These technologies are integral to numerous sectors such as manufacturing, energy, transportation, medical, and utilities, where they play a crucial role in the operation and management of physical processes. As OT systems become more interconnected and integrated with Information Technology (IT) networks, they face increased vulnerability to large-scale cyber attacks. This integration, while beneficial for operational efficiency and data sharing, exposes OT systems to the same cyber threats that typically target IT environments. The goal of the OWASP OT Top 10 is to raise awareness about the top security risks and vulnerabilities specific to OT environments. **Speaker:** **Siegfried** **Hollerer** has seven years of experience as a penetration tester, focusing on the analysis of web applications, IT/OT infrastructures, and social engineering attacks. In addition to his practical experience, he has obtained an OSCP certificate. Furthermore, Siegfried has gained experience in incident response. During this time, he also carried out security management consultations, audits and certifications based on the OT security standard IEC 62443 and the IT security standard ISO 27000. In 2023, Siegfried joined the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) in Austria as a security architect and analyst to enforce the “Netz- und Informationssystemsicherheitsgesetz” (NISG), which is the national implementation of the NIS EU directive [cf. Directive (EU) 2016/1148] . **Talk 2: "Recurring Security Pitfalls in Cyber-Physical Systems: A Cross-Domain Analysis"** Cyber-physical systems (CPS) repeatedly exhibit similar security weaknesses across domains, despite differing technologies and operational contexts. This talk explores recurring security pitfalls in areas such as manufacturing, energy, and aerospace. By analyzing common patterns, we reveal the root causes and discuss strategies for designing more resilient CPS architectures and engineering practices. **Speaker:** **Matthias Eckhart** is a postdoctoral scientist at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. Previously, he worked on privacy and responsible AI at Amazon, conducted security research at SBA Research, and developed software at NXP Semiconductors. **Philipp-S. Vogt** is a research engineer and PhD candidate at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. Vogt received a MSc in electrical engineering from TU Wien. His research interests include cyber-physical systems, embedded systems and cyber security.

Wir treffen uns dieses Mal auf Grund von Bauarbeiten bei der U4 Station Friedensbrücke Ausgang Straßenbahn 5 und 12!!!** *This week's event will be hosted by Sridhar (Srinivasan) one of our regulars, who is rediscovering the joy of being in nature and in community. He enjoys the stimulating interactions that arise from new connections while walking, and hopes that others also find their spark and are moved to flow, that eventually fulfills them.* **Walk & Talk** Willst du auch mehr Bewegung in dein Leben bringen? Und dich dabei noch gut unterhalten, so dass die Zeit verfliegt? Dann bist du hier genau richtig, denn mir geht es genauso. Alleine ist langweilig und die Zeit vergeht nicht, daher hab ich mir Walk & Talk überlegt. Inspiriert wurde ich durch die Walk & Talk Gruppe in Hamburg, wo ich mehrere Male dabei war als ich in Hamburg lebte. Unterschiedliche Menschen treffen sich einmal in der Woche für einen flotten Spaziergang und unterhalten sich dabei. Ich liebe es neue Menschen kennenzulernen und auch bekannte Gesichter wiederzusehen, dann geh ich ganz nebenbei und das macht auch noch Spaß.😊 **Walk:** Wir brauchen einfach regelmäßige Bewegung und ich weiß selbst, wie schwierig es ist, diese in den Alltag zu integrieren. Deshalb ist dieser Walk genau richtig. Nach diesem Spaziergang fühlst du dich einfach wohl, fit und entspannt. **Talk:** Das Reden kommt ganz von selbst beim Gehen. Du kannst über alles reden, egal, ob privates oder berufliches, alles was sich ergibt ist willkommen. Und wenn du keinen Bock aufs Reden hast, dann gehst du alleine, auch das ist völlig in Ordnung. **Wie das ganze abläuft:** * Die Teilnahme ist völlig kostenlos. * Wo: U6 Spittelau (im Freien), Richtung Donaukanal, Ausgang Josef-Holaubek-Platz, direkt vor dem Fernwärme-Turm (https://maps.app.goo.gl/XwAayz4FQe2EW8WK9) * Wann: Wir treffen uns dienstags um 13 Uhr, egal, ob bei Regen, Sturm und Kälte oder bestem Sonnenschein – Walk & Talk findet nahezu JEDE Woche statt außer ich bin mal im Urlaub. * Wir starten pünktlich und beginnen mit einer kurzen Vorstellungsrunde. * Wie gehen am Donaukanal entlang von Höhe Spittelau bis zum Schwedenplatz und zurück. * Ca. 7 Kilometer sind wir unterwegs und unterhalten uns dabei mit interessanten Menschen. Dabei kannst du neue Bekanntschaften schließen, dich inspirieren lassen, von Projekten erzählen oder einfach nur smalltalken und die frische Luft genießen. Alles ist erlaubt. * Nach ca. 1,75 Stunden sind wir wieder am Ausgangspunkt zurück. * Bei einer Teilnahme von über 5 Personen gehen wir in Paaren und wechseln diese alle 10 Min. The event is part of our WEEKLY MEETUP SERIES. ---- Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The organiser will reserve courts in advance - PLEASE ONLY REGISTER IF YOU REALLY PLAN ON COMING (OR CANCEL ASAP IF SOMETHING CAME UP). We are meeting at about 07:50 pm near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. There is also a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle. The organiser will be at the club about 5 min. ahead of time and pay for everyone - please bring if possible exact change and pay the organiser after the event! The fee for this event is 6€. It is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3€). Sometimes members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below! If you are joining our events for the first time, WELCOME! Let the organizer know that you are new and they will find a place for you. Don't worry, we are an open and friendly group. With over 15 years of experience in improv, you can see him with The English Lovers, one of Vienna’s longest-standing improv groups, Two-Buttons Short, and with Rainbow’s Last Wish. We warmly invite you to our **Kick-off Event: Film Screening & Cultural Exhibition**, organized by *Medizin- und Nothilfe für Sudan e.V.* in collaboration with the **Office for Antiracism Work (ÖH University of Vienna)**. We will be showing the film Tajouj (1977), which is set in eastern Sudan a hundred years ago. The kick-off event also includes a cultural exhibition featuring Sudanese products. The war in Sudan began on April 15, 2023, due to political tensions and the refusal of the RSF militia to integrate into the national army. Since then, over 14 million people have been displaced. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Sudan continues to commit crimes against civilians, forced evictions, looting and robbery, beatings, rape, and sexual harassment. The brutal genocidal war in Alfashir 11 in 2025 after the RSF militia conquered the Darfur region. The RSF militia took over the Darfur region in November 2025. The war is currently also concentrated in Kordofan, violence against civilians and women continues. In addition, there are drone attacks from RSF-Miliz on other regions in Sudan, targeting electricity and water supplies as well as fuel depots. Over 50% of hospitals have been destroyed or are out of service, and the RSF militia has used schools, hospitals, and residential buildings as military bases. Furthermore, there is a shortage of medicines, supply chains have been disrupted, and health facilities have been largely destroyed. Our Association for Medicine and Emergency Aid for Sudan is committed to supporting healthcare initiatives and emergency relief throughout Sudan. This year, we are running a dialysis aid project and combating infectious diseases such as dengue fever and cholera in Sudan. **Complex Trauma Support Group** Our group is intended for survivors of complex trauma. If you are here, it’s likely that so much of who you are and what you have experienced in this life is actually invisible to most people––to family, society, coworkers, and the people who are around you. We are a peer-led group of survivors creating opportunities for ourselves and others to share our experiences, share support, and build relationships in kind community together. Survivor experiences might include: child sexual abuse, incest, child trafficking, and other experiences of people living with traumatic dissociation and complex PTSD. **What to expect at your first meeting:** Currently, we are offering a bi-monthly in person group at 2:00pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. The only criterion for joining the group is that you are a survivor of trauma wishing to have more kindness in your own life and share kindness with others, and that you agree to practice to group’s relational agreements available for view here: https://www.kindgroups.com/agreements. Joining the group is free of charge. We ask that new people connect with us for 30 minutes on the phone or on zoom before coming to their first group, so that we can determine together that we are a good fit. Our meetings last approximately 90 minutes. Participants are never required to share. You’re also welcome to choose a pseudonym and you will never be asked for private information. You are welcome to leave at any time. The kindness that survivors can share when among others who have survived similar childhood experiences is something we rarely get to experience. Time spent with others who understand even a little bit more about us is a relief. Our hope is to help ourselves and others experience that we are not alone. Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.
