cosas encajaron… pero siguen quedando mil dudas? Este encuentro está creado precisamente para personas que se reconocen en estas experiencias. El objetivo es ofrecer un espacio donde quienes son autistas (30+), con o sin pareja, puedan tener compañía sincera, humor compartido, comprensión real y un respiro social, sin máscaras ni presiones. **📍 Lugar** Terraza del segundo piso – Biblioteca Pública Fort Pienc (Barcelona) Un espacio amplio, tranquilo, al aire libre y con bajo ruido ambiental, pensado para reducir la carga sensorial y permitir que las interacciones fluyan de forma natural. **📅 Frecuencia** Reuniones presenciales de 1 hora y media, una vez por semana, en grupos pequeños para que nadie se sienta abrumado. Our January program is privileged to have Kristen Tregar as our speaker. Ms. Tregar is the co-author with John de Lancie (the actor who portrayed the character Q on Star Trek next generation) of a radio play depicting the events surrounding the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District trial. The trial decided the issue of some of the Dover school district board members attempting to insert creationism disguised as "intelligent design" into the 9th grade biology curriculum. She will discuss the trial and the process of writing the play. (Bob Leonhard has seen the play and it is riveting and tense). Ms. Tregar's bio is below: Kristen Tregar is a dramaturg, director, playwright, and theatre teacher. She earned her Ph.D. in Drama and Theatre from the UC San Diego and UC Irvine joint program. In addition, she has a MS in Forensic Science from City University of New York- John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a MA in Educational Theatre from New York University- Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. In 2013, in collaboration with Irish colleagues, she founded *The Ireland Project*, an intercontinental devised theatre work with high school students in New York and Tallaght, Ireland. Her original short story "Far From Here" was recently published in *Stay Awhile Longer: More Scenes From Temecula Valley*. She has two rescued dogs (Kira and Harry) and she rides, competes, and foxhunts with her horses, Andromache and Baker Street Irregular. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. **Our January novel is: Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan** **This month's featured novel is a 20th-century biographical fiction, coming-of-age, historical romance, women’s fiction, world literature, student biography, heartfelt, magic, and feel-good novel. The book is 311 pages in print and 7 hours and 8 minutes on audiobook.** 1950: Margaret Devonshire (Megs) is a seventeen-year-old student of mathematics and physics at Oxford University.
