One Line Portrait Drawing
A relaxed outdoor sketch meetup in the park 🌿✏️
Let’s spend an evening drawing, chatting, observing, and enjoying a slow creative moment together.
We’ll explore simple and playful line art exercises, sketch portraits of each other, and experiment with seeing differently — no pressure, no “perfect drawing,” and absolutely no experience needed.
I’ll bring a few creative prompts and line art examples to get us started, then we’ll continue with open sketching, conversations, and a casual picnic atmosphere.
To bring:
– your sketchbook
– any drawing and painting mediums
– snacks and drinks
– a blanket
This meetup is about creativity, connection, and enjoying the process together ✨

Walking and drawing : Loop van de Hoop
On Saturday, **June 27**, 2026, visual artist Liesje van den Berk is organizing a drawing walk in collaboration with the Loop van de Hoop to a special place in Amsterdam, the Pepijnpad. This walk, under the title ‘Loop van de Hoop’, invites you to pause and reflect on loss, resilience, and the beauty of your surroundings while walking and drawing.
**Stillness and Observation**
Loop van de Hoop was created to give grief a place – a public space where stillness and reflection take center stage. During this walk, you set out with a graphite pencil: you look, feel, listen, and smell, and capture your observations on paper. Liesje van den Berk guides the group with short drawing assignments and practical tips, ensuring that everyone – whether you are experienced or drawing for the first time – participates. Drawing materials are provided.
In 2026, visual artist Liesje van den Berk is once again organizing monthly drawing walks through Amsterdam North. She does this in collaboration with Boekhandel van Noord and the Boven ’t Y Shopping Centre. Drawing walks and walks with writers alternate. This year, some drawing walks are even combined with a writer or storyteller.
During the walk, you set out with a pencil or let yourself be inspired by stories. You look, listen, feel, and capture everything on paper. The walks are for everyone; no experience is necessary. Let yourself be surprised!
Visual artist and teacher Liesje van den Berk will guide you with short drawing assignments and practical tips. Whether you are experienced or drawing for the first time: this is an inspiring day to experience Amsterdam North in a new way.
Walk in: 10:30
Time: 11.00-13.00
Starting point: Boekhandel van Noord, Buikslotermeerplein 70, Amsterdam
Free of charge
Walking distance: about 5 km

Karaoke Chaos & Korean BBQ Night @Duke of Tokyo & Daebak Utrecht 🎤🔥
Get ready for a night of questionable singing, sizzling grills, and unforgettable chaos in the heart of Utrecht!
We’ll kick off the evening at [Duke of Tokyo Utrecht](https://dukeoftokyo.com/en), one of the city’s most iconic karaoke spots. Hidden beneath the streets of Utrecht in a neon-lit Tokyo-inspired wonderland, this place is all about private karaoke rooms, over-the-top vibes, cocktails, and singing your heart out with friends.
After warming up our vocal cords (and possibly damaging them forever), we’ll take a short walk to [Daebak Korean BBQ](https://daebakbbq.nl/) for an interactive Korean BBQ dinner experience. Expect tabletop grills, endless sizzling meat, delicious banchan, and the kind of food coma that only Korean BBQ can deliver.
**🕒 Schedule**
* **17:30 – 19:30** → Karaoke at Duke of Tokyo
* **20:00 – 22:00** → Korean BBQ dinner at Daebak
The two venues are within walking distance from each other.
**💰 Costs**
**Karaoke Only**
* Karaoke at Duke of Tokyo: **€18**
**Korean BBQ Only**
* Korean BBQ dinner at Daebak: **€42**
**Full Evening**
* Karaoke + Korean BBQ: **€60**
*Drinks are not included.*
**⚠️ Important Information**
* You are welcome to join **only the karaoke**, **only the dinner**, or **both activities**.
* RSVP means commitment to attend.
* Everyone pays for themselves.
* Please arrive on time so we can enter the karaoke rooms together.
* Bring your best (or worst) song choices.
* No singing talent required — enthusiasm is far more important.
Expect a night full of laughter, dramatic performances, K-pop singalongs, nostalgic 2000s hits, smoky BBQ grills, and probably at least one accidental duet.
