🎶 Singing Team Interest Meeting
\*\***NOTE**: The location is in the Upper East Side. I will be DMing new members who RSVP with additional information about the exact location, and the music we are learning. Please check your DMs!
Hi there! 👋 Do you love to sing, but only sing in the shower 🚿, when you're alone, or in Karaoke 🎤 ? Have you thought about getting singing lessons (or maybe you've taken some), but they're getting kinda expensive 💰? Do you just need an excuse to sing, or want to make other musical friends? 🎵 ASN is recruiting new members for its singing team. We do both acapella songs, songs with musical accompaniment, as well as duets to help you focus on harmonization, performance, and vocal technique. 😊
You don't need to know how to read music 🎼 or be an especially amazing singer. 🎶 We are an amateur group with people who are passionate about singing, have a strong desire to improve, and want to make more musical friends in a casual judgement free environment! Everyone is always learning and improving and that's ok! 👌 To get the most out of the experience, you should also be willing to study and learn music at home. We will provide resources to help with this as well! 📚
The types of arrangements we typically sing are arranged into an SATB format (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass). You can google these terms and figure out which voice type is most suitable for you.

**WHAT IS A SECRET NETWORKING EVENT?**
This event is for those who want to network for business or just want to come out and socialize. Whether you are an entrepreneur, small business owner, business professional or just someone who wants to meet new people, this event is for you! It's the perfect opportunity to get away from your desk, have some cocktails and network with potential business partners, investors, industry professionals and new clients.... Or make some new friends! We've witnessed countless business connections and friendships form at our past events. We'd say about 70% of the crowd is usually single so it can be a great place to meet someone special as well. A Secret Networking Event is a revolutionary new event that is changing the way people network in NYC. It is a fun and easy way to connect with others in a relaxed, low pressure environment.
**SECRET SYMBOL**
After you sign up we'll send you an email with a list of different industries and interests to choose from. Each industry/interest will have a different "secret symbol". This secret symbol will let the other event attendees know what industry/industries you're in or what topic/topics you're interested in. Once you select what industry and/or topics you're interested in you'll be directed to a page with printable paper bracelet templates with your secret symbol on them. You can select one industry or multiple industries or topics. If you don't have access to a printer you can simply draw the secret symbol/s on the back of your hand with a marker or pen before arriving at the event.
For example... those in the tech industry might have a triangle as their secret symbol... those in the real estate industry might have a square as their secret symbol... those single and looking to potentially meet someone special might have a circle as their secret symbol... those interested in crypto might have a lightning bolt as their secret symbol, etc. Then you simply show up at the venue at the listed start time and get started meeting people.
**\*\* EVENT LOCATION IS LISTED ON THE EVENTBRITE PAGE \*\***
*\* QUICK NOTE: THIS IS A MULTI-MEETUP GROUP EVENT. 25 OTHER GROUPS HAVE ALSO BEEN INVITED SO WE'LL BE SURE TO HAVE A GOOD SIZE TURNOUT. THE RSVP LIST ON MEETUP ONLY REFLECTS A SMALL PORTION OF ACTUAL ATTENDEES.*
*An email we received about one of our recent events: "Thank you so much for throwing such a great event. The crowd was really great and everyone was super friendly. As a busy professional I don't get that much time to get out and meet people so it was nice to be in such a relaxed environment. Event well done!" - Danielle, NYC*

We use our glow bracelet color coding system as just one of the ways for you to identify and instantly connect with others who have the same interests as you!
How it works:
**We will have 6 different colored glow bracelets at the check in table. Each bracelet represents something that you are interested in (Green=outdoor activities, Red=singles events, Blue=arts/culture, Yellow=travel, etc). You will choose up to 3 colors that best represent things that interest you.**

Job Club - for job seekers and career changers
This event will be held via Zoom. Please email host Anne Wallman (anne@careerselections.com) for the Zoom link.
On the first Sunday of the month at 2 pm the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County is holding a free Job Club--a support group for job seekers and career changers. The group meets for 1.5 hours and is led by professional career consultant and recruiter Anne Wallman. Participants share ideas and experiences, critique each other's resumes and cover letters, explore opportunities that might be good options, network with each other, learn how to market themselves via social media, and take part in mini-workshops designed to help in their job search.
Share your stories and receive encouragement and comments from the group. Explore strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats to employment. All job seekers and career changers are welcome. Please RSVP to let us know if you will be attending.

"The need for blood is ongoing, but COVID-19 has destroyed the foundation on which the community donates blood to patients served by New York Blood Center.
Every week, more than 75,000 blood donations and 1,700 donated platelet units are needed to meet patient need. To ensure we are prepared to support health agencies in our communities and across the country, NYBCe strongly urges individuals who feel healthy and well to make an appointment at a donor center or find a new community blood drive.
DONORS PRESENTING:
" Regardless of vaccination status, ALL donors MUST wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose
Must be 14 days symptom free if recovered from COVID-19
May NOT donate if they have a positive diagnostic test or experienced symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days
May not donate if they have been told to self-quarantine due to exposure risk, including travel. We follow current State and CDC travel recommendations.
