🌿KURTH KILN forest&flow: Hike+Picnic+Meditation+Kayaks
* 🌏 **MELBOURNE → KURTH KILN** Regional Park 🌲🏙️ * 📅 **SUN 29 MARCH, DAY TRIP ☀️** * 🍃 Where forest whispers meet gentle adventure \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **🌿 Kurth Kiln: Walk, Breathe & Reconnect** Tucked away in the Yarra Ranges, Kurth Kiln is one of those rare places where nature and history quietly coexist. Tall eucalyptus trees stretch into the sky, fern gullies glow deep green, and a soft creek flows through the forest like a gentle soundtrack. Hidden among it all stands the old **kiln chimney** — a reminder of Victoria’s early timber days — and the peaceful **water wheel**, turning slowly beside the stream. This is a place to slow down. We’ll walk through lush forest trails, listen to the sounds of water and birds, maybe spot a **koala resting high in the trees**, and take time to simply breathe. After the walk, we gather for a relaxed **picnic with fresh fruit**, followed by a short **meditation** in nature — a moment to ground, reset, and reconnect. The day finishes with a refreshing **kayak session on a calm lake**, surrounded by rolling hills and quiet reflections. This is not just a trip. Sixth Sense and Intuition: Non Sensory Perception
Sixth Sense and Intuition: Non Sensory Perception
[Tickets](https://www.trybooking.com/DJZNB) https://www.trybooking.com/DKRAX A relaxed Saturday session exploring three things people often talk about but rarely separate clearly: intuition, the “sixth sense,” and perception beyond the usual five senses. What’s the difference between a quiet inner knowing and something that feels more striking or unusual? Can perception happen without the physical senses, or are we just interpreting subtle cues? We’ll look at these questions in a straightforward way and try a few simple exercises to see how they show up in practice.

Social Surfing Banter and Froths 🍺🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️🍻
Social Surfing Banter and Froths 🍺🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️🍻
It's been a long time since we had a social gathering, let's fix that. Come along and meet members of the group, catch up with existing mates, drink some froths, eat some food, and be merry. Come along to Stomping Ground in Collingwood. There is also an URBNSURF session meetup at the 6-7pm Intermediate Right before this so come along to that too if ya keen! Please update your RSVP if you can no longer make this event so that anyone on the waitlist can be added to the event. If you do not you will be forever cursed into a life of kooktitude and all your waves will close out as soon as your feet hit the deck. Come on and drop into some conversations. Perform a slick verbal cutback into a new friendship. Get barrelled by positive energy and the endless stoke of a great group of people. Enhance your tasting paddling stamina with a nice selection of craft beer. Duck dive into a night that could go anywhere but, let's be honest, will likely end up at karaoke. As the great philosopher Björk once said: "What’s the point in drinking a glass of wine a day ? It’s a waste of money, a waste of time, a waste of wine. Better to drink a litre of vodka once a week and do it properly, really get out of it. I miss all that. I’d rather go all the way once a month, end up naked on a bar table, climbing fences and swimming in someone’s pool."

Inclusive Grief Circle: Honouring Loss Through Ceremony, Community & Creativity
Inclusive Grief Circle: Honouring Loss Through Ceremony, Community & Creativity
Read reviews from past participants [here](https://www.greenhousecreativesanctuary.com/inclusivegrief) “Grief has never been private, it has always been communal. Subconsciously, we are awaiting the presence of others, before we can feel safe enough to drop to our knees on the holy ground of sorrow. For the most part, grief is not a problem to be solved, not a condition to be medicated, but a deep encounter with an essential experience of being human. Grief becomes problematic when the conditions needed to help us work with grief are absent.” - Francis Weller Our primary association with grief is the loss of a loved one but there are so many kinds of losses that don't have formal ceremonies that are important to honour. Unprocessed grief can accumulate in weight, dulling our senses and capacity for aliveness. This is a safe, supportive space for all shapes, sizes and textures of grief- for the loss of our loved ones, for the childhood we did not get to have, for the parts of ourselves that have been rejected and exiled, for friendships and relationships with ambiguous endings, for homes and communities we are distanced from and miss, for the suffering of the world and our fellow beings. This inclusive grief circle is also an advocacy for compassionate and attentive grief work, for reshaping our understanding of and relationship with grief. It is a holding space, a container, a time and a deep permission to acknowledge our emotions, our connections, the ways we have been touched and transformed, and our humanity. We will make art in response to the Grief Deck, share and witness each other’s stories and journeys, and co-create a group nature mandala together. **Please bring a jar and 8-10 similar natural objects (8 flowers or 8 sticks or 8 stones).** If you are facing financial hardship, please key in CONCESSION as a promo code for a discounted price of $25. If that is still difficult, please email me at greenhouse.arttherapy@gmail.com. No one will be turned away. **Please also note:** * This is an art-therapy informed community-based creative workshop, and is not intended to replace individual or group therapy, and is also not for emergency crisis support or intervention. * If you are comfortable with me taking photos of you and/or your artwork for learning and supervision purposes, and to offer others a sense of what the workshop is like, please let me know at the start of the session. Your participation would be greatly appreciated! * While the estimated time is 2 hours, it might overrun depending on the size of the group and the conversations we are having so please allow some grace for that.

Creative Conversations and Connections
Creative Conversations and Connections
This is a space for us to gather for an afternoon of flow, reflection, and creative kinship. Bring along a past, ongoing or future creative project or artwork or idea to introduce yourself with. A sculpture, a tapestry, a poem, a song, a performance, a dance, a video. Something you'd like to share with others, something meaningful to you, or something you have questions about. It does not have to be completed- it can even be a small collection of inspirations you've been pondering over. We’ll spend time creating together while having conversations about any questions or thoughts we might have about our intentions, inspirations, aspirations, anxieties, challenges, celebrations and struggles in relation to our creative identities and journeys. This is not a workshop or art therapy, just a community space for people who value creating. All forms of making and all levels are welcome — just come as you are. Bring your journal or any materials that support your practice. Art supplies will be provided.

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations. If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!). **HOW IT WORKS** **Step 1: Bring a topic** Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event. **Step 2: Circle up & share** We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!" **Step 4: Feel more alive** Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times. *For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)* **HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC** A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about. Recent topics include: * "What are you passionate about right now?" * "What makes a good friend?" * "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?" * "How do you want to be remembered?" * "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?" Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter. **WHAT TO EXPECT** This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.* But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here. **FAQ** * Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk! * We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space. * We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space. * Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know. * Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic! **LOGISTICS** * If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event. * This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs. * Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details. * If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋 **IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...** [The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up. * This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).
