**Christian & Bella Volen Galerie**

Innate Dance Class
Innate Dance Class
**What is Innate Dance?** Innate Dance is a joyful approach to movement, which invites deeper embodiment and self-connection through butoh inspired movement, Noguchi Taiso exercises, the Seki Method, somatic attention and imagination. We shake it out, breaking up stuck energy held in the body, and explore new movement possibilities from a place of alignment and sensitivity. Thanks to our open awareness we can be surprised by lesser-known parts of ourselves and come to appreciate our innate wisdom in movement. Through exercises, explorations and improvisations we build trust in the body that knows how it would like to move and express itself, and when we follow our innate dance, it just feels good! There is also time and space to dance freely, to enjoy the music in your body and to let go! Ultimately, it's about feeling more 'in' our body and grounding joy. **When? Where? How much?** **Mondays 19:30-21:00** in Studio 2, Tanz\*Hotel, Zirkusgasse 35, 1020 Wien Try out € 16\,\- \| One class drop\-in € 21\,\- \| Student € 10\,\- \| 5 x class pass €95\,\- \| 1 x class pass for rest of semester € 224\,\- \(or €16/class\) **Who teaches the course?** Jess is a dancer and psychotherapist (humanistic and integrative), who loves shaping classes that offer the space to explore the many facets of being human. Sometimes this learning involves physically embodying non-humans like trees, fish and wind, so we can get out of our limited-human-thinking-mind and into the bigger wisdom available through imagination and our body. At other times it's about dancing textures, sensations or taking on the energy of parts of ourselves so we can know them better. Jess has danced all her life and has been exploring butoh dance for the past eleven years alongside her psychotherapeutic practice. She is co-author of *The Seki Method - Basics* (now available to buy online via website), is a Seki Method Facilitator, and was a 2024 student at the Im_Flieger Schule researching dance and healing.

Is This for Me? Open Playfight Workshop
**✨Explore your own relationship with play, connection and challenge✨** **Max. 8 participants** [CLICK TO REGISTER AND SECURE YOU PLACE](https://forms.gle/Pf2c5hhaBuU7pfcR7) **About this workshop** **Playfight is a laboratory for real-life situations.** Over the past months, my workshops have explored themes such as power, conscious touch, intimacy and so on. **This time, we widen the field again.** Instead of focusing on one specific topic, we return to the richness of the practice itself. Open Playfight is a space to discover what value this practice can offer *to you.* Maybe you’ve been curious about playfight for a while. Maybe you’ve joined before, but drifted away. Or maybe there is simply a part of you wondering: **“Maybe this isn’t for me.”** **You don’t have to push through your resistance to belong here. Curiosity and care are enough.** Through movement, games, and playful physical interactions, we’ll explore: * meeting ourselves and others in a spirit of play * expressing strength and vulnerability in a safer environment * discovering that challenge and connection can coexist * **finding freedom within clear boundaries** * stepping beyond our usual roles and habits, with curiosity **Different people discover different things here:** * confidence, * softness, * safe physical contact, * the freedom to express themselves, * or simply the joy of moving and laughing together. * At a deeper level, we touch another human paradox: **We often think we already know who we are — and what spaces belong to us.** What if the part of us that says “this isn’t for me” is exactly **the part that is asking to be met?** No prior experience needed. Come as you are. **What to Expect** 16:00 – Doors Open 16:15 – Start 19:30 – End Grounding, warm-up games, simple connection exercises, playfight circles, and moments of shared reflection. The workshop unfolds **gradually**, with clear guidance and respect for **individual boundaries**, allowing everyone to participate **at the pace that feels right** for them. Whether you are completely new or returning after some time away, there is **zero pressure** to perform or “do it right.”🌿 **Location:** Golden Ape Studio, Schüttelstraße 37/8 · Wien **Date:** Saturday, September 27th **About The Facilitator** Hi, I’m **Marco**, I’m an Coach (Lebens- und Sozialberater in training) and a Workshop Facilitator. In my workshops, **vulnerability and strength go hand in hand**. Body-based connection goes beyond words. Self-responsibility is a pillar for community support. **And playing together becomes a meaningful way to discover something new about ourselves.** **Contribution – Sliding Scale (Pay What You Wish / Can)** * €30 solidarity * **€40 standard** * €50 supporter **Whatever amount you decide, you’ll be fully welcome at my event.** If you’re unsure which amount feels right for you, you’re welcome to use this brief [self-assessment guide](https://tally.so/r/mO98X7) as orientation – and then choose freely. ##### **Info & Registration** ##### **Max. 8 participants.** [CLICK TO REGISTER AND SECURE YOUR SPOT](https://forms.gle/Pf2c5hhaBuU7pfcR7) **Need more info?** 👉 Read the [FAQs](https://playfight.my-power.at/faqs/) 👉 Check out [what to expect from a Playfight workshop](https://playfight.my-power.at/workshops-for-all/) Or contact me (Marco) directly at 📧 [contact@my-power.at](mailto:contact@my-power.at) **See you on the playfight mats!**

Shut Up & Write!™ Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you! • What to bring Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible. See you at The Café on Saturday!
