Este grupo es un espacio abierto para estudiar Un Curso de Milagros desde la experiencia viva y compartida. Nos reunimos para leer, reflexionar y llevar a la práctica sus enseñanzas a través de charlas, vivencias personales y ejercicios de observación de la mente. No es un espacio de debate intelectual ni de dogmas, sino un encuentro en comunidad donde aprender a elegir de nuevo, practicar el perdón y reconocer la paz que ya está presente. **L'Estany de Banyoles** es el lago natural más grande de Cataluña. También es el origen y principal signo de identidad de la ciudad de Banyoles. Es un **espacio natural único, de gran valor geológico, ecológico, paisajístico y cultural**. Se puede pasear y disfrutar de los rincones más emblemáticos. El lago de Banyoles y su cuenca se consideran el conjunto más extenso de la península Ibérica. Su importancia medioambiental le ha valido la protección del **Plan de Espacios de Interés Natural** (PEIN) de la Generalitat de Cataluña, la inclusión a la Lista Ramsar de Zonas Húmedas de Importancia y formar parte de la Red Natura 2000. **La formación del lago de Banyoles se remonta hasta el cuaternario** y se explica a partir de los movimientos tectónicos que dan lugar en los Pirineos. Una serie de fenómenos kársticos posteriores provocan los hundimientos que permitieron la formación de la zona lacustre. El lago se alimenta del agua procedente de los acuíferos. La vuelta al lago de Banyoles es uno de los paseos más conocidos de la zona, tanto por los visitantes, como por los mismos banyolins y banyolines. Our January program is privileged to have Kristen Tregar as our speaker. Ms. Tregar is the co-author with John de Lancie (the actor who portrayed the character Q on Star Trek next generation) of a radio play depicting the events surrounding the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District trial. The trial decided the issue of some of the Dover school district board members attempting to insert creationism disguised as "intelligent design" into the 9th grade biology curriculum. She will discuss the trial and the process of writing the play. (Bob Leonhard has seen the play and it is riveting and tense). Ms. Tregar's bio is below: Kristen Tregar is a dramaturg, director, playwright, and theatre teacher. She earned her Ph.D. in Drama and Theatre from the UC San Diego and UC Irvine joint program. In addition, she has a MS in Forensic Science from City University of New York- John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a MA in Educational Theatre from New York University- Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. In 2013, in collaboration with Irish colleagues, she founded *The Ireland Project*, an intercontinental devised theatre work with high school students in New York and Tallaght, Ireland. Her original short story "Far From Here" was recently published in *Stay Awhile Longer: More Scenes From Temecula Valley*. She has two rescued dogs (Kira and Harry) and she rides, competes, and foxhunts with her horses, Andromache and Baker Street Irregular. Food and drinks will be provided at the event.
