### Fabric CI/CD
**Speaker**: Oliver De Vijt
In Microsoft Fabric, deploying all items efficiently across environments requires a robust CI/CD strategy. While Fabricâs built-in deployment pipelines offer a no-code approach for basic promotion between workspaces, they lack flexibility, automation capabilities, and testing.
In this session, weâll dive deep into Fabric CI/CD practices, leveraging Git integration, the Fabric REST APIs, and the fabric-cicd Python library to automate the deployment of Fabric items such as semantic models, notebooks, dataflows, and reports. Youâll see how to design YAML-based Azure DevOps pipelines that deploy from source control into your Fabric development, test, and production workspaces, and even include steps to run and validate your models using Tabular Editor.
By the end of this session, youâll understand how to implement your own end-to-end CI/CD framework for Microsoft Fabric, even in Power BI Pro environments, using entirely free and open-source tools.
### Intro to Fabric (Data) Pipelines

Fabric Pipelines, formerly known as Fabric Data Pipelines, is the low-code ELT (extract-load-transform) solution in Microsoft Fabric.
With this tool, you can orchestrate various activities, such as reading data from various data sources, executing Spark notebooks, running SQL statements on your warehouse and so on.
In the wider Azure Data Platform, Fabric Pipelines are a close sibling of Azure Data Factory and Synapse Pipelines.
In this session, weâll cover the following topics:

* What are the differences with ADF and Synapse Pipelines?

Are you scared of speaking in public? Nervous about that Best Man speech? Worried about making presentations at work? Or just wanting to gain self-confidence? Then you've come to the right place!
Since 2005, Claddagh Toastmasters of Brussels has been helping people of all nationalities in Brussels to improve their communication and leadership skills. We aim to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop at their own pace, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth.
How does it work?
We have a âlearn by doingâ approach. Our members present speeches to develop a variety of public speaking skills, and also carry out a variety of other meeting roles to practice skills such as listening and giving feedback. Each member works at their own pace â some people like to throw themselves into giving speeches straight away, while others prefer to spend some time attending meetings and carrying out smaller roles to build up their confidence.
Claddagh Toastmaster Members are now able to participate in the international educational programme called Pathways tailor made to meet the needs of the member.

Claddagh Toastmasters are a club with an Irish Flair with a membership from about ten different nationalities. English is mainly spoken at the meeting but there is an opportunity for Irish speakers to speak in Irish (second oldest spoken language in Europe).
You are most welcome to join us as a guest for this 'demonstration meeting' at no cost to see how the club works. Guests will be be asked for a short introduction at the start of the meeting and for their feedback at the end of the meeting. During the meeting there is a coffee break where you can network and discuss the training programme with members. You will also be invited to make a small contribution towards the cost of the teas,coffees and cookies.

Last thing (finally !!!): the first part of the meeting will be held as usual with Table Topics and impromptu speeches and second part consists of prepared speeches given by members in accordance with set objectives followed by evaluations to improve. There is no obligation for guests to speak unless they agree to do so. Afterwards guests can decide if you want to become a member or come back again for a second meeting as a guest.

2. When you enter the gallery, it's either on the right-hand side or left-hand side of its hallway, depending which entrance you take.
3. If you intend **to join past 12:00** (high noon), then there is no need to register. Just come and join!

**THE STRUCTURE of THE EVENT:**
* I will post the event on Saturday/Sunday evening for the following Saturday.
* I send out a reminder to everyone on Friday.
* There is sometimes a waiting list.
* In case RSVP is closed (once there are 10-15 people on the waiting list), I might reopen it on Friday, depending on the number of cancellations in the meantime.
* **For everyone on the waiting,** please check your status and messages on Friday evening the latest. I message everyone on the waiting list on Friday.
* **Please, move to "not going" AS SOON AS you know that you can't come anymore, that includes everyone who is on the waiting list.**

* When you register yourself, be careful not to register accidentally a +1 guest (unless you bring a guest). It happens very often.

**A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:**
*In the three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.*
*Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.*
*I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.*
*In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.*

Hey Folks,
Grands Carmes is hosting their 3rd annual winter queer Market this coming weekend.
Whether you need a last minute gift for a loved one ( or for yourself) or just want to enjoy some crĂȘpes come enjoy the holiday spirit and support queer artists and places that foster them !
Nb: I'll need to leave around 3:30 pm as I'm catching a train later that day, but you're very welcome to stay until 8pm
