đ Eat, Drink, Dance⌠and Actually Eat This Time: Eat & Walk Adventure
** Eat, Drink, Dance⌠and Actually Eat This Time: ChooseâYourâOwn Eat & Walk Evening **
**Update moved to Thursday 26 - Option to end the evening at the Espy**
Look, Iâve realised something slightly embarrassing: the Eat activity in the Eat Drink Dance Melbourne title has been treated like the quiet kid in the group project. Neglected. Overlooked. Underfed.
Time to make amends â with carbs, twilight, and a little light cardio.
We'll head down to Topolino Pizza in St.Kilda on Fitzroy St. They have a big menu if you'd prefer something different and prefer a drink as well.
**Location:** [Topolino Pizza ](https://maps.app.goo.gl/qFsqY2HMcfYFYbBj9)
Because itâs a bit too sweethearty to plonk down at dinner with total strangers straight away, weâre warming things up with a breezy 5km iceâbreaker walk. Think of it as foreplay for pizza.
**â° Start time: 6.00pm Sharp**
âď¸**Check-In** with the organiser as soon as you arrive
**âł Arrival time**: 5:45pm â Be on time â Iâm cute , so don't miss the fun!, Iâm not waiting around.
**âą If youâre late**: Meet us at Topolinos around 7.15pm and pretend you were there the whole time.
**Etiquette**: Order your meal or beverage at the register. No table service, no split bills.
** Evening & Twilight Walk Route**
Weâll glide (or shuffle, no judgement) from the Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre near the Shrine of Remembrance, wander past the Melbourne Aquatic Centre, the swans and fish at Albert Park lake, and finish triumphantly at Topolinos Pizza Restaurant â where the real bonding begins.
** Choose Your Own Adventure (Carb Edition**)
**Option 1 â Walk + Pizza**
Join the evening parade all the way to Topolinos and reward yourself with pizza or whatever edible joy calls your name. Make your own way home after banter, food and drinks.
**Option 2 â Pizza Only**
Skip the walk, arrive fresh and fabulous at Topolinos, and meet the sweaty romantics who did the trek. Be there around 7.15 PM. Look for the ravenous bunch.
**Option 3 â Walk + Pizza + Espy**
For the overachievers, romantics, and people who âjust love stepsâ: walk to Topolinos, feast, then wander over to a Thursday night at the Espy Pub, just around the corner, smug glow achieved.
**⨠Vibe Check**
Fun. Flirty. Lightly chaotic. A little wholesome, a little unhinged, and very Melbourne.
Come for the walk, stay for the pizza, leave with new friends, a warm glow, and possibly a new favourite ritual.
**Note**: Last time I ran this, the No Shows vanished into the night like mischievous goblins⌠and theyâre no longer in the group. If you canât make it, just update your RSVP so your spot can go to someone who will appear in human form.â
I am closing the RSVP one day before the event, if you are on the waitlist and would still like to attend, please contact the organiser directly.
**Group Rules and Event Etiquette**
**Fitness Requirements**:
**Walking:** 3 to 4km/hr
Ensure you have adequate fitness, it's unfair for the group to wait extended periods for you. You may be asked to exit the event as a consequence.
**Very Fast or Very Slow People**
It's a group activity the organiser can't manage the group if people are everywhere, please consider going by yourself, joining faster groups or having adequate fitness.
**Busy People**
Best to give yourself some wiggle room, or not attend the event if you have time constraints. Things rarely go to time, especially when having fun.
**â ď¸+++VERY IMPORTANT+++**
**People Who Do A No Show**.
This is far too common for small group events, there may be people on a waitlist wanting to come and unable to because of your **No Show*, hence very inconsiderate.
Remove yourself from the going list at least 24 hours before the event to give people on the waitlist an opportunity. **If you do a No Show you will likely be removed and blocked from the group**.
If you remove yourself from the event an hour or two before the event **(flaking)** you may also be blocked and removed from the group, especially if there is a waitlist, very unfair to people on the waitlist.
**People Not On The Going List**
This is a major security concern, **DO NOT TURN UP RANDOMLY**.You will be asked to leave the event unless you have made arrangements with the organiser **PRIOR** to the event.
**People Who Are Late**
You will be left behind and or removed and blocked from the group as a **No Show**. It is your responsibility to communicate with the organiser if you will be late. It's up to you to catch up. This may not be possible for some events.
**Second Chances**
Please communicate with the organiser if you do not want to be blocked and removed from the group
**Disclaimer: No Liability & Organiser Indemnity**
By participating in this event, you acknowledge and accept full personal responsibility for your own safety, wellbeing, and belongings. The organiser assumes no liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred during the activity. Participation is entirely at your own risk.

Columbus in-person chapter meeting: Your 2026 Buy Box + Successful Rentals 101
(Note: RSVPing here on meetup does NOT reserve your seat. To do that, youâll need to register at our website, **[HERE](https://www.coreerocks.com/Events.aspx?ID=Columbus-in-person-chapter-meeting-Your-2026-Buy-Box-Successful-Rentals-101-14-3-3-2026)**.)
Letâs be honest. In 2026, you canât use 2023 strategies and âhopeâ a deal works out.
Demand for rentals, wholesale deals, retail deals, and even loans has changed, and that means that the most active, experienced investors have changed the way they do deals (and maybe even the kinds of deals theyâll do).
Here at COREE, our job is to shortcut your learning curve by introducing you to the people and concepts you need to take the shortest path from here to financial freedom, and we think youâll agree that this meeting is a no-brainer, if youâre serious about making wealth-building deals this year.
Hereâs the detailed agenda:
From 6:00â7:00 p.m.,
From 7:30â9:00 p.m.,
Agenda:
5:00â6:00 p.m. Complimentary Light Dinner & Networking
6:00â7:00 p.m\*\*. New Investor Meeting: Basics of Making Money in Rentals with Vena Jones-Cox\*\*. If youâre planning to buy rentals today, you have to know how to evaluate the REAL income and expenses before you make an offer. If youâre new, youâll finally understand how rentals really produce profit. If youâve been around a while, youâll see how todayâs numbers change the math.
7:00 â7:30 **Buy-Sell-Trade (Members Only)**
Bring your deals, money, buyer lists, referrals, and requests.
Fast-moving. Bring flyers or business cards.
Guests get a quick orientation with Executive Director Vena Jones-Cox.
7:30â9:00 p.m. **Main Meeting: Your 2026 Buy Box: What Experienced Investors are Buying in 2026 (and what they wonât touch).** Our panel of active, experienced investors will lay out their 2026 buy boxes. Not hypotheticals. Not âin theory.â
What they are actually buyingâand what they wonât touch.
Theyâll share:
* What property types investors are actively pursuing
* What strategies theyâve stopped using
* The exact numbers they require before they say yes
* How insurance, taxes, and rates have tightened the buy box
* What instantly disqualifies a deal in todayâs market
* How to define your own 2026 buy box based on capital and risk tolerance
Members and non-members at any level of knowledge and experience are welcomeâas long as youâre serious about real estate, value experience-based, no B.S. education, and want to give as much as you get.
Remember, to actually reserve your seat, you have to go **[HERE](https://www.coreerocks.com/Events.aspx?ID=Columbus-in-person-chapter-meeting-Your-2026-Buy-Box-Successful-Rentals-101-14-3-3-2026)** and register on our website!
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Google Analytics Alternatives
**Google Analytics Alternatives**
Is it finally time to make the switch away from Google Analytics? Two-and-a-half years ago Jason Packer asked this question at Columbus Web Analytics Wednesday.
Since then: Googleâs Universal Analytics has been sunset, weâve changed our name to Columbus Data & Analytics Wednesday, and Jason has released two editions of his book âGoogle Analytics Alternativesâ.
Fresh off the release of the 2nd edition of his book, we thought it was time to re-open this conversation. While people love to complain about it, GAâs market share has remained relatively constant (at least in the United States). Why is that? You wonât find any complaints about GA4 in this talk, but rather an overview of whatâs currently available in the market and how to frame your decision-making process.
Weâll also be giving out some free copies of Jasonâs book! So even if youâve got a âGA4Lyfeâ tattoo (no judgement), thereâs free books to go with the free pizza and beer.

CBusData - Discover the Power of Window Functions
Window functions have nothing to do with the Windows operating system but provide a âwindowâ to a result set when used in SQL queries. They are powerful, set-based methods to view data in unexpected ways. Window functions provide easy, set-based solutions to solve some common problems:
* Using running totals
* Performing operations in intervals
* Identifying data gaps and islands
* Performing aggregates without losing detail
Many people are confused by window functions and do not know how to use them properly. This session will explore window functions, how they work, and how to use them. Demonstrations with several examples will solidify how window functions can simplify queries and make them more powerful.
