Join us for this informal gathering and workshop to discover the basics of practical Money Magick. \* Open up the way for you to manifest small and big sums \* Using both traditional and contemporary ritual techniques \* Start healing the money wound \* Gain new perspectives on the spirit inside the coin. Peace of mind around money is invaluable these days. And this workshop will give you a glimpse into just how much is possible by claiming your power and responsibility as a magickal creature in a capitalistic world. Marc will also share common pitfalls in what to avoid and how to notice when your money magick “backfires”. This alone may save you thousands. This is not only a first introduction to the topic but a hands on masterclass with informal discussion and Q&A with an experienced magical practitioner. After the workshop you may engage in - 1:1 private Tarot consultations with Marc to talk about any topics or questions of your choosing (10 or 20 min. readings). Duration 90 mins. Blanchot Sessions #2
Blanchot Sessions #2
We continue Blanchot Sessions, a guided reading group dedicated to texts by Maurice Blanchot. Little by little, although right away, we've found ourselves at sea. Our core text is *“Encountering the Imaginary.”* We asked: how Blanchot helps us think art, not only literature — image, distance, narrative. How he could help us overcome the unbearable sterility that the art has found itself in. We will sit with selected passages together, follow the writing closely, and take time for questions in conversation. Additional side materials will be provided. The sessions remain open and moderated. No prior knowledge is required — only patience with the text. You’re welcome to join. **Blanchot Sessions — Second Meeting** Wednesday, 25.02. 18:30–20:30 Fee: 20 € Galerie Linger – Art, Books & Press Boppstraße 2, Souterrain links · Kreuzberg Registration: galerielinger@gmail.com

Berlin Cybersecurity Social #24
Berlin Cybersecurity Social #24
**THE EVENT IS AT FULL CAPACITY.** **Attendance is only possible if you signed up on our Luma event page and you received confirmation of attendance (not waitlisted).** This session is part of the Berlin Cybersecurity Social community’s monthly meetup, where security professionals, leaders, and enthusiasts come together to share knowledge and connect. So are you a cybersecurity professional looking to connect with like-minded professionals, share experiences, and make friends? Look no further! **Cyber Risk in Banking & Finance: Regulation, Reality, and Measurement (Roundtable & Lightning Talk)** Ever wondered what is really happening in banking and finance when it comes to cybersecurity regulation, risk, and board-level accountability? Join the Berlin Cybersecurity Social community at the **Deutsche Bank Berlin Technology Centre** for an evening focused on how cyber risk is understood, measured, and communicated inside some of the most highly regulated organisations in the world. This month’s edition brings together senior security leaders from banking and fintech sectors for an open discussion and lightning talk on cyber risk, decision-making, and operating security programs in complex, regulated environments. **🔹 Roundtable Discussion - 45 mins** The evening will open with a roundtable conversation featuring: * Deputy CISO from **Deutsche Bank** Carsten Fischer * CISO of **N26** Reinhold Wochner * CSO of **Upvest** Sebastien Jeanquier The discussion will explore how security leaders assess and manage risk, align cybersecurity with business priorities, and communicate effectively with executive leadership and boards. **🎤 Lightning Talk 1 - 30 Mins** **Cyber Risk Quantification: From Theory to Practice** **Dr. Sybe Izaak Rispens** Traditional cybersecurity metrics often fail to express risk in business terms. This session explores how cyber threats can be translated into financial impact using quantitative frameworks such as FAIR. Dr. Rispens will walk through practical steps including identifying critical assets, estimating loss event frequency and magnitude, and using simulations to support decision-making. Drawing on real-world experience from financial institutions, including leadership roles at **Klarna AB** and **Trade Republic Bank**, the talk shows how cyber risk quantification helps security teams prioritize investments, justify budgets at board level, and integrate cybersecurity into enterprise risk management. **🎤 Lightning Talk 2 - 30 mins** **Entropy and Empathy: Applying Technical Writing Principles to Cybersecurity** **Dustin Smith – DB Security Strategy and Frameworks** Despite significant investment in cybersecurity technologies, many successful cyber-attacks still originate from human behavior rather than technical failure. This talk explores why traditional, information-based security awareness programs often fail to translate into secure behavior, and why cybersecurity culture should be understood as a behavioral and organizational change, not just a compliance or training exercise. Drawing on insights from behavioral economics, psychology, and real-world breach data, it highlights how attackers exploit human decision-making habits and social dynamics, and why simply knowing the “right thing” is rarely enough. The presentation introduces a transformational approach to cybersecurity culture that focuses on shaping behavior, norms, and shared responsibility across the organization, especially under pressure and during incidents. It connects cybersecurity culture to cyber resilience, a critical concern for financial institutions, and examines how these challenges are amplified in the AI era, where attacks are faster, more convincing, and more personalized. The goal is to offer a practical, strategic perspective on how financial institutions can move beyond awareness and compliance toward sustainable, human-centered security. *** As always, expect thoughtful discussion, practical insights, and meaningful connections with peers from across the Berlin cybersecurity community. **About Berlin Cybersecurity Social:** This meetup is open to cybersecurity professionals of all levels, from beginners to experts. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting your journey in the field, this event is the perfect opportunity to connect with others who share your passion for cybersecurity.

Let’s be honest. In 2026, you can’t use 2023 strategies and “hope” a deal works out. Demand for rentals, wholesale deals, retail deals, and even loans has changed, and that means that the most active, experienced investors have changed the way they do deals (and maybe even the kinds of deals they’ll do). Here at COREE, our job is to shortcut your learning curve by introducing you to the people and concepts you need to take the shortest path from here to financial freedom, and we think you’ll agree that this meeting is a no-brainer, if you’re serious about making wealth-building deals this year. Here’s the detailed agenda: From 6:00–7:00 p.m., From 7:30–9:00 p.m., Agenda: 5:00–6:00 p.m. Complimentary Light Dinner & Networking 6:00–7:00 p.m\*\*. New Investor Meeting: Basics of Making Money in Rentals with Vena Jones-Cox\*\*. If you’re planning to buy rentals today, you have to know how to evaluate the REAL income and expenses before you make an offer. If you’re new, you’ll finally understand how rentals really produce profit. If you’ve been around a while, you’ll see how today’s numbers change the math. 7:00 –7:30 **Buy-Sell-Trade (Members Only)** Bring your deals, money, buyer lists, referrals, and requests. Fast-moving. Bring flyers or business cards. Guests get a quick orientation with Executive Director Vena Jones-Cox. 7:30–9:00 p.m. **Main Meeting: Your 2026 Buy Box: What Experienced Investors are Buying in 2026 (and what they won’t touch).** Our panel of active, experienced investors will lay out their 2026 buy boxes. Not hypotheticals. Not “in theory.” What they are actually buying—and what they won’t touch. They’ll share: * What property types investors are actively pursuing * What strategies they’ve stopped using * The exact numbers they require before they say yes * How insurance, taxes, and rates have tightened the buy box * What instantly disqualifies a deal in today’s market * How to define your own 2026 buy box based on capital and risk tolerance Members and non-members at any level of knowledge and experience are welcome—as long as you’re serious about real estate, value experience-based, no B.S. education, and want to give as much as you get. Turning Rentals Into Income: How Investors Pay Off Properties Faster
Turning Rentals Into Income: How Investors Pay Off Properties Faster
#### Turning Rentals Into Income: How Investors Pay Off Properties Faster #### **Featuring Guest Speaker: John Blackburn** **👉 Get your FREE TICKET [HERE](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/turning-rentals-into-income-how-investors-pay-off-properties-faster-tickets-1980492192461?aff=cicmeetupapp)** #### A lot of people get into real estate because they want freedom. Then they buy a rental…and realize most of the rent goes straight to the bank. They technically own property, but the mortgage controls the income. And waiting 30 years for properties to be paid off doesn’t feel realistic. This meetup is about understanding a different way to think about rental properties… one that focuses on paying them off sooner so the income is actually usable. **Featured Guest Speaker: John Blackburn** We’re excited to welcome John Blackburn as our guest speaker for this event. John has been actively investing in real estate since 2006 and has: * Been involved in **5,000+ real estate transactions** * Helped investors **acquire over $150 million in rental property** * **Raised more than $100 million** in private capital John didn’t start with family money or shortcuts. He built his portfolio by focusing on clear systems, real numbers, and long-term strategy. For this meetup, John will walk through how investors shift their focus from simply owning rentals to building properties that eventually pay them…without a mortgage attached. **What You’ll Learn** John will break down, in simple terms: * Why most rental properties don’t produce much usable income early on * Why buying more rentals isn’t always the answer * How investors structure their properties to pay off mortgages in a fraction of the time * How properties can work together to eliminate debt faster * What changes once rentals become free and clear This approach is often referred to as an accelerated paydown strategy — using rental income intentionally to reduce debt sooner, rather than waiting decades for mortgages to run their course. John will also share a simple calculator you can use to see how this works with real numbers and realistic scenarios. **The Core Idea** When a rental has a mortgage, the rent has one job: **pay the bank.** When a rental is paid off, the rent has a different job: **pay you.** Most people only see one timeline…30 years. This session shows how investors shorten that timeline and gradually increase their income as properties become free and clear. **Who This Event Is For** This event is for people who want more than just “owning rentals” on paper. * Rental owners who are tired of most of the rent going to the bank and want a clearer path to real, usable income * New investors who want to understand how rental properties actually build wealth over time before jumping in * People with capital who want to invest in real estate with intention and a long-term plan * Anyone serious about freedom and curious how rental properties transition from debt-heavy assets into income-producing ones **Event Details** **Location:** Ohio Brewing Company - 421 E 2nd Ave, Columbus, OH 43201 **Date & Time:** January 25th, 6–8 PM (Doors open at 5:30) **Cost:** Free (Seats are limited - RSVP required) **👉 Get your FREE TICKET [HERE](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/turning-rentals-into-income-how-investors-pay-off-properties-faster-tickets-1980492192461?aff=cicmeetupapp)** If you’ve ever wondered how rental properties actually turn into freedom —this is the room to be in.
